Dawn creeps in on a late March day
sending rays of warmth to waking souls and
should it make you smile so much,
stretch and purr in the morning sun
as the spring light flows through your veins—
yes, you can float this way
and though it is yet cold the earth
with the ever brightening air will tell you:
The temperate winds, the budding blooms of April
are soon to be here.
My current Translation assignment deals with apocalypse and the Bible... meh. I'd have no problem with that otherwise, but it references a passage - apparently Genesis 1:5 - and I'm having trouble deciding how to translate it. Lah. *goes ponder over the text*

There was a distinct lack of Sylvia Plath's work in the uni library. I saw The Bell Jar at some point, but now even that was missing... This vexes me. *searches database* Yeaaaaah. Very few copies of her books, and they're all checked out. Sob.

I'm starting a diary feature. From now on, I will make a Word of the Day post every evening. I hope it will be of some use, whether that be entertaining or educating. They will be picked mostly at random, and will be in the form of a Dictionary.com link. Now, with no further ado...

So. I already enquired on the contest pages, but I've gained at least a couple of new stalkers since the original ones were held... Would people be interested in repeats of the Bird Photography Contest and the Pick a Prompt Contest?
Sweet serendipity
to find on your path
such strong conviction,
unwavering faith;
although paper-thin
this veneer, your one
beloved illusion of truth
is the heart of the enigma:
You, immersed
in your epic quests
holding steady
against so many nefarious plots
to take this reality away.
The chemist from room 3 moved out today. I don't blame her, living in a single flat is probably much nicer. I do mourn the fact that we (the remaining two occupants) no longer have a microwave oven or a shower curtain. Sure, we can live without those for a couple of days... okay, I can live without those for a couple of days. The other one goes home every weekend, the lucky bastard. But perhaps she can at least acquire a shower curtain for us.
*cringes* I added a person on Facebook who I thought might've been him, and sent a message. Apparently was someone else entirely. Fucking embarrassed now...
It was silly anyways. *goes find a wall to bash her head against*
