I hated the secret
I carried inside

My words were guarded

With all of my being

But your senses were sharp
And my thoughts so slow
I knew before long

So I punished myself
Denied all help
And the secret I kept
Haunted me as I slept

For in my naivety

2008-12-23 [Artsy]: I like all of this one too. A lot actually. Except those last two lines. They just.. don't feel right. They were nice, but seem like a puzzle piece that doesn't fit.
