I saw people dancing with poi for the first time in my life :O
RESPECT.
"It's like being a porceline store with the self-esteems of you people, have to be really careful not to break anything by accident."
- Jukka on me and some others
It stings, but the truth always does. We get on his nerves like he gets on ours. xP
Stolen from the diary of [Chrysilla], who got it from a forum:
Za new English
The European Commission has just announced an agreement, whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.
As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English"
In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.
The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.
There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.
In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.
Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.
By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".
During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensibl riten styl.
Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.
Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.
Obsession reaching its tendrils to yet another aspect of my life. I'm currently pondering whether to organise my beads by colour, size, or type... And let me tell you, there are lots of them.
This is going to take me the whole evening. xD
edit: And about three hours later, I'm done. *snore*
Made another ring and learned a bit more.
It came out really pretty, I used a rose quartz for it and it looks good overall... only thing is, it's damn small. Barely fits on my pinky finger. So it's either for a child, or simply someone with small hands. <_<
Oh well. Practice makes perfect etc. :P
Will post a picture tomorrow.
edit:
Made my first two rings ever :D
Was inspired upon leafing through a jewellery instruction book in a bookstore, memorised the method, hit the craft shop... and here you see what I accomplished.
Gold plated wire (0.8mm), glass beads, plastic beads.
In the pictures I'm fitting them on my left ring finger, the brown one being a bit loose. Anyone wanna buy the blue one? (The brown one I'm keeping as an example of what's good and what's not) :P
I think I really should clean up more often. Nothing quite hits the point home like spending roughly an hour of one's life cleaning the wheels of one's chair, tugging out years' worth of fallen hair along with a whole lot of small dust clouds. With nose pliers.
Yup. Lesson learned. I should hope.
Went to attempt blood donation. Attempt being the operative word here, as my hemoglobine level was just an itty bit too low - automatically three months more to the next try. Kthxbye, gotta remember to pop those iron pills more often.
Well, at least I know my blood type now. B+ apparently. I would have liked to be O - much more useful - but s'okay. I finally get to mark it down on my tissue donor card thingy, which I've only had for, oh, over four years now...
It's weird how your blood type is never marked down on any medical records that you get to keep for yourself. And even if we did do a self-test back in ninth grade biology, it was of no use to me. Bah at poor blood circulation.
You know that annoyance of recalling a really good book you want to read again, but not its title or author? Well, I'm currently having that, except with a fanfic. I can't remember its title, its author, or where I found it - so I can't backtrack my steps either. I only remember the pairing and generally what the fic was about. For this, I need stronger Google Fu than my own. Bah.
Oh well, maybe I'll just wait for it to pop up somewhere. I'm fairly certain it was on FF.net... maybe.
edit: Nevermind, I found it by googling after all xD
It's probably going to be an eternal dilemma for me, whether to love Jukka - or loathe him from the bottom of my heart. He's so fucking infuriating sometimes that it makes me want to beat him up and rip him to pieces. Never mind that he's now an ex, he's still a close friend and gods do I hate him every now and then. And get reminded of why exactly he is an ex...
I've really let myself into a crappy shape. Rode back home the meager two or three kilometres from the anime evening, and my breathing squeaked.
Well. That's what you get for neglecting medication. Again. Gods, when will I learn? xD
My two cents for the Hate Project. http://the-hat
Nicked off le Squee, who stole it from [Tingis]. Also fixed spelling.

I think I might need to work on self-restraint some more. I like to think I made an honourable effort in Dutchieland, but... Yeah. Today, when I was (theoretically) supposed to be getting supplies for [Iuna]'s Portfolio Contest prize, I ended up buying a collection of jewellery instruction cards instead. Sigh.
Oh well, Friday is payday. Until then, I can just do some planning.
While I try to gather motivation to actually start jogging and stuff, I've found a foolproof form of exercise.
Dancing at 2 a.m. to anime music in your dark bedroom with nothing but panties and maybe a morning robe on is good fun, and I do believe also beneficial. Aside from the fact that it is, eh, rather late. But nothing stops me from doing it in the morning, either. :P
Wheeeeeeeeee.
