About the artist and why this picture was chosen for the daily picture:
Perhaps I just have an affinity for the seedier side of things, but I was instantly drawn to this picture. The style is so alluring, fitting to the piece's theme, a psuedo-portrait of the most ruthless and feared bounty hunter, Caprol. Caprol is a character with a rich story, and, in this picture, he has arrived in the floating city of Sanction to find a man called Burgess Dragoslay, the so called Admiral of the Black, Pirate king and captian of "the Crow's Bones". The black-hearted inhabitants of Sanction (I'm assuming some are those in the background) know Caprol well and know to give him his space when he's about his business. This just touches the very tip of the world which [tankerman] works from, a small hint at the vast creativity and intrigue that may lie within. And it's truly amazing that he manages to recreate it so vividly in his art.
