A compilation of the denizens living inside and at the fringes of the Valghast empire

a break down of the each races elemental potential is below the race descriptions

Elves: They have always had a place in the Valghast valley. They brought out the psychogenic potential of the xen, teaching the Humans to wield elemental powers they had previously thought reserved for gods. The wood elves in particular have been resilient to the empire's expansion, often leading to armed conflict.

Humans: The most numerous in the valley and in the world. Not particularly known for their wit or magic prowress they make up for in their numbers and drive to subjugate. The barbarian tribes on the borders have been a constant nuisance.

Dwarves: Master Artisans, and stubborn and as any mule. They are a dwindling race though for the orcs have waged a centuries long war underground for control of their might mountain fortresses.

Vampires: An Elite, yet rare race that prey upon the unsuspecting. Each individual or coven commands their own fortress nestled secretively in the mountains. When Rarkov invaded his armies destroyed many of the covens, and the survivors are a highly suspicious lot.

Crusnik: A race of Vampire hunters whose origins are both unknown and unspoken about. They hide in plain sight allowing the legend of their species to grow, forcing their adversaries further into hiding. The Valghast Crusnik clan is known for their loyalty to Uriel.

Were-creatures: Often a pariah race due to the recent wars and how brutally Uriel excecuted his campaign in supressing any and all opposition to his army. It was rumored he was slew thousands on a rumor that they where sympathizers. The stone breakers legion leveled nearly every fortress in those short bitter years. They are however valued for their strength, and the were-soldiers and commanders fight all the harder to prove their worth.

Anthros: A combination of animal and being, they are often an elegant blend of such creatures. Not very common, they are none-the less embedded in all social structures.

Deamons: A thankfully rare race that perpetrates itself along the norther reaches of the land or at the heart of the most hedonistic rituals.

Dragons: Ancient and rare, a venerated yet secretive race who prefer to operate being the scenes. The few who still live in Valghast are the wealthiest of its' citizens, as well as being the most loyal and powerful.

Orcs: Savage, violent and numerous. Thankfully the campaigns and wars perpetrated against them and by rival clans of their own kind have left them dis unified enough to so far pose no serious threat.

Elves: being older, and more atuned with the earth they are perhaps the most pyscic of the races, as well being able to boast a comparitivly broad elemental diversity. Immortal

Dragons: Some of the oldest creatures in this world are dragons, not known for being skilled in more than one element they are however peerless should one be an elemental dragon (fire, ice, wind, earth, life, death) Immortal

Anthros: Often persecuted for their unique phisiolodgy, their abilities have adapted to defence. Most being wolf or fox hybrids, they are reknowned scouts whose services are highly sought after by the legions. Extreme life span

Dwarves: Thought of a strictly an earth bent race this is not true. Dwarves have a limited affinity for all the elements, though they are strongest when it comes to metalurgy and stone. Extreme life span

Vampire: Blood magic, and necromancy are their halmark. A powerful Vampire lord can raise an army of undead warriors, or summon a legion of deamons to fight his wars. Immortal, though requires blood to be so

Crusnik: The most psycic of all the races. Any crusnik can communicate telepathically, as well as track someone through what is refered to as an aura trail. The older and more powerful ones are able to weild raw ethereal energy to deadly effect. Immortal

Humans: a hodge podge of assorted elementals. They are the most diverse of any of the races, spanning all forms and disciplines. Most are far weaker though than their older, immortal counterparts for the simple reason that the former has more time and patience to hone their skills. Mortal

Orcs: Their savage, war like nature does not lend well to the finese of the elemental arts, though they are quick adept at weilding raw lightning. This however is a thankfully rare trait. Mortal
