Gaara growled and blocked the wind attack with his inpenetratable sand shield.

"Wow! That was really good." Aedin laughed, "Not many are able to stop that you know." She was having fun, more fun than she'd had in a while.

Todd looked at Shadow,"those two are battling."he pointed at Gaara and Aedin.

Shadow blinked,"Oh?So they are,cool."

Gaara smiled a smile that anyone would fear. His eyes had a look of the monster hiding inside him.

Kankuro bit his bottom lip. "AEDIN! BE CAREFUL!" He yelled. He looked at Gaara's sadistic eyes. "Please, dont release that thing, Gaara." He said quietly to himself. He looked up at saw Shadow and Todd. He leaped over to them. "Who are you?"

"Don't worry about me." Aedin smirked, shrugging off his worry, she was more than capable of taking on whatever Gaara threw at her.

Todd looked at Kankuro,"My name is Todd."

Shadow looked at Kankuro,"Hi,my name is Shadow."He's kind of cute.she thought to herself.

Kiba shrugged also. "Sounds good to me!"

Kana nodded, walking along right beside Kiba, trying to act like him. "Yes, sounds good to me too"

Mae chuckled softly as she watched Kiba and Kana. "Tell me Kana, why do you follow Kiba around like that?"

Kana grinned at Mae. "Because he's the best... If I learn from the best, then I'll get better! And BE better then him!" she poked Kiba's arm.

Kiba frowned and shook his head and glanced at Mae.

Mae looked at Kiba and smiled. "What? I just asked her something."

Kiba shrugged and sighed.

Kana grinned widely. "And I'm only speaking the truth!" she said in a chipper voice.

Mae walked right up to Kiba and smiled at him. "Well, are we going to eat or what?"

Kiba couldn't help but smile. He nodded. "Yes, lets go"

Mae grabbed Kiba's hand and dragged him back towards Konoha. "Should be interesting." she chuckled.

Kiba chuckled also and obediently followed Mae.

Kana skipped along beside them.

Mae looked at Kiba, blushing lightly and smiled. "Well after we eat...what do you want to do?"

"Try to ditch the kid and hang out?" Kiba aswered softly so Kana couldn't hear him.

Mae chuckled softly. "Alright, sounds like a plan," she said quietly.

Kiba nodded, smiling. (answer more when my arms aren't about to fall off)

Mae looked at Kiba suddenly and leaned over quickly, placing a kiss on his cheek.

Kiba blinked, looked at Mae and half smiled. A light blush started to cover his cheeks.

Mae giggled softly and looked down, blushing as well. "Sorry, I just had to."

Kiba shrugged. "It's alright" he said softly before leaning forward and planting a small peck of a kiss on Mae's lips.

Kana gasped and clapped wildly. "YAY!!!" she exclaimed loudly.

Mae blushed brightly, her eyes wide as she looked at Kiba and then smiled softly. "I wasn't expecting this."

Kiba smiled, leaning back. His hand was on the back of his head nervously. "Neither was I really..."

Mae smiled a little more and then returned his kiss. "That's ok, it was interesting." she whispered.

Kiba blushed abit more this time. "That it was" he answered.

Kana cheered again and glomped Kiba from behind, huggling his neck. "YAY!!!! Kiba!!! You've got a girlfriend!!" she squealed loudly.

Mae looked at Kana, blinking and smiled at Kiba. "Is she really always like that?"

Kiba's smile disappeared from his face as he glanced at Kana, then back at Mae. "Unfortunately yes... I've found if you just ignore her..." he paused then frowned. "Oh, who am I kidding.. nothing makes her go away"

Mae giggled softly and kissed him once again. "Sounds like Konohamaru and Naruto there."

Kiba rolled his eyes and nodded. "Yes."

Mae took Kiba's hand once again. "Kana, are you hungry??"

"Yes!!!! I am!!!" Kana exclaimed loudly.

"Well can you run to the ramen shop and save some places for us?" Mae asked smiling, "Since I bet you're a lot faster then us."

"Sure can!!! SEE YA THERE!!" Kana waved over her shoulder as she dashed off to the ramen shop.

Kiba blinked. "How the hell did you just do that?"

Mae looked at Kiba and smirked. "My little secret," she chuckled.

Kiba raised an eyebrow. "Well, good job anyways..."

Mae smiled widely. "Thanks, but I guess we can take our time now to get there."

"I'm not very hungry anyways" Kiba chuckled.

"I'm not either," Mae said as she took Kiba's hand.

Kiba held Mae's hand gently. "So, where shall we go?"

Mae shrugged and frowned as she looked down. "I don't know."

Kiba thought for a moment. "How about we just keep walking through the woods here..."

Mae nodded. "Sounds good," she smiled and looked at Kiba slightly.

Kiba led her through some bushes to a path in the trees. He smiled and started down the path slowly.

Mae blinked as she looked around. "I've never been around here," she said.

"I bring Akamaru out here to run sometimes" Kiba answered, putting the small white puppy on the ground. "There ya go..." he said as Akamaru took off running.

Mae giggled as she watched Akamaru and moved a little closer to Kiba. "Thanks."

Kiba glanced at Mae sideways. "For what?"

"For everything I guess," Mae said smiling, "The last time I had this much fun was before Shiona left Konoha."

Kiba was now looking at Mae. He gently put his arm around her shoulders and looked over at Akamaru bouncing around in front of them.

Mae blushed lightly and smiled a little more as she too watched Akamaru. "He seems to be having fun."

"He's a dog.. he ALWAYS has fun" Kiba answered as Akamaru disappeared into a patch of bushes.

Mae looked at Kiba and giggled softly. "Aren't you?"

"Aren't I what?" Kiba answered, glancing at Mae fast before looking back to the bushes where Akamaru had disappeared.

"Having fun," Mae said and looked around slightly.

Kiba looked at Mae and smiled widely. "Of course I am"

Mae looked back at Kiba and giggled. "Good."

Kiba stretched and yawned widely, grinning happily as he did.

Mae couldn't help but giggle and lightly poke Kiba's side.

Kiba jumped lightly and looked at Mae.

"What?" Mae asked innocently.

Kiba shook his head, smiling lightly. "Nothing"

Mae giggled and hugged Kiba tightly.

"Get away from here...now. Before either of you get hurt. This is a private battle." Kankuro demanded. He glanced back down at Gaara.

Gaara stood with an odd smirk on his face. He did a ninja hand sign and suddenly his arm grew a massive amount. The jinchuriki was finally being released.

"GAARA! NO!" Kankuro yelled and jumped infront of Aedin. "Get away from here...Now!..."

"What's going on with him?" Aedin questioned, she was curious, not frightened, by the massive increase in Gaara's chakra, as well as the changes happening in his appearance.

"Ichibi no Shukaku..."(One-Tailed Shukaku) Kankuro muttered to himself. "Shukaku is one of the Jinchūriki." He told Aedin.

"Ah," Aedin nodded, "I've heard of the Jinchūriki." She murmured, "Honestly, though, you don't have to worry about my safety." She gave a secretive wink.

Kankuro shook his head. "I can't let you fight Gaara. You will be killed!"

He misjudges my strength... Aedin sighed inwardly, "I won't fight him if the out come has an undesirable outcome of some sort or other.."

Gaara got frustrated seeing Kankuro standing in the way of the opponent. "UHG!" The Jinchūriki's arm slashed at Kankuro knocking him down and out of the way. Gaara smiled peering sadistically at Aedin. "Let us finish..."

"Tsk, tsk, that's bad manners." Aedin muttered, "Attacking your brother. Fine then, let us finish."

Shadow ran over to Kankuro and knelt next to him,"Are you alright?"

Todd looked at Gaara,"Ichibi no Shukaku."he said without fear or alarm.

Gaara growled and made a handsign with only one hand since the other was that of the monster slowly flowing out of him.

"Get him up and out of here." Aedin warned, "I'll keep him busy. Looks like he needs a lesson in control anyway." She began forming rapid handseals.

Kankuro opened his eyes slightly and grumbled. "What the he-" He jumped up when he remember where he was. "AEDIN! NO!" he yelled loudly.

Gaara's eyes suddenly went black and gold when he suddenly went into full transmutation. He made a handsign and suddenly fell into a sleep fully releasing the Ichibi no Shukaku. "AHHAHAH! IM FREE AGAIN!" Shukaku laughed.

Shadow fell backward when Kankuro jumped up.

Todd grabbed Kankuro's wrist,"You can't do anything,if you try he'll surely kill you,and that girl wants to fight him."

Kankuro's eyes widened when the demon was awoken.

Shukaku laughed hysterically. "This little girl thinks she can defeat me?"

Todd looked at Kankuro,"If she didn't know she could handle it she wouldn't have challenged him,and if it get's too dangerous you can step in,I'll step in too."

"Seriously, I've got it." Aedin called back to them, "Don't worry so much. I'm not a kid." She turned her attention back to Shukaku, "So, you're Gaara's demon, hm?" She chuckled, "Hope you're stronger than you look."

Shukaku laughed. "This brat still dares to take me." He swung his huge tail knocking down pillars of sand around him. "Well bring it tuts."

Aedin giggled, easily maneuvering about the sand, "What, not gonna show me what you're made of first?" She almost pouted.

Shukaku swung his huge arm as an answer to Aedin. He knocked down more sand pillars and created a blasting sand storm that should be impossible to see through.
