Yay! I thought my midterm was today, and wonder of wonders! it's next monday! :D Happiness!
okay, so yeah, I have a serious huge amount of Latin to study for my exam on Friday, and a serious need for a job, and lots of reading for French History. Do I do it? Of course not! I sit in my room for five hours writing my own fantasy stories, and reading Harry Potter! Oh, yes, all of my academic discipline (and I had a lot of it as recently as last year, all of six AP classes and a play and a zillion other things, yes, I had NO life!) has all gone straight down the drain!
On the bright side, i'm still acing my classes. Surprising, not really! okay, i'm done.
"They say go not to the Elves for counsel, for they will say both no and yes."
FOTR, p. 83
wow, it's been a while. I have been pretty busy, both with just lots of stuff to do and with stressing out over needing a job! Yes, i am poor, and unemployed. grrrr.
But hey! life it still good.
i think i got all my pent up sketches out of my system which is good because now I can finish playing catch up in my classes. Yay!
Last weekend I went to SPU and sent to one really cool lecture on the Lord of the Rings, got interviewd by the school newspaper, and meet John Rhys-Davis!!! (for those of you not way up on LOTR he plays the dwarf Gimli, and he's really just over six feet tall!) yeah1!! as soon as I have pics i'll upload them for all to marvel at!
God Bless!
Aah, I have a Latin exam in half and hour and I haven't studyied...muc
Thanks the Muse! and then praise God for sending him to me. Oh, I'm not sure how everyone else will like my new pic, but I think it's wonderful, and I was so fun to do! Go on, go look again! And PLEASE, tell me what you thinkg!
oh, I feel bad. No verse for today. well, let's see. Okay, here's part of a Psalm. What I really love about it is the song that is taken from it, but here's my favorite part.
Psalm 42:5-6
"Why are you so downcast, O my soul?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise Him,
my Savior and my God."
This is so great because the writter (we're not told It's David, so I won't assume) feels so incredibly sad and lost but he finds encouragment in the very thought of God. God's love is such that even when we're so depreesed and despairing of the world, just the thought of Him and His sacrifice will give us hope. It is so very true. In all my limited experience, no matter how bad my day/week/whate

Laureanna
This is a verse that I just read this morning. it's from REvelation 7:15-17. Not only does it ring with poetry towards the end, but it shows the awesome fate in store for us.
"They are before the throne of God
and serve Him day and night in His temple;
and He who sits on the throne will pread his tent over them.
Never again will they hunger;
never agin will hey thirst.
The sun will not beat upon them,
not any scorching heat
For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd;
He will lead them to springs of living water.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
Okay, some people might not like this, but I figure, if they don't, they can just not read my diary! hey, imagine that. So, I'm going to attempt to post a daily bible Verse online. Why put this on a fantasy page? Because my religion inspires me. I have no idea why my religion inspires me to draw elves and faeries and dragons, but it does. And then you all get to know me a little better, which is the whole idea right?
so, for starters this i my favorite verse in the entire bible: written by the prophet Isaiah, who also wrote the most well known prophecies of the Messiah, Isaiah 40:31.
"but those that hope in the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not grow weary, they shal walk and not be faint."
I think most people in the fantasy world can relate to longing for wings. How cool would it be to spread your mighty pinions and plunge off a mountaintop and soar "on the winds back." It's such an amazing promise.

Come Thou Fount of every Blessing
Tune my heart to sing thy praise.
Streams of mercy never ceasing
call for Songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise His name, I'm fixed upon it,
Name of God's redemming love.
Hither to, thy love has blest me.
Thou hast brought me to this place.
And I hope thy hand will lead me
safely home by thy good grace.
Jesus sought me when a stanger
wandring from the fold of God
He to rescue me from danger
Bought me with His precious blood.
Oh, to Grace how great a debtor
Daily I'm constrained to be.
Let thy goodness, like a fetter
Bind my wandering heart to thee.
Prone to wander, Lord I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I Love.
Here's my heart, Lord, Take and Seal it.
Seal it for thy courts above.
this is my favoite hymn, though I usually sing a rather upbeat arrangment. It has been running around my head since church this morning. Those are always great days, when you have a wonderful song in your head.
God Bless!
why am I here? I have so much Latin homework, I should just lock my computer up in a safe to keep me away from it. oh, well. It'll get done somehow.
I love Five Iron Frenzy!!! Go Christian Sca!
"rain falls like laughter from the sky." favorite song!
Life is so wonderful. I had just a really awesome day yesterday. Met some amazing new people, had fun in my classes, spent time with lots of cool friends, actually joined the archery club, read a good book. oh, and then I had a very long and amazing talk with one of my long time best friends. I love you, Yoda! not that he's going to read this or anything. hehe.
yes, God is good, and life is fun.
Spread the joy, peps!
God Bless!
Snow is fun.
Rain is wet, and often dismal.
Slush, is the bane of mankind!!!
Yes, the wonderful snow that was here yesterday, has turned to slush, so sad. Worst of all, it made me late for Latin! grrrr.
This is indeed one of those sad days in which I wish to God that I was truly an Elf, and could not only walk on top of the snow, but also that I couldn't feel cold. As it is, I'm glad for coats and gloves. I need to go do my reem of Latin homework so I can work on Terramorn some more.
God Bless!
or, as we say in Gondolin, i Chir hebin a galu pan!
