Sorry guys, I just have gotten diary-active again. <_<

http://www.deletedyoutube.ftvteen.com/?v=agK2uZBNbnU

One of the coolest things I've seen in a while.
(But then again, I haven't seen Fonzie in a while... *misses*)

Addment:

46 years ago today, man left the face of the Earth for the first time: April 12th, 1961, Yuri Gagarin, space craft Vostok.

*sees Google*
Dang, I did not read it from there, I read it in the paper. :/
Anyway, I'll sing to him today.

A song by Miljoonasade - Lapsuuden sankarille (To the childhood hero)

Miltä tähdet tuoksuu (what do the stars smell like?)
Entä luinen kuu (Or the bony moon?)
Soiko maapallon liikkeessä fuuga hiljainen (Is there a quiet fuga playing in the movement of the Earth?)
Miltä Afrikka näyttää (What does Africa look like?)
Heiluuko Suomen lanteet (Do Finland's hips swing?)
Vai onko tänne pilvet pesineet (Or is it a nest of clouds?)

Lennä Juri Gagarin (Fly, Yuri Gagarin, Fly)
Lennä Juri Gagarin
Tule elävänä takaisin (Come back alive)
Lennä Juri Gagarin
Lennä Juri Gagarin
Tule elävänä takaisin

And one last random quote:
-But we don't arrest people for being creepy.
-(into the walky-talky) hey George, you know the guy in cell 3?
-(from the walky talky) The creepy one?
-Yeah, let him go.

I was reading an interview of Ron Perelman (Hellboy) the other day, and he is so awesome. That makes me happy.

Something that doesn't make me happy:
Have you ever been working on a project, and thought "yes, I know there is one more thing I need to do, but since it's fairly easy, I can do it whenever" and then pushed it back and didn't do it until much later? And then the thing didn't turn out to be quite as simple or easy to do?
(Yes, this is another ActionScript story. Don't hate me for being emo over it, hate [Exapno Mapcase] instead.)
Well. You remember I sorted my stupid script-problem and was all like "whee parr-tae!" back then, yes? What I didn't mention that there is still one thing of my project to do in AS. I need to communicate the abstracts that the buttons/machines represent to the user without being crass about it. So I'll have a bunch of definitions for each abstract, that will show to the reader one at a time randomly in a corner of the stage when they hover the mouse over the button. Sounds easy, yes? Randomness is the thing that Flash is most useful for and the reason I'm so attracted to ActionScript and Flash. Well. I've been breaking down that statement of what I need to do, and it turns out I need to make 13 randomosity-codes (one for each button), each code placed in a movieclip (another 13), which are all stacked invisibly on top of each other on the main stage. Each of those 13 movieclips has the different definitions of their respective abstracts in their own movieclips (4 or more each), stacked invisibly on top of each other. And I need to add a code to each button (13) that says "when they hover, do this". Oh and have I mentioned that I hate invisible stacking?

I need lunch now.

It's the "link to a Daily Mail article -day!

I decided to go for this sorrowful story obviously because of the sob-factor. I want you all to weep as uncontrollably as I did when I read the news.
A moment of silence, if you please.

This is the it that it is all about:

In the twentieth century we have made a successful transition from the sooty iron surfaces of the industrial revolution to the liquid smooth surfaces of computer graphics. On our computer monitors we may be just beginning to see a reflective surface that looks increasingly like a mirror. In the virtual world that exists on the other side of the mirror's surface we can just barely make out the form of a body that looks like us, like another self. Like Narcissus looking into the pond, we are captured by the experience of this reflection of our bodies. But that reflected body looks increasingly like a cyborg.

http://jcmc.indiana.edu/vol3/issue2/biocca2.html

Yet I do not wish to see a better me, a cyborg behind that reflective surface. I want to see the sooty iron surface. I don't only want to see it there, I want to put it there.

I was not aware of the fact that Ron Perelman not only played/plays Hellboy in the recent movie-versions but the he was/is the voice of Hellboy in the original animated movies. In fact before today I wasn't even aware that there were animated Hellboy movies. I've just watched Sword of Storms, and it rules and I am currently drawing some Hellboy fanart in MS Paint.

So to recap:
-Hellboy is awesome
-Ron Perelman is my new favourite everything
-I still feel a bit sick -_-; (this has nothing to do with Hellboy, it's just my whatever that's acting up)
-I seem to have a link in my wikicomments to elftown freak show XD We should make that wiki some day. :P

Quoth someone complaining to the guards:
"that member was banned just for argueing about a scientifical picture that was taken of a solar flare, which was ment for the purpose of others to use and look at.. now true he broke the uploading arts rule because it wasn't his..but he should atleast be able to appeale."

Oh, so when you know the rules and still break them, you have the right to appeal. Gotcha. -_-

Here be yet another of these questionnaires that you answer with the shuffle of your MP3-player of choice (this one comes from the rabbi [Viking] of the house of David)
Since my player-of-choice was my Yahoo!-radio, and it being what it is, I gave myself an implemented rule that if I hadn't rated or heard (of) the song, artist or album before, I wouldn't use the song (because if it was my MP3-player, that song wouldn't be in my files now would it?)

How am I feeling today?
Artificial Flowers by Bobby Darin
Lyrics-wise I'm feeling like a hard-working orphan who is abused by the rich and powerful, but there is a great reward for me in Heaven. o.O
Title-wise I'm feeling pretty but fake.

Will I get far in life?
The Second Time Around by Frank Sinatra
I'll take that as a 'yes if I try twice'... Which you can't do with life. Nice.

How do my friends see me?
Waterfalls by Paul McCartney
"People who jump waterfalls sometimes make mistakes." Thanks friends. <_<

Where will I get married?
Shine by David Gray
It would seem to be of the opinion that I'll get married in the place "where we can shine" (eg. Heaven). What's with the afterlife songs today?! Geez.

What is my best friend's theme song?
Epiphany by Bowling For Soup
Owch, a break-up song. My friend will always break-up? >_O Sorry Tibo.

What is the story of my life?
Loves Me Like a Rock by Paul Simon
By the sound of it I will be tempted by the devil all through my life, but my mother still loves me. And that I will become the president! Score! And that I will... grow to be... a man... o.O *shrugs* Ah well, we all knew I'm gender-confused.

What was high school like?
I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by the Proclaimers
(Man, it really should have been High school never ends by Bowling for Soup)
It was...long? XD ("I would roll five hundred miles" + Scottish accents <3)

How can I get ahead in life?
I Get Around by the Beach Boys.
The double entendres are killing me so I'll just say I'll get ahead by driving a car. >.<;;;;;;

What is the best thing about me?
Mellow Yellow by Donovan.
I'm laid back? I can live with that. ^^

How is today going to be?
La Vie En Rose by Madeleine Peyroux.
What? Another completely French day?! Noooo! >.< (If anyone feels like telling me what she says in this song, I wouldn't mind :3)

What is in store for this weekend?
I'm Gonna Find Another You by John Mayer
Oooh. :D That's pretty straight-forward of what will happen: I'll get solid proof for the ranxeroxist-theory and revolutionise science once and for all!

What song describes my parents?
Commando by the Ramones.
Whoa man: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/ramones/commando.html
(The second rule is esp. accurate)

To describe my grandparents?
Until The End by Norah Jones.
"A one time apple queen, And a one time tramp, And an old time movie star." -- So that's where I inherit it all from. :3

How is my life going?
I'm a Believer by the Monkees.
No sh*t Sherlock. But seriously, what's with the faith-theme today?

What song will they play at my funeral?
Someone To Love by Fountains of Wayne (Yahoo!-plays this to me a lot... I like it all the more everytime)
Appropriate end for my life... a little bit melancholy tune with a "keep going" -attitude in the lyrics and references to the mafia and 'King of Queens' *nod nod*

How does the world see me?
Head Over Feet by Alanis Morissette
Heh, I dash around and about without thinking?

Will I have a happy life?
No More Mr. Nice Guy by Alice Cooper
o.O I will if I stop being nice? Ummm... nope. No deal, I'll always be nice :P

What do my friends really think of me?
I can't Stop Loving You by Ray Charles
<3 Thanks.

Do people secretly lust after me?
California Girls by David Lee Roth (a Beach Boys cover o.o)
Either it's a 'yes people do' or that 'yes Californian girls do'.

How can I make myself happy?
I'll Stand By You by the Pretenders
Wow. What a fitting song. <3

What should I do with my life?
Aeroplane by Red Hot chili Peppers
Travel. By the power of music.

Will I ever have children?
Jailhouse Rock by ZZ Top (must say I like the King's version better)
My kids will go to jail. :/

What is some good advice for me?
Headlights by Sean Lennon ("from the album Friendly Fire released in 2006" - he's publishing music again? :D Awesome)
I got nothing, really. "Don't turn off the lights" maybe?

How will I be remembered?
White Boys from the soundtrack of the musical Hair.
... XD I'll be remembered as a slightly racist.

What is my signature dancing song?
Istanbul (Not Constantinople) by They Might Be Giants
Wicked! It's an awesome song. I would dance to this if any dancing place ever played it.

What do I think my current theme song is?
As Long As I'm Singing by Kevin Spacey
That's a nice theme song, "as long as I sing, it'll be ok" :)

What does everyone else think my current theme song is?
Aquarius/Let the sunshine in from Hair again.
You lot think i'm in some hippie-phase?

What type of men do you like?
Butterflies by Natalie Imbruglia
Gay men, apparently.

Time for a long-forgotten dose of Alexander Woollcott:

-All the things I really like to do are either immoral, illegal, or fattening.
-I'm tired of hearing it said that democracy doesn't work. Of course it doesn't work. We are supposed to work it.
-Many of us spend half of our time wishing for things we could have if we didn't spend half our time wishing.
-Germany was the cause of Hitler as much as Chicago is responsible for the Chicago Tribune.
-There is no such thing in anyone's life as an unimportant day.
-His huff arrived and he departed in it.
-A hick town is one where there is no place to go where you shouldn't go.
-The English have an extraordinary ability for flying into a great calm.
-At 83, George Bernard Shaw's mind was perhaps not quite as good as it used to be, but it was still better than anyone else's.
-I have no need of your God-damned sympathy. I only wish to be entertained by some of your grosser reminiscences.
-It comes from the likes of you! ... Take what you can get! Grab the chances as they come along! Act in hallways! Sing in doorways! Dance in cellars!

Love him much more than you love me, that's an order.

Mon dieu, my sister just told me that the bourgeois parties won the elections in Finland. o.O I mean... I'm very clueless about Finnish politics because it's all just different shades of grey... But I've somehow always expected that the socialist-democrats would... well, not-lose. o.O I need to start voting in elections.

And I hear that the strange man Jyrki Kasvi (whose website was in Finnish, Swedish, Estonian and Klingon) also got in... Got all the trekkie-votes I bet :P

*edit*

I just realised that they're going to make the new ministers and stuff! :O If Erkki Tuomioja doesn't continue as the foreign minister, I'm not impressed! But he is a social democrat so it's gonna be well strange if he gets to be a minister... Whoever else is appointed, I'm going to start paying close attention to him/her.

Why must I suck at ActionScript? Why must ActionScript suck? X_X;;
It's like a communication gap- well, not like, because that's exactly what it is. I know what I want it to do, I know it can do it, I tell it to do it and it doesn't do it. >.<;;;;

That's actually very poetic... I'll call this piece:
The Programmer and It.

I know what I want It to do.
I know It can do it.
I tell It to do it
and It doesn't do it.

People still haven't stopped singing about me. Most recent example is Van Morrison's Domino:
Don't want to discuss it
I think it's time for a change
You may get disgusted
And think I'm strange
In that case I'll go underground
Get some heavy rest
Never have to worry
About what is worst and what is best

This one gets a bit ranty, so be careful with it :P

Have you ever come across a wikipage where the discussion has been about scripture being rationally ripped apart by people who don't believe in it? People saying things like "in the Book of Blahblah it says here that everyone should kill one bunny once in a blue moon, that just means that Christianity is really evil and unacceptable and immoral and that's why I'm a satanist - brb, gotta go drink the blood of virgins" etc... ? Or not even that extremely, but you know, in that general negative, non-faith way?

Well I have. Several times. I've learned to avoid them because those people do not seem to understand that you can read scripture and you can read scripture, but then again: they don't want to understand it either. They just want to annoy - they are like little mosquitoes of satan. Not advocates of him, just little annoying groupies that you don't want to talk sense to but just want to swat in the back of their heads. Anyway. Recently a friend of mine made a wiki for mutual understanding and support between people of the faiths islam and christianity, because the two come from the same source, yet politically keep clashing. And he asked all muslims and christians who just want the two faiths to live in harmony to sign up. Then something interesting happened. People kept coming saying "I'm not a Christian nor a muslim, but I support this, can I join?" o.O It's like... wtf? Can't you support the idea without joining a wiki you don't fit into? Oh yes that's right, joining a wiki means you don't really have to do anything, do you? When someone asks you to make the world a better place, you can just say "oy, I support the cause, don't gripe at me." It's like a thin person joining the weight watchers, just to support the cause and people who want to loose weight. Because if you're not a muslim, you don't have to walk there out in the street and be afraid that someone's going to make the connection between your faith and terrorism. You don't have to cringe everytime there are news about corrupt paedophile priests or raging anti-abortion fundamentalists attacking someone... and then keep praying that the Lord will forgive them.

Ah well, my friend accommodated them, making two lists: members (for Christian and muslim users) and affiliates (for other supportive users).

Now two of the affiliates started to say stuff like "yeah, I don't agree with everything Christianity offers" and I could see where the discussion was headed *points at beginning of post* and I asked if they'd mind taking the stuff somewhere else because the wiki is not meant for stuff like that. And now they're hoping to making a subwiki of it. o.O Why can't they just make their own wiki for that? Why does it have to be related to this wiki? Why do these pagans have to ruin the fun for everybody else, why do they always do that? >.< It's like where ever you turn you have to accommodate them, even in completely non-paganism related wikis? I don't go to random non-Christian wikis and demand that my faith be somehow included. (Well, I know why they do that actually, and it's not all of them clearly, it's just the 'recent' ones who think it's cool and controversial to be pagan and thus in order for people to see exactly how cool and controversial they are they feel the urge to flaunt it everywhere. In short, it's the playgans, to steal a term).
