Is it just me, or is the Coventry City Council a bit (=really really) stupid?

They built a high and mighty city plaza ("Phoenix Initiative") -thinger on lottery money, then a bit later they built a road through it. Lottery reckoned "that's not in the blueprint we funded - give us our money back!" Instead, Cov said "how about we don't give you the money, but we spend it on something else on the plaza" and apparently Lottery said ok ¬_¬ So they're suggesting either a statue, plants or "storyboards about the phoenix initiative". Bored now? Me too. A reasonable suggestion I heard was to flatten the ground of the plaza (there is a on-the-floor clock that looks like the time zones, so the entire flat area of the plaza is not that flat) and if they'd sink the clock, people could actually hold events in that space.

Another thing: They want to demolish Cygnet Court, which is specifically adapted flats for disabled people, and build a "city college" in its place. They've promised the residents to build the flats exactly as they are on a nearby, smaller lot. Now excuse me but how can you fit them on a smaller area while keeping them exactly the same? Answer: you can't. You'll get smaller parking spaces (handy for the disabled, dontcha think?) and smaller garden, and very likely smaller apartments too. Now could be just me, but hello?!?!!?!??! Build your damn city college on that other lot and leave people's homes alone! First they'll throw money away by building these new flats, then by demolishing the old one and hen building the new thing, when they could do with just building one new thing. And that would allow these people in their homes without the hassle of moving and changing address and what not.

Ah well, my home town in Finland has no smarter planning/building things either. They went "ok, we'll build a new school for children, and a new upper secondary school for students (about 16-19). We have two spaces: one on the quieter area of town, a bit on the side you know, near the technical school, near the city pools. We have this other lot between the humongous city library and "autogrill" (a fast-food kiosk), next to a really busy road." School children are not allowed to leave school premises during the day, and they have to eat school meals at school (that's why their mommies and daddies pay taxes for). Upper secondary school students often have hours of no class in the middle of the day, sometimes classes til 4 (school meal's at 12) and homework they actually might need library facilities for. Knowing all this, which school would you place where? That is correct, the city council placed the upper secondary school next to the tech school, and the kids' school by the library. Admirable, I must admit. Admirable to see so little common sense used in city planning. *heavy sigh*

Most hateable thing about having a cold and needing to blow your nose all the time: Your nose gets sore after all the tissue-rubbing and stuff, and other people stare at your weirdly when you put chapstick/lipbalm/vaseline on your nose to make it less sore (just like you'd do with sore lips). :(

I'm really fucking pissed off with Bethlem and RyanAir.com. And my fucking lumbago isn't helping either.
*wants to rant and rave and scream and shout and then cry, but can't because has no internet-access in home, so has to resort in burning-inside, icy Finnish moody sulking*

Why I hate RyanAir all of the sudden? Because of their new fucking baggage policy:
http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/notices.php?notice=060316-baggage_EN
So any bag that is to be checked in, is subject to a fee! Admittedly, they now allow 20 kg (used to be 15), but 5 kg plus does not justify this bullshit. In other airlines the luggage is included in the price of the ticket: my first flight to England was me + 35kg in total for the same price. RyanAir is cheaper and used to be me + 25 kg in total. Now it seems that they add 5kg, when in fact they deduct 15, because anything than hand luggage (10kg) has to "pay for its own ticket." *is so fucking pissed off*

Vote for the best plushie poll.

I have also come to the conclusion that if I could have any superpower at all, I'd have "X-ray vision" (y'know not proper X-Rays like medical ones, but like Superman has so he can see through things). Not only would that make arty references a thousand times easier (no need to Google: just look around) but also I'm curious in a passive way. I want to see what people do without them seeing me, but I wouldn't do anything about it, just look. o.O

Today I scanned in a picture, smoothened it out in PhotoShop, copied from it little pieces which I then pasted as separate layers (still on Photoshop) on their correct places, copied those separate little pieces from those separate PhotoShop-layers into Flash library, assigned those library-graphics into movie-clips as intances, fucked around in Flash trying to put instances of the movieclips into my scene, found out that against all my calculations, my movieclip graphics were too large, went back to the original Photoshop-file to find out that some pixels had indeed been copied twice, had to go through all the image in Photoshop and erase duplicated pixels, and in the end I erased all the faulty graphics from Flash... At that moment, when I confirmed the deletion of 64 graphic-files, I lost my mind.

>.<

I... hate... I don't even know what I hate. There's nothing to blame on this fuck up except me. I should have cut instead of copied, that way no pixel that was copied before, would have been available for cutting for the next one, and no duplication would have happened.

If I would be someone else, I'd kill myself for the sheer stupidity.

And what about the goths who are like that? They are being generalised. Boo!

Another one of these "post this if..." -things. If a girl posts it, it's "I want a guy who's like this" and if a guy it should be "I'd do this":

While I hold your hand, I'll play with your fingers.
Tickle you & make you laugh.
Kiss you.
And not only kiss you on the lips, but kiss you on the cheek and forehead too.
Hold you by the waist.
Hug you while I'm behind you and rest my head on your shoulder.
Whisper I love you in your ear.
Tell you you're beautiful.
Look you in the eyes and smile when I'm thinking.
Tell you I never want to let you go.

What I don't understand why these emo-girls think they're such precious princesses that guys should treat them this way if she doesn't treat him the same. I'm fairly sure that a guy would enjoy this stuff just as much (mine does). And remember the saying "what you give is what you get"...? Maybe I'm getting close to a scientific discovery to WHY emos are always so depressed: the girl-emos expect a guy to treat them like a princess, (while she's probably behaving like a stuck-up little princess herself); and guy-emos don't treat the princess right because he isn't getting any similar treatment back.
o.O

Ehm, God is omnipotent, yes? So He doesn't need anyone to stand up for Him, he can fight for Himself, I should think so. He can smite His enemies on His own ways like drown the lot of them in a huge flood, or send locusts and frogs and killing their kettle and then all their first-born sons...

Just a strange thought that occurred to me, not to be taken seriously.

I stopped my exporting diary -experiment because I prefer to have me exported and I don't really care passionately enough about it to keep it up. But I wasn't convinced thatthe diary-link would become a broken link even if exporting is stopped (like the house does immediately). New stuff may not be found in Google but the link straight to the diary seems to remain.
