About the artist and why this picture was chosen for the daily picture:

This picture takes more than just a first glance. At just a first glance, it looks merely like some very nicely done wiring. But look in closer and you might see something a little more amazing than just that. This piece simply fascinated me. [DreamFusion] said that part of the reason she did this was because she likes to see what's not there, and that's exactly what has me so captivated by this piece. Better yet, this is a tatoo design! An aspiring tattoo artist in high school, [DreamFusion] was inspired by the body art of a man in a store and came out with this amazing design. It was created with a pencil and a Sharpie marker, and utilized a new technique in mechanics for her.
