I was out grabbing a new pair of headphones earlier and as I was driving along, I saw someone following too close to the person in front of him. The person in front put on his/her brakes as they hit a patch of ice, the person behind slammed on his brakes and started sliding on the ice. He swerved left into oncoming lanes (thankfully no one was coming at the time) and then veered back to the right too hard and ended up turning way too far and flying across the other lane (and in front of me, by a few hundred feet) skipping across the curb and slamming into the rock wall past the sidewalk.
I stopped and put on my hazard lights and jumped out to see if they were OK. Thankfully they weren't injured. Their car was another story, the entire front end had crumpled a fair bit and (somehow) the rear bumper was almost completely torn off.

Most security experts REALLY believe in firewalls. They expect that, when they die, arrive at the great firewall in the sky where Saint Peter is running a default policy of REJECT.

This is what happens when my lego project pisses me off WAY too much. Enjoy!
Wow, rare occasion, journal entry!!
So for those of you who are uninformed, I've been looking hard for work for about a month solid and really even longer than that. No real success until today.
In a matter of about 48 hours, I've gotten all of the paperwork and everything set up so that I can be a courier. Moreso, I'll be working on a contract basis, so I don't have to pay quite as much in taxes and whatnot, as well as having the freedom to work or not work as I need (like with friends visiting or going to Maui).
So now I'll be spending about 8 hours a day in my car driving all over 2 or 3 counties and making hopefully some pretty good money. And I'll get to know my way around another 7 or 8 cities too, which will be handy! Hopefully if I can start getting 15-20 jobs a day I should be able to make over $100 a day, which would be awesome. Of course, I have to pay for my own gas and insurance... but it'll be a write-off at least.
So that's about the sum total of anything interesting going on with me... and now you know!
Very interesting day today... I spent over six and a half hours at the hair school nearby... still not quite done.
I wanted to color my hair purple with blue tips, not extremely hard right? It was for me...
I went in at 12:30 today and sat down right away... started off having the instructor recommend not to bleach my hair and just put color in. So we did... and that was very dark and the blue was really blue-black.
So then we bleached my hair out (some) and tried again... the instructor decided that the color needed pigment to "bond to" and mixed in brown... so that didn't really turn out very well either... at least not what I wanted (mind you, each time it did look kinda cool in it's own way)
So then after talking to a bunch of different students there, we came to the conclusion that I should go out and buy something to put in my hair so it would be nice and vibrant... But, I needed to have very very blond hair for it to look right.
Bleached my hair again, this time much more thoroughly... but, since it was the second time that day, my scalp started to burn so we had to wash it out...
I got my hair cut and styled, then I was out of there... at 7:10 or so... yikes!
But, I was very patient the whole time and everyone was really nice to me... I ended up have two different stylists/stude
Phew! What an ordeal
So you know that moment, right when you've been caught doing something you shouldn't have? The adrenaline rush... the thoughts of consequences..
Thankfully... this tale does not involve the cops or being pulled over *phew*
So my PA (Peer Advisor) on my dorm floor got this insane flashlight at costco... 10 million candle power... that's BRIGHT, you don't want that shined in your eyes even if you're 100+ feet away
Well, being a bunch of guys, we decided to shine the light on the dorm farthest away (almost a quarter of a mile) and we lit the building up. I hadn't been with the guys the last two nights, but this was in fact the third night that someone had been shining this light on the building at about 2am!
Our biggest mistake was to stick around... we stayed there for 20 or more minutes, which spelled doom for the few of us left. A couple of guys from the campus safety and security office came up and asked us to hand over the light. Apparantly they got over 50 calls about us waking people up! OOPS!!
We had to wait around for the Assistant Director of Residence Life to show up... he lectured us for a few minutes about how we should learn a lesson from this...
I think our saving grace was that some of the guys in the other building were playing "morse code" with us too... Which the security guys saw
All in all, the end of the consequences will be a little mark on our records and a talking to... that's it! *grins* Ah, the joys of college
