About the artist and why this picture was chosen for the daily picture:

This pretty lass is the confection of two creators, actually, shaped by [Falx]'s words but whittled by [Bliz]'s artistry. When approached by [Falx] to check out some of her work on Elfwood, [Bliz] was particularly inspired by the story of Allana, a young vampire that still, amazingly, managed to maintain her innocence despite what she had become. [Scorpio] nominated this piece on the grounds of its excellent lines and colour, and I have to agree that the shades of purple compliment eachother excellently in this very pleasing picture. Another bit to notice absolutely has to be the feet, an element of the body almost bound to give us trouble. The way they peek out from the hem of Allana's dress, finally freed, it seems, is probably one of my favourite parts of the image. That, and those big bright eyes.
