I am cold beyond the bitterness
I have lost the will to rest
I am losing myself to anguish
without ever leaving my desk

I seek out dreams every night
to wash away the day
And settle in to fantasies
that will never find it's way

I lie alone, though i'm with you
I cry alone, solitude true
when chips have fallen
and it all hits the fan
I've lost my life in many ways
and to each night i die again.

All this has come to me
with trembling fingers
as i look down at the one
who doesn't love me...
but will not let me go.
