So totally procrastinating. Which brings to mind, you should all read [Triola]'s A Procrastination Fairytale. It is made of brilliance.

Now, to the real business of this diary. I'd like to write, but I lack inspiration. This vexes me. So I want prompts. Pretty please?

Blurry and grainy as all hell (I had no time for the subtleties of camera use) but it's something, anyway.

Tonight, I witnessed Aurora Borealis for the first time in my life. It was beautiful. Oh, nature, how I heart thee. ♥

An Ode to February

Winter has breathed upon me its silence;
frost-garbed trees shared their sleepy sighs
of yearning for a warmer breeze.
Swathed in wool, lost in cloudless azure,
I watch as crystals spark and glint
in the pale morning sun; marvel
at banks of finest powder snow
yet to be disturbed.
Crisp, biting, the air stings my cheek
and steals away my breath
until only gasps are left.
February has no mercy for the wearied soul
yet still offers a fleeting glimpse
of unrivalled beauty
in a myriad frozen flowers.

Tomorrow is my 8th Elftown birthday. :)

I chatted for about two minutes with my cousin's younger daughter on FB and that was enough to make me miss her. To miss all of them, really. But she's always been my favourite. One shouldn't say things like that, I know. But she's the gentle one with the artistic soul, so I really relate to her. :)
