Prologe

  It's been a week or so since Atamis once again dissapeared and Rika's been deep into studying the orb ever since that bizzare event. So far nothing else has happened that been strange. She hasn't been able to find out much about the orb. This has her stumpted and agrovated. She took the orb and went to go look for a book on it, and has come back succesful. Koenma summoned the team to the tower, but of corse, Yusuke is late. Rika isn't allowed to returned to the tower unless she brings Yusuke. This'll be interesting.....

      Chapter 1: Argument and departure

  Rika made a small glare and put her hands on her hips as she looked up, "Detective.......Urameshi...URAMESHI.......SPIRIT WORLD DETECTIVE................YUSUKEEEEEE!!!" she yelled. Yusuke peered down at her for a moment. "Urameshi, what on Earth are you doing up there!? We were supposed to go to the tower an hour ago!" Yusuke was on a ladder, fixing the sign to Keiko's home resteraunt. He looked down at her with nails in his teeth and a hammer in his hand, "Hello to you, too." he said and turned back to fixing the sign. "I've been waiting at that pathetic human train station for an hour!" Rika shouted. "Then why don't you go to the tower by yourself?" Yusuke bared no mind to her. "The only reason I'm not there is because that stupid Spirit world baby who calls himself a ruler is making me meet up with you! I have the Black Orb and he 'doesn't want any demons to show their faces in the living world'. So he wants you to occomapany me. I don't see why, I can take care of myself." Rika said crossing her arms over her chest and turning her head to the side. "No, he doesn't want you being attacked when your so vunerable." Yusuke said as he paused from hammering. Rika eyed him, "What do you mean, vunerable?" Yusuke stopped hammering and turned to look at her, "Don't forget, your still mortally wounded." Rika glared then looked away, "What do you know!?" "You know....that hole in your stomache." Yusuke said. Rika turned her head up and to the side, shutting her eyes tight. "The one Hiei got so worried about when he saw you bleeding on the floor, half-dead. The one he tried to fix up..." Yusuke continued. Then he turned back to the sign and hammered once before saying, "You know if you die he'll be devistated." Rika glared hard to the side and said through the grit of her teeth, "Shut...up..." Then Yusuke came down on the ladder. He turned to her, "Wait here, we'll go in a moment." He grabbed the ladder and too it through the back ally. Rika's fists were so tight that she could break even the hardest of steel. "Your not...going to get away with saying that, Urameshi..." she mumbled to herself. Then he came out from the ally, "Listen, I'm too busy with Keiko's stupid orders. Like I'd want to spend my day stairing at a jewel anyway. So, go to the tower and tell Koenma I'm just going to pass on this one..." Yusuke started to walk in, but stopped suddenly. Rika had pulled one of her swords on him and pointed it straight at him, "Stupid human! ONE! I don't TAKE orders, expecially from a human!! UNFORTUNETLY the only one I'm FORCED to listen to is that little child. He DIRECTLY told me that I HAVE to come to the tower with you, if not then I can't get in and study the orb. Wheather you like it or not your comming with m-huh?" her sword fell to the ground and the blade, drivin into the concreat. Yusuke had his fist tightened around her wrist and looked her straight in the eye. Though his were calming when he pulled her in and put his other arm around her shoulders. Before she knew it......she was being dragged into the house by the neck. "Come on..." Yusuke said. "LET GO OF ME YOU STUPID LITTLE-" "Little what? Your the one's who's shorter!" Yusuke yelled, closing the door behind him.
   Inside the restaurant Rika struggled to get free of Yusuke’s grip as he called, “YO! KEIKO! I’M DONE WITH YOUR STUPID SIGN-OWWW!!!!!” Rika had broken free and smack Yusuke clearly over the head. As she fixed her dress she said, “Do that again and you won’t live to see another day. Yusuke rubbed his head, “THEN BE PATIENT NEXT TIME, WILL YA!?!!” He shouted. “I’VE BEEN PATIENT FOR THE LAST HOUR!!” Rika shouted back. That’s when Keiko came running down, “YUSUKE! What’s going on in he-Oh…” she noticed Rika who was looking at her over her shoulder. Then she popped up in front of Yusuke with an extremely angry face, “Yusuke….You’d better not be going on some mission. You PROMISED you’d say here and help out today.” “Yeah, Keiko…but I’m already late for-” “I DON’T CARE!! YOU PROMISED, YUSUKE! I’m sick of you always running off! Ditching school and you never have time to spend with your friends.” Keiko interrupted. Rika was pissed off at this point. She put a hand on Keiko’s shoulder, “Excuse me, but unless you want to see your city destroyed by a demon, then I suggest you let him come with me!” "A...demon...well...ok...Then I guess you can go." Keiko said a little shaky and Rika instantly snatched Yusuke by the back of his shirt and dragged him out the door.
   Halfway down the street, "OWOWOW!! RIKA! LET GO OF ME! Geeze, I'm getting skid marks on my skin, even..." Yusuke said, and then he tried to look back at her, "And why'd you tell Keiko that there's a demon attacking!? I just thought we were going to the stupid tower!" he continued to shout. "Your even more pathetic then I thought. It was the only way I was going to get you out of there. Otherwise we'd still be there." Rika answered. Yusuke blinked, "Oh....WELL CAN YOU AT LEAST LET GO OF ME!?!?" he tried to pry her hand of his shirt as he struggled. Then Rika let go and he hit the pavement, "Ow..." Then he looked back to Rika who was already far ahead. "HEY! WAIT UP!!" he shouted as he ran to catch her.

   Yusuke and Rika had borded a trian to get out of the city. "Remind me...why do we need to take a 'train' just to get to the forest?" Rika questioned in an annoyed voice. "Because, walking to the portal takes a day. This way we can get there in time." Yusuke said, also annoyed. "I could be getting there faster by myself...but no, Koenma's making me take a slow human like you." Rika said. "HEY! DON'T BLAME ME! THAT'S HIS IDEA, OK!?!" Yusuke crossed his arms and looked the other way. "Well maybe if you weren't always late, we wouldn't have to go through this!!" Rika said. "WHATEVER! Let's just ignore each other till we get there! How's that!?!" Yusuke shouted. "Fine with me!" Rika at lest agreed to that. Both agreeing on that, they didn't talk, nor look at each other untill they reached their destination.

   They came to a small station in a huge forest. Rika hung her brown, cylinder-shaped bag over her shoulder by a brown leather strap. Yusuke looked around, "Greeeeaaatt....So where's the portal, miss. I think I know everything?" Yusuke taunted. Rika didn't say anything, just started walking forwards. Yusuke blinked, "HEY!" he grunted and then shouted as he ran forwards, "WAIT UP!"
   Walking through the forest seemed to take forever. Yusuke moaned, "UUHHHHGG! Aren't we there yet!?" "NO! Now shut up!" Rika shouted. Yusuke moaned again, but didn't say anything.
   After a while of more walking and more of Yusuke complaining, they reached a large meadow that was surrounded by a boarder of trees. The two stood in the middle of it as the wind blew. "So where's the portal?" Yusuke asked with a hand in his pocket. Rika didn't say anything to him, let along look at him. She placed two fingers in her mouth and blew. As a loud whistle rang out across the hills, something began to form in front of them. Then in a flash of light, a spirling vortext formed in front of them. Rika and Yusuke struggled a little not to get pulled in right away. "THAT'S IT!?" Yusuke shouted over the roar of the portal. "LET'S GO!" Rika said and jumped in. "HEY!!" Yusuke began to mumble before jumping in after her.
   The portal brought them outside of their little tower. Rika began to walk to the door as Yusuke glared at her in a funny way before trudging in. Going to the top floor where the living area was, they found Hiei, Kurama, Kuwabara, Koenma, and Botan were waiting there. Hiei wasn't too happy as he glared Yusuke down for making Rika late. Rika walked over and sat down beside Hiei as Yusuke sat on the couch. "Koenma, why have you summond us here?" Kurama asked. "I'll begin explaining as soon as Rika gives me te orb." Koenma said as he looked over to Rika. SHe rolled her eyes, took theorb out of her bag, and tossed it over to Koenma. Just barely catching it he said with a little sarcasum, "Thank you..." he turned back to the others, "I wished to descuse the matter of the-AHHHH!" The orb had shocked him and it clattered against the table before stopping. "KOENMA, SIR! Are you ok?" Botan asked. He held his wrist with his other hand as he began to breath hard, "Yeah...I'm fine. What was-" "I guess the orb has a mid of it's own. It only lets certain people touch it." Rika skirked as she faced the other way with her eyes closed. Koenma finnaly caught his breath as he glared a little at her. Then he turned back the other way and stood up straight, "Yes, well...." his eyes glanced at the orb for a moment, "Shall we begin?"
