Limerick #1 Restless
There was a girl who couldn't sleep
Instead she lay awake and creep
Facebook drove her crazy
and also made her lazy
But she could not resist a peep.
" Go ask Alice" by Anonymous
I have just started getting into all the youth drug related books that my friends enjoyed years ago, and that have been sitting on my shelf for just as long. I started with Go ask alice, and I guess maybe i expected more from it. It seemed like pure propaganda, The course she follows through the drugs has its true moments and then it also have things that i found far fetched. Such as being drug well baby sitting, over dosing on acid and ending up in an asylum. I feel for her struggle to get out of the "scene" and i did enjoy that though there was peer pressure, that book did make the point that personal pressure was also a factor. A friend told me years ago that this book/dairy ( as it is written in diary entry format) was forged by the father of the girl involved. I am a believer of this conspiracy as that some of the youthfulness was present, it seemed greatly edited and altered to prove the point that all drugs are bad, and even if you do them once you can end up homeless, in an asylum, and inevitable dead.
