I started out by making a base for the skin colours. Photo reference was awesome cause I got to "steal" the colour scheme :P

Made the Drion's outline

Made the skin colours flatter and started filling in the Drion as well

More skin goodness

Yay for hair. How sucky it seems like that. All flat brrrr
