           An Córas Sósialta

Gach lá fheicim ionsaí píonóis
Á dhéanamh amuigh sa clós
Tá na páist ag marú a chéile
Mar go eiríonn siad bréan den saol seo

Caithfimíd críoch a chuir leis an doirteadh fola
Mar tá na daoine scéimhlithe ina mbeatha
Tá an bruidiúleacht fós ag fás
‘S táimíd go léir freagrach as

Níl againn ach
An íomhá foréigneach
A mbíonn ar an teilefíse
Arís ‘s arís

Is i dtús na haicíde is fusa í a leighis
Ach ní rabhamar réidh, caithfimíd íoc an phraghas
Tá daoine ag dul i muinín an foréigean
Chun iad féin a cosaint ón gealltacht forleathan

Chuirim an locht go háirithe ar na creidimhe
I’m thuarim, gan iad, beidh níos lú fadhbanna
Mar is iad an ceann is mó de na difríochtaí
A fheiceann daoine, ‘s is cúis leis na gearleanúintí

This next little gathering of rhymes is something I wrote shortly after some of my friends and I met God. That’s right, you read me… God! Read on, and attain enlightenment as to what it was that occurred that most Devine of evenings.

           The Devine Journey

Back in two thousand and four, eighteenth of September
Something happened to me I shall always remember
For you see I met the Lord, El Capatano that day
And I broke it down with him in a funky kind of way

Yeah me and the boys were just riding down the road
When we picked a fellow up, to ease him of his load
But little did we know that all that time
This was to be a journey Devine

Yes we brought him in, in from the cold
He dressed quite funky, but looked quite old
We spoke of art, of music and verse
And I do believe he saved us from the hearse

You see, because our good deed we suffered a delay
Something to our benefit, considering the later event’s ways
Because soon after the man bid farewell and hit the road
We saw a truck in the distance spill most of it’s load

I assume you see now why God I believe him to be
And not some random fellow who made good company
You see, without that delay we’d be six feet in the ground
We’d have hit that load and been heaven bound

So now every night before bed I pray
To say thank you lord for saving me that day
I’m going to turn my life around, going to go the extra mile
To insure your Devine intervention was worthwhile

    Mo Fadhb is Mó

Tá Cuma na marbh orm
Táim mallaithe ag anam
Táim in umar na haimléise
A gineann le fadhbanna eile

Tá rud éigin ag crá ‘s ag creimeadh mé
B’fhéidir galar tógálach nó marfach é
Nó géarchéim den croí nó an ceann
Nó mar go bhfuil grá comh gann

Cathigh mé éalú ó mo aigne
Mar go bhfuilim ag smaoineamh an iomarca
Is doigh go bhfuilim ró-leochaileach
Don domhan seo bréagach

Is iomaí cúise le mo stáit laithreach
Alán dóibh a mbeidh ann go fadtéarmach
Ní aon rud nach fheiceadh ar fud na cruinne
Nó a chuireadh mé I dtearmann

Táim gafa le alcóil ‘s drugaí
Comh maith le sin tá mná ‘s toitíní
Ach I ndeireah an lae, mo fhadhb ba mhó
Ná go bhfuilim fós beo

Let me just point out before you continue that I'm no poet, The below were all originally intended as lyrics.

           The American Dream

Crooked capitalism is taking over the entire world
Fat-ass McDonalds is killing all the boys and girls
While everyday Joes continue the everyday toil
The US government is stealing all the world’s oil

Imaginary weapons starting imaginary wars
The US marines were slaughtering innocent hordes
In less than a day they turned a country to rubble
Just so Bush’s oil company’s profits would double

The world it can’t be redeemed
It’s been destroyed for the American dream
For never-ending suburbia
The world’s been destroyed by America

American automobiles spew out green-house gases
While global warming is killing all our asses
All this emanates from one man one power
From the American government the whole world now cowers

After terrorising the world they gave bush a second chance
This time he’ll destroy us all without a second glance
He’s created himself a world controlled by fear
When the Americans start to die I shan’t shed a tear
