Abilities/powers: Squid has four fleshy tentacles that protrude from his back. They have a reach of about ten feet each. They are simple and small, only a few inches in circumference, but are incredibly strong nonetheless. Each tentacle can easily lift about half of Squid's own body weight (around 60-70 lbs.). His main weakness is that he relies on his tentacles quite a bit so he isn't as strong physically without using them.

General appearance: Squid has shaggy black hair that often hangs down over his gray eyes. He is very slim and often wears baggy or loose fitting clothes. Normally he keeps his tentacles wrapped around his chest and arms to avoid any unwanted attention. He stands only 5'6 and weighs only 140 lbs.

Additional Appearance: He has the word 'squid' tattooed on the right side of his neck.

Personality: Squid's time on the streets have made him exceptionally self-reliant, and cocky. He believes that he doesn't need anyone to help him do anything. This trait can make him extremely stubborn when he actually needs the help. He generally likes to stick to himself, but is fiercely loyal when someone proves themselves to be genuine. He has a hard time trusting other people, but he is not sure why. He has an easier time trusting women than men, and is extremely protective of them almost like a sense of chivalry. 
 
Special Skills: He is an exceptional pickpocket, escape artist, as well as being talented with a pencil or brush. He also seems to have a natural knack for acrobatics as well as an interest in both parkour/free running as well as kung fu movies.

Place of birth: Unknown, but he woke up in a hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

Brief History: Squid remembers absolutely nothing before his powers manifested so to speak two years ago. He doesn't remember any family or friends, just waking up in a hospital to the looks of horror on the faces of the staff when they saw he had four tentacles sprouting out of his back. He didn't know what to do and ended up fighting his way out of the hospital. Scared and alone he learned to survive on the streets. He learned to steal and fight and with his extra appendages ended up very good at it. He did what he had to survive and survive he did. He spent a great deal of time around the different areas of Boston until he caught the attention of the mob. They wanted him to work for them, but he refused. He worked for himself, and ONLY himself. They didn't take very kindly to his refusal so he had to flee the city. He traveled a little bit and ended up in New York after hearing of Xavier's school. He hopes that maybe he could be accepted and find safety.
