Personality:

Very quiet, a critter of few words. He is loyal to the queen, follows orders well, is very alert and observant even if he doesn't speak up about it. Calm and calculating he is less part of a swarm and more a spider lying in wait.

Weapons:

He is meticulously trained in combat weaponry such as guns, turrets, canons, explosives, and blades.

Appearance:

Pale grey exoskeleton with terra cotta colored accents. When his 5th and 6th limbs began to take form as he approached adulthood they were ripped off for the tactical advantage of his station. He does have a set of functional wings that usually remain retracted and held close to his body resembling two very prominent shoulder blades. Three sets of eyes provide him with perfect night vision. Pit organs under his exoskeleton set behind his eyes allow him to detect heat signatures to the sides of himself.

History:

Aphignat was one of dozens of undersized grubs drafted into an infiltration division of the Xiox army. Their small size allowed them to kill, disembowel, and inhabit the bodies of other creatures which they would then infiltrate, find the center of the "nest" (his language has no word for things like 'city center'), and report back with the target so as attacks can cause greater damage and destruction than mindless attacks. Xiox are violent, but a mindless army is laughable if they only attack farms.

As he emerged from his second chrysalis with budding 5th and 6th limbs, they were immediately ripped off. While many scream in agony, fueling innate rage, Aphignat had merely tightened in pain but held steady. His commander considered him weak. Too quiet, meager, and incompetant to even serve the purpose he was born and bred to. He intended to eradicate the weak chain from his soldiers.

It was two weeks later when the exoskeleton began to rot that Aphignat reemerged, having killed and taken over the body of his commanding officer using the skills he had spent his whole life mastering without a single person noticing. He has been an independent operative ever since.

Even still, he follows orders well and remains unquestioningly loyal to the queen.

Other:
One thing Aphignat has never been able to do is master languages well, potentially from little use of his own words. Because of this, when he infiltrates he typically will take on a persona of a quiet person or creature. He understands very well, but can speak very little.
