Apparently coffee can make you see things that aren't there and that people are out to get you:

That coffee is stressing should come to no surprise to anyone.

Blärgh!

Hangover and my camera got broken yesterday. The lens is stuck and there seems to be no tricks that work to get it moving again. <img:stuff/mood9-gif.gif>

I've implemented keyword ads on exported wiki-pages (you'll only see them on the exported version of wiki-pages). I have no idea how annoying or helpful it will be, and it will take about 24 hours before it starts to work.

If anyone wants to try it on your site, send me your business email and I'll send you an invitation, and I might get some bonus.

Stargate

Seems like they "leaked" the next episode of Stargate Atlantis. I just watched Stargate.Atlantis.S05E19.Vegas.PreAir.avi and can clearly see why it was leaked. My jaw dropped and I don't know if I can find it.

It's a really good episode even if you spend most of it thinking "WTF?!?" and don't get anything. I'm quite sure they leaked this to get the buzz, so here it is, and thank you for the leak! <img:stuff/zabuN-gif.gif>

Merry Yule and stuff to everyone!

I'm too lazy to make any greetings this year. Maybe something for the new year instead.

So you want to know how the new "Upload image" button at textareas work? No? Then read something else then! <img:stuff/zabuN-gif.gif>

Javascript isn't allowed to access the files on your computer, not even the ones that you have selected as files to upload! So therefore I have to use an invisible iframe and then use a normal file-upload to that. Eventually the upload is done, and then in the invisible iframe some javascript is returned and that javascript-code calls the javascript-code on the visible page and writes the code and the text that it uploaded. Thanks to http://www.ajaxf1.com/tutorial/ajax-file-upload-tutorial.html for that!

Then it's of course not that simple. The form is created by a Pike-generated javascript-code, but thanks to the iframe the form didn't have to be javascript itself, so then it became less confusing. Then I should have learnt to not use innerHTML instead of value when dealing with textareas, and not to put forms inside of forms. I want to move the Upload Image buttons in the wiki, but moving that with CSS from outside of the first form-tag into it visually demands some heavy thinking.

Wisdoms of life

It seems like the more successful something is, the more complains about it there are. Just a few example of the things people complain the most about in different sectors: MySQL and Oracle (Database engines with all sort of problems), Dell, the iPhone (Locked down to a brick and not open), Facebook's new design (About as much as Elftown's new update in complains and way more in privacy stuff constantly), Window's at its peak, and so on.

I mean: Who is complaining about Blue-Ray disks, George W Bush, Vista, PostgreSQL, MySpace or the violence in the old fairy-tales nowadays? OK, people do complain about Vista a lot but it's also giving Microsoft a great revenue despite being worse than XP, so maybe it's a success.

The conclusion is that I should from now on measure my success in how many complains I get!

I'm not getting anything done! I don't know where to start... And I'm about to get a cold. I hope I can avoid that. Now I've slept all day (and all night before that) so at least I'm very rested.

Then it's the stuff with yule and traveling to my parents. I should get some presents except books... I'm thinking about those mugs with printed images on them that I saw in the Elftown mall, but they got mugs before before and father only uses cups. I'm quite out of money so it has to be something cheap and it isn't like my parents actually need something.

"Savage 2: A Tortured Soul is a fantasy and
science-fiction themed computer game that combines elements of the
first-person shooter, real-time strategy, and action role-playing game
genres."
And it's free for downloading now. Anyone knows if it's worth downloading?

I've heard that about the only reason to use Deviantart is because of their printing services... I just found a bunch of Printing Services I can link to (And get paid for it <img:stuff/$-sign-gif.gif>) so I'll add them shortly. So far I'm only accepted to a Dutch and a British one though.

Then I just have to figure out where to put the links... On the upload pages for once, I guess.

Now the network is working again. It was just my ISP who had lost most of the world.

*sigh*

Something is seriously broken on the Internet. I can't reach anything outside of Sweden-Finnland-Lettland, not even Denmark. A few people from the USA seems to reach Elftown though, but most can't.

There was an earth quake in the south of the north Atlantic, but I doubt that has anything to do with it. It's probably just my ISP who has messed up badly again.

I've just finished the new smiley faces for the review function, so I have to try it. And it's a good camera.
