Holy order help guide

back to the holy order

Character stats
---------------------
Every character has a different personality and different strengths and weaknesses. A character's stats can be viewed on the character statistics page. If you make your own character, make your own stats and give him or her a personality. Dont make them overly powerful or give them loads of magic energy though or abyss angel (wiki owner) will take over and make them up herself (muhuhaha)

P.P and what it means
---------------------------
P.P is a quick way of writing Physical power. Physical power is basically the character's physical strength when fighting enemies. It can be raised significantly when the character carries a weapon.

M.E and what it means
--------------------------
M.E and magic energy. Each character has a different amount. If a character had has a lot of P.P they are likely to have a low amount of m.w and vice-versa. To start with, most characters have around 50 m.e Each spell has an m.e cost. When you use m.e to cast a spell in battle, your will loose that amount of m.e, it can only be recovered with potions. Your m.e will return to normal after the battle is won or lost. The more magic you use, the more your m.e will grow. The m.e cost of a spell is equal to the damage it does.

Money
----------
The guild used gil to pay for things. Every character has a gil allowance of 1000 gil a week. Use your gil to pay for food, weapons and items etc. The amount of gil you have will be shown in the character stats. To earn more money, start your own business and add it to those at the bottom of the main page. You can sell your own stock and keep the money you make. You have to check with [abyss_angel] first though. We are also looking for owners for a number of the original shops as well!

Buying items and weapons
----------------------------
Items can be purchased at the little shop of horror. Items can be used in battle rather than around the holy order. They can replenish hit points and M.E etc. Any items you have bought will be displayed in your character's stats page. Weapons will also be displayed here. You can only carry one weapon at a time. Your P.P will be raised on the stats page depending on what weapon you carry.

Battling
-------------
You can practice magic and attacks in the order battle dome. If you die here, you will be revived immediately. You can fight against friends or a choose a beast from the menu. The beast can be played by anybody. Battling is turn based. When you use a physical attack, describe in detail what you have done. A basic attack always takes off the same amount of hit points but the nature of your attack is up to you.New attacks that do more damage can be learned at the order dojo.

How to fight
---------------
When you start a battle, it is important to let your opponent know your stats. Copy and paste your character's stats from the statistics page just before the battle begins. This keeps people from getting confused about how many items you have or what your p.p is etc. Now down to business. Every living creature has a certain amount of hit points. When fighting, the first to loose all hit points will die. Hit points can be regained by items or white magic. Theres the simple bit over..now to actual fighting.
Below is a basic attack would look like:

Griffon VS Ceres (the demon)

Basic attack! The griffon reared up on it's hind legs and swiped the demon with it's claws. -40hp

First, you name what you are about to do. Here is a list of names used for the various attacks you may do. Always end the name with an exclamation mark:

Basic attack!- is a normal physical attack

Ability (insert ability name here)!- is an a special attack learned at the order dojo. You can only use each attack you have learned once.

Magic attack (insert magic name here)! -is a magic attack

Item (insert name of item here) -is an item

A basic attack does damage equal to your current P.P. Next, you describe your attack however you want (make it interesting). Then you put how many hit points it took off it's opponent. Simple.
Fighting is turn based, so next it would be the other person's turn. Heres what Ceres turn might look like:

-40 hp (short for hit points), 100hp still remaining. Basic attack! Ceres took the full blow of the griffon's claws. She stepped forward and stabbed its chest whilst it was still reared up.-55hp

Ceres stated the amount of hit points the griffon's attack took off her, then stated how many she had left (keep a count). Next, she stated that she was about to do a basic attack and described it. Finally she finished off by stating her p.p (how much the attack took off the griffon's hit points.)
It's the same basic set up for using magic but with a few slight differences. For example:

-55hp, 300 still remaining. Magic attack weak ice spell! The griffon sat back on it's haunches and pointed a long bony finger at Ceres. Then it uttered a few words under it's breath. Shards of ice fell from the sky upon the girl. -30hp (griffon used 30 m.e, 50 still remaining)

Here, the griffon took the damage, then named the spell he wanted to use. Next, he described the spell (describe it however you wish), then stated the damage it did. After this, he stated in brackets how many m.e it took to cast the spell and how many he has left.

There! Thats the basic fight structure. I tried to make it clear but i probably failed. If you have a question, ask at the bottom the page.

Using items in battle
----------------------
When you buy an item, add it to the item list in your stats. You can only use items in battle. Using an item takes up your turn. You use one like this (im still using the ceres and griffon battle as an ongoing example -.-'):

-60hp, 40 still remaining. Item healing potion! Ceres took a healing potion from her pocket and drank it quick. +50hp, 110 remaining

Ceres stated that she was going to use an item, then described it. Last, she stated it's effect and how many hitpoints she now has.

Leveling up
---------------
The more battles you win, the more powerful you will become. At the end of a successful battle, you automatically get 10 extra h.p. For every spell you used in battle, you get 1 exta m.e to add to your total. You get 1 extra p.p for every basic attack you do. At the end of a battle, total up the amount of p.p and m.e you have earned and state it in some sort of battle summary, then add it to your stats.

A basic battle summary might look something like this:
Abyss won 4 extra p.p, 3 extra m.e and 10 h.p
