Am contemplating sticking it on a piece of paper and putting it up at the uni. Probably will. Heee. I'm on the track to missing both of my lectures today (hooray for apathy days) but this makes me a little bit happier about things. :3

I just realised - even though I occasionally moan about the annoying sides to my job as a Daily Poem Boss, and how the position keeps me from submitting my own work, I'll probably not even take any trainees under my wing any time soon. I actually like being in charge, and, despite everything, I really do love the job. I'm afraid I'm a permanent fixture there. Perhaps time will change things, as it so often does. For now, though: I am the mistress. Har har har. It just means I'm going to have to figure out other ways to get people to read my poetry.

I'm writing too little nowadays. Solution: From now on, I'll attempt to write something daily, even if it's only a haiku. A bit like my April challenge from two years back (keep the doctor away!) but much more extensive. With any luck, I'll be writing every day for the rest of the year.

The universe is laughing at me, I'm sure of it.

Hormones suck, and there's not much to do except surrender and go for the ride. I'm aware the risk is always high that I get burned, especially factoring in my track record; that doesn't make it any less dispiriting when it happens.

He's cute, and long-haired, and has dimples and a heavy metal guy kind of style. I had, despite my attempts at discouraging myself from getting any hopes up, entertained the notion that he might in fact have been watching me first. Fool me. His left ring finger glinted at me mockingly in class today.

NOT FUCKING AMUSED.

So, next order of business? Bludgeon feelings of infatuation into something resembling submission, move him into the category 'just eye candy' and see if I can't still make a friend outta him.

Sigh.

It has already been pointed out to me that the ring in question could simply be something 'fashionable' but I ain't holding my breath. As of now, unless something happens to indicate otherwise, he's counted as off the market in my mind.
