We have a show tomorrow! Yay us.
This is the first poem we are happy with for a long time:
To everything that never works,
- to lives that only partly end,
Neverness screams her one answer,
as expectations come to fill
our futures with entertainment
barring the way to a fickler End
(& other cheap tricks of the trade
for getting one's name in the press,
in the columns of nay-sayers,
in between two advertisements):
EVERYONE IS A STATISTIC.
More & Now caught in Her web,
stunted Progress prowls about
& reaches up to pry them out
but Neverness is on Her guards
& shatters both these weary shells:
lo! I became a death unto myself
when in that picturesque moment
Faith & Reason likewise failed,
lo! I became a death unto myself
when even as I breathed, air had
become irrelevant.
To everyone who never works
- to lives only partly begun,
Neverness has a way with words,
with long & short & nasty ones.
I've strung them up: thus far I found
how little there goes into sound
that means to mend & not to wound.
To everyone who speaks or searches
I bequeath these words in earnest,
let them find you in your emptiness:
EVERYTHING IS NOT A DREAM.
& sitting here, a mute witness
of passing hours here I fret about
this never-ending Wednesday,
I'm only coming through in phases
but Neverness is on the way.

In other news, our cousin still hasn't restored our server access, & we are rather distressed.
We, HaMekashef, are very much looking forward to the restoration of our cousin's server, for currently our web-home is destroyed. We have much to post on there.
HaMekashef's world has been cleansed by poisonous air. The house is habitable again, & there is much catching up to do. We apologize for the inconvenience.

MKShF weeps for Albion.
Toronto, on the other hand, was suicide-bomber free while we visited, & MKShF is grateful for that. Books were bought - including the Koran - interesting jewelry was found, & much good food was consumed in a pleasant atmosphere. Emperor Yirmiyahu will make an exceedingly good dictator.
Thanks to Sam & the Green Midget (also known as [Ilana]) for keeping MKShF safe, mostly from himself if not from others.
MKShF now owns two coloured shirts. Will MKShF manage to survive such cheerfulness? Stay tuned.
Or not. Days of Our Lives is probably more exciting.

This is partly right, we suppose, only we don't have that much breast, for the obvious reason that MKShF is male.
The Father has left for Tanzania. The Mother found a dead blackbird in the backyard. We hope it is not West Nile Virus infected. We are thinking about that mosquito bite, and being quite a bit paranoid.
Little by little, MKShF is piecing together the monument that [Ilana] made.
MKShF got his first mosquito bite of the season. Walking on stilts with arms uncovered is not the most strategic way of coping with insect wildlife.
(Oy).
MKShF is really enjoying this online community. We think it is full of interesting people, and look forward to contributing more significantly in the near future.
Today MKShF wasted nearly two hours of his earthly sojourn, watching a full-lenght feature starring SpongeBob Squarepants.
Yes, the MKShF is just as perplexed by this piece of information as anybody else might be.

Practice with The Doppelganger Effekt was excellent today; the band is obviously doing some outstanding progress, and the singer (MKShF) is eternally grateful to everyone involved.

Today we practiced with the rest of the good people of Doppelgänger Effekt. It was very pleasant, although not particularly productive. The Effekt might very well be coming with some of its most interesting stuff yet, but today was a little quiet.
Mekashef is consistently, increasingly & infinitely grateful to his fellow band members for their continuous & sustained interest.
She wrote a song about me, & she has good taste in familiars.
On May 17th, Day of the Brother, MKShF wrote his first guitar composition. It is about four measures long. We don't think it's really good, but we like to try new things.
Today (or yesterday, depending on the time zone you're in) We started a wiki on Occult topics, The Occult Corner . It is a work in progress - We hope you will enjoy it.
Friday the 13th, it turns out, was a particularly auspicious day.
Today MKShF received his first message from a complete Elftown stranger. Interesting, I suppose.
Today is Friday the 13th.
Fortunately MKShF is only superstitious on Wednesdays.
MKShF has now extended his circle of Elftown friends to include many remarkable people. O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
