The room is big and for the most part, clean. A bureau full of clothes sits on one side of a big four-post bed. A cheap TV sits next to a computer on the other side of the room, surrounded by bookshelves and drawers filled with all sorts of interesting books and trinkets. There is even a DDR pad tucked in the corner with a Playstation 2, although her game collection is modest at best. Her computer is usually online, Myspace dominating her visits.
Antimony ported into the room, dragging with her Rhydian, the twins, Waya, and Junior.
Rhydian fell to his knees as soon as he was dragged away from the battle. Without his presence, his garbage creature would have fallen to pieces now anyway. He grabbed his chest and retched, bringing up not only his lunch, but a lot of blood as well. His bleeding nose hadn't exactly stopped and he was beginning to look a little pale. He looked up at Antimony with an apologetic look on his face. He felt she would understand right now, but he still felt the need to apologize for soiling her carpet.
Jaden was a little wobbly from hitting his head earlier. He managed to make it to her bed and sat down. Her arched her back forwards and placed his elbows on is thighs, resting his head in his hands.
Jayden rested a hand on Rhydian's shoulder for comfort for a moment. He was really frustrated at how none of them could do anything to stop her. Not only that, but their whole team wasn't safe in Antimony's room either. They were still out there. "What's the plan, babe?"
"Well---"
Antimony started, when she discovered a piece of blood mercury that had somehow made it through the portal. She gave a little shriek as it jumped towards her and made something they hadn't seen before around it. She made two portal holes bend around it completely so that no matter what direction it went, it came back to its original position.
"I was planning on doing that, only around all of her--Waya, are you okay?" She asked, seeing that she was covered in blood.
Waya had her back turned to them and was visibly shaking. She turned around slowly. "It's... it's not mine... Um... it's... it's Kale..." She said slowly. She was still staring at her hands "It's Kale... I'm... I'm covered in Kale..." She began to breath heavily. She'd never seen someone die like that "Get him off me..." She said carefully "Get him off of me...." Finally she lost it "GET HIM THE FUCK OFF OF ME!"
Rhydian looked at Waya and had to turn away from her as he heaved again, holding his hand to his mouth, hoping to catch whatever was left of his stomach contents. All this succeeded in doing was causing it to spray outwards
Jayden winced a bit at the sight of Waya. Concentrating only on the blood and...other bodily fluids, he forced gravity around it downwards. It pooled around her feet, soaked into the carpet. Antimony's carpet was pretty much destroyed by now with vomit and blood.
"But-"
Jaden chimed in, "If you put two portals around her...what will become of your Mother?"
"She won't hurt anyone else again,"
Antimony said through gritted teeth in a tone that meant she was done discussing it. She felt sick looking at Waya now and turned away. "But....Veroni
ca and Eliza might still be alive."
Jayden and Jaden looked at one another, then at Antimony. They too were saddened by Kale's passing. Swallowing it, they both went forwards and hugged Antimony lightly. They didn't know for sure if she would mind or not.
Rhydian swallowed hard and wiped the blood and vomit from his chin. He slowly pushed himself up to his feet and braced himself against the wall. "We have to...have to help them. No matter what."
The twins released Antimony, not wanting to upset her more. Jaden sniffled a little, holding in how sad he was about Kale. It was a horrible thing, but they both had to stay strong. Now wasn't the time to mourn.
Waya gathered her emotions. "Alright." She said taking control again. "This is how it goes. Moe, you said your willing to do what it takes. What do you need?"
"I need--" Antimony's voice wavered. She cleared her throat. "I need everyone out of the way and out of her clutches. I don't want to trap someone in there with her." Her voice seemed stronger now. She looked around the room at the others, glad that the twins had let go of her. She couldn't take that right now. "And I need her to stop moving in one place so there's nothing I miss."
"Look," Junior said interrupting Waya. "We're not going to stand by while you take this thing on yourself. We all saw what happened to ... Kale." He took a breath "You need her to stay still in one spot. What's her weakness?"
Antimony bit her lip, closing her bottom eyes as she thought. "..Electricity only makes her worse...So an EMP would take the blood mercury out of commission. But we need to make sure she doesn't just retake control." She paused and explained. "The blood mercury works two ways. Either it's a fully functional extension of the body, or it's working under the intelligence level of a retarded dog. We need to make sure it can't do either." She turned to Waya. She was the natural leader, after all.
Waya Crossed her arms and thought for a moment. She wasn't sure where they could get an EMP. Shield had confiscated the good one shortly before the X-Men's disappearance. All of a sudden it came to her. "Junior!" She shouted and pointed at him "Can you do that thing you did when you shut down the Blackbird?"
"What?" Junior asked. He had no idea what she was talking about
Waya said "Me you and Rhydian where messing around in the Blackbird. We where 14, it started up, you freaked out, it shut down and it too Hank a week to get it up and running again. No one ever found out..
"Waya..." Junior said sternly as if she wasn't supposed to mention it.
"Oh come on who are they gonna tell?" Waya said impatiently "The principal?"
"We where kids then." Junior said "The Young Avengers always called Iron Man when we needed one."
"But you can try?" Waya asked.
"I guess I can. I mean I can't make any promises." Junior said
"Good enough." Waya said quickly "Moe, what else do you need? If Junior can emit an EMP then we can incapacitate Black Pearl."
Antimony nodded in approval. "But EMPs don't bother people. I just hope Jeremy can possess her or something. Even if the EMP works, Mom---" She faltered. "Casey will just take over. We need to make sure she doesn't wake up." She couldn't believe she was saying this about her own mother. She tried not to think about it.
"So what we really need is to distract her." Waya said "Give Jeremy enough time to get shit straight in her head and let Junior do his thing. The big trash creature seemed to do pretty before."
Rhydian glanced at Waya with a doubtful look. "You weren't the one fighting that stuff with it. I was barely making a dent..."
"That doesn't matter, it's just a distraction." Jaden told him. Since the twins weren't given a chance to speak up at all, Jaden figured that one little note would suffice. Neither of them were really in the plan anyways.
"he's right.' Junior said. "We just need to distract her long enough for Jeremy to get sorted out in her head. Then WHAM. Lights out."
Rhydian coughed painfully into his hand, spitting up blood again. "Would you guys take a second to look at me? I've NEVER done that before and just look at how I'm paying for it. I don't honestly think I can do it again..." He looked down at the blood pool around Waya's feet and shut his eyes for a moment. "I mean if Kale were...were still with us...maybe I could, but I just can't handle that kind of strain. My chest feels like it was thrown through a cheese grater..."
Waya took in the sight of Rhydian. Now that everything had calmed down for a minuet she could see that he was weakened. "Maybe you should stay up here." She said. It was hard for her to say but she didn't want anything to happen to him. "The rest of us can distract her."
"I'm no Kale but..." Junior Laid his hand on Rhydian's shoulder. He could transfer energy into other people which sped the healing process. It wasn't as refined or nearly as fast as Kale's healing abilities but Rhydian should feel a little better. "The harder Casey fights the more energy I absorb from everyone. I can spare a little."
Rhydian felt the energy surge into him and he let out a sigh. He looked at his best friend and smiled. "You've been gone a while man, kinda forgot about that lil trick." He looked to Waya and shook his head. "I'm not sitting up here while you guys are down there risking it all. If you think my creation distracted that stuff, then I'll try it again."
"Then it's setteled." Waya said She looked to moe "Whenever your ready."
"Alright," Antimony said quietly. "Let's go." She opened a portal back to where Casey was and stepped through.
The twins grabbed Rhydian and yanked him into the portal, along with Jr.
Waya followed, the portal taking them all back to the rec room
Antimony found herself shadow ported into her room by Waya. She couldn't stop crying, she was shaking so bad.
Waya had ported them to the bed where they now sat in the same position in which they'd left the rec room. She didn;t say anything, she just held Moe and let her cry. She remembered how mush she'd wanted Moe to be there when her own parents where taken from her.
Antimony eventually calmed down, sniffling and wiping the grey streaks of tears from her four eyes. Her eyes didn't get red, they just got darker, but just as puffy. "I did good, right?" She asked quietly.
"Moe... you saved the lives of six people tonight, including me." Waya said "You did good."
"Okay," Antimony said quietly. "I-I think I'll be okay now."
"Good, because I can't deal with the twins on my own. I need you here to draw their fire." Waya smiled.
Antimony laughed a little. "The twins, that's right. I expect they'll want an explanation or something." She stood up shakily, stretching to get the sorrow out of her muscles so she could use them. "Should we go, then?" She splayed her hands to open another portal back.
Waya stood and joined her. "SHIELD is going to give me hell over this one."
