18:30 — It's... dundundun... ANGST time! Make yourself comfortable and grab some very crunchy stuff to eat so that you can't hear what I say. I mean, "lose" your glasses so that you can't see what I write.
In real life, I sometimes say stuff that's absolute shit. Poorly conceived, very embarrassing and overall just very shitty shit. I feel bloody disgusted at it afterwards. But why do I say such things? Most often because it kinda makes sense on some stupid rudimentary level or something and because I haven't had time to think. I should just learn to keep my mouth shut and answer later. Why can't my brain come up with something reasonable right away? And why does it almost always happen in a way that I can't really fix afterwards, and if I do fix it, it'll still sound pretty pathetic? This stuff mostly happens when I speak to my family, but hey, the fact that in real life I mostly only talk to my family probably skews the statistics. Either way, it sucks big monkey balls. Why can I be so reasonable online and disgustingly unreasonable in real life? Is that thinking time so important or do I have some serious real life -disability?
15:58 — Last night, when I was brushing my teeth, an obnoxious lump of toothpaste settled on my tongue. I didn't bother to secrete drool to wash it off right at that moment, so it did it when I went to finish brushing teeth about five minutes later. Well, my tongue protested and was of the opinion that the toothpaste had raped it or something, so it was stingy and numb for about 15 minutes. Then it started settling down, though it was still being slightly annoying when I went to sleep. At least my tongue's fine now, though it wants to be extra mucous.
12:46 — Finncon is over for me. Was too tired to go back there today. People had to queue to get into the building the con was in... the damn place was way too small for all the visitors. This time I took photos! I haven't bothered to look at them yet.
12:49 — Also, Ambiguous contest and Crossdressing contest, please.
17:15 — Ropecon pics: http://whoooop
The doomsayer was pretty awesome. http://whoooop
12:17 — It reads on the Ropecon access wrist band: "Sanoivat ennen, että jos Ropeconin yö on tyven, tulee paljon yccösiä." ("They used to say that if the night of Ropecon is calm, you'll get a lot of ones." With an old way of speaking.)
21:38 — I went to Ropecon today. I didn't actually do anything much there, just walked around (not very much) and played a little 4-hour-long Living Greyhawk campaign. I also took two bad photos of a doomsayer. I didn't get any good chances to take photos... Next time I really need to spend more time just watching people go by. XD
18:44 — I'm late, but [Linderel], [Nita] and [True, plain and simple] were here. While our parents were gone, for the most part. I'm almost done with Neverwinter Nights, still have to beat the final battle. Which is hard, because I have a rogue and my henchman is a cleric who takes too much damage. Oh well, I'll get it done one way or another. In unrelated news, why does Blind Guardian sound so awesome when they're doing other people's songs? Read a story, please: http://www.wri
04:42 — My genius shines on you. I played Neverwinter Nigths for about 12 hours straight and I only went to eat in between because it's still warm and I got very thirsty, and as long as I was drinking, I could just as well eat stuff since I was hungry. Didn't eat a lot today, either way. At around 2, I wasn't feeling tired at all and thought, hey, why not stay up through the night? So I continued playing. A bit before 4 I was pretty dead. Damn, it's already light outside...
My forearm is very furry. O_o
20:20 — Hey, I've gone without a diary note for so long that I thought it might be a good idea to torture you. In totally unrelated news, [Nita], [True, plain and simple] and [Linderel] are coming over to our (by then surely quite crowded) house. Fascinating, right?
In other news, I was thinking about an issue that amused me. Someone was editing a page and desperately trying to make the tags work, but couldn't. Well, I immediately thought: "Et vain osaa." (You just don't know how / can't.) After that it struck me that I can't really translate it literally to English somehow, I think. Right after that I remembered a few pictures I'd seen on the net (yeah, those pictures, everyone knows), the kind where there's someone doing something absolutely hilariously (or less so) wrong, with the text: "You're doing it wrong." Then I figured that that is the best translation.
So: You're doing it wrong. :D
02:51 — I got Neverwinter Nights and after some issues (like it not believing that I just gave it the disc it wanted) I've been happily playing it. :D I also saw the original Metroid in a store while I was buying a monitor so I just had to take it. It's a version for GBA, though. Which reminds me that it sucks that the other GBA recharger is missing and the other is with [Gastogh]. I haven't been able to play Pokemon for a week. :O
23:12 – I went to the city to buy stuff (furniture for [Levoton], extension cords for myself and a game (which wasn't in stock)), and I tried to get our defective X-box fixed, but the game store wouldn't take it. I wonder if anyone would buy a slightly defective X-box?
At the furniture store, there was the best ever desk (nothing extra, very simplistic), but the people didn't have it in storage. However, we could take the one that was on show. So we took that. We had to take it apart though to get it into the car. It was easy, but I hurt my thumb. I removed a thing off one bolt and since its edge was so sharp and it was tightly fastened, I ended up stabbing myself under my thumbnail. Didn't hurt much then, now it does when I expose the hurt place. This is exactly why I can't cut my claws short. Ow, stars damnit.
I need to go pick up Key's ceiling tiles and the game on Thursday.
15:23 — I moved to the game room, or my new room, yesterday. Yay, I can place my CPU outside of the room, almost close the door and not worry too much about the thing heating up my room. :D
Apparently I can't get tired of the Gerudo valley music. It's awesome. Same for Deku palace, actually...
22:13 — I went to sleep around 3, and then my mom woke me up at around 9. I was in deep sleep or something, because I was totally dead confused. While I only managed a random sound as a response to the knock, after she explained that I should take her to work because she missed a bus because she didn't have the summer schedule for buses, I totally hit the point when I replied: "Why couldn't you find it in the net?" Going from random confused noises to being a smart-ass in about 5 seconds is pretty good, I guess. Either way, she said and I agreed that me taking her there would be faster, plus it was a more convenient way of getting the other car back from the city, too. My mom had planned to drive it home yesterday, but the work trip she'd been on had included too much alcohol, so I went to pick her up at midnight. Today I took my mom to work, left the other car there, walked to where the other car was and drove it home. It was more convenient in the way that I had a much easier time walking the distance than my mom would have had.
Wow, that's a lot of babble. I've been reading stuff about guns today and after I'd read a fairly lot of stuff, I realized I'd pretty much only need to know the gun parts and the physics behind all the stuff. Hardcore physicist to the end, eh.
10:24 — Network cable has been pulled across the attic. This time I had a breathing mask, too. No harmful glass dust and throat issues! It wasn't as hot either because I went in so early, but damn, it was still hot. We should've had a 20-m cable instead of a 15-m one, though. Now I could move my computer to the game room! It's too hot to do that work now though, and I'm worried that the game room will become hot if I bring the computer there.
10:35 — Time to babble about my game now.
TSi Species are all the species for it, and I'm not sure whether there's enough info on them.
TSg Weapons are weapons. :D Suggestions welcome.
TSg Character skills and TSg Telepathy... I wonder if they're even understandable
00:32 — Oh, oh. http://www.adr
21:06 — http://artpad.
21:50 — And another. http://artpad.
14:40 — Yesterday I moved some more furniture and my mattress to the game room and then slept there. Slept for a long time, too. Slept so much that I'm still tired, yay. I also went to the attic to pull the network cable to the game room, but I couldn't find the hole above the router that easily. It was so hellishly hot in the attic plus I didn't have a breathing mask so I was breathing in the very unhealthy dust there. I gave up then and my throat itched and hurt for some hours afterwards. Then I forgot to buy breathing masks from the store.
00:36 — I've been doing a lot of work. Moving furniture and things around and that sort of thing. I got all my comics safely moved already, rewallpapered a portion of the wall (I just don't like to look at snot on the wall every time I happen to lift my eyes) and now I'm ready to take in my drawing desk.
17:30 — So yeah, here's another. Crossdressing contest!
Don't forget Ambiguous contest either.
13:06 — Omfg. I waited with horror for the day I'd see Wraeththu stuff in y!Gallery, and today it happened. Erh. I just don't think it belongs there. Yet, I CAN see how it would belong there. I'm easily confused.
Related to that, I finished reading the second book yesterday, but I think there was too long a time between reading the middle and the end. I ended up a little confused.
16:44 — I may have found out what's wrong with my eyes. Yesterday's featured article on Wikipedia was http://en.wiki
21:10 — I got my name changed! They did first try to whack me in the head with gender but they bought my explanation. I'm feeling bouncy.
And... Ambiguous contest!
01:01 — I've been moving furniture around so that I could one day move into the game room. Living room is almost ready and all my comics are on the floor.
In other news, this is absolutely the best thing I've read in a long while. It tickles my brain just in the right places and makes me squee! http://abyss.u
All you zombies. http://moshkow
(Note: if you don't want to be spoiled, you should read the actual story (second link) first.)
