Looks: Alvar is clean-cut and well-groomed, with short brown hair, an angular regal face, and sagely blue eyes. He is quite comely, but in such a way that holds more of an appeal as a leader than as a mate or lover. Alvar stands at 5'10", and wears relatively expensive clothing under a reddish-black traveling cloak when making any sort of speech; it's held together by a greenish clasp.


Personality: Alvar carries himself highly, with a commanding air about him. When he speaks, most everyone listens. His decisions are made in a most unyielding manner, regardless of how tough they are; when they're clearly of a manner close to his heart, especially against it, his face noticeably steels and his voice hardens equally so. In casual situations, he usually has a smile on his face, and talks of merrier subjects and makes his guests feel at home. Despite his commanding presence and awe-inspiring demeanor, he has a healthy sense of humor and a good aesthetic sense. It's not hard to find a common point of interest with Alvar, it seems.


History: The House Nexastrien has been around for several centuries, and has always been a benefactor in the kingdom's politics. Every member of his House has led a long life and made major contributions around. Alvar, the 21st Nexastrien in the line, rules his fief with a certain appeal to his people, and it is known that some of his retainers would give their lives to him in the same way he gives his riches to them. His family was killed in a tragic crisis several years back, in which a group of assassins rumoured to have darker affiliations murdered and mutilated his wife Marianna and two children, Bel and Caestral. He barely escaped with his life, but was scarred both physically and emotionally; he's never been the same since, and refuses to speak of it, usually diverting the conversation to something more cheerful.
