Artun II’s birthdate is unknown, though it is believed to be 13AF (After Founding). This emperor ascended to his father’s throne in 29AF, after a bloody duel with his second older brother established his right to the throne. Artun II died in 73AF, due to multiple stab wounds or ensuing infection; the true cause of death is uncertain, as is the identity of the assassin. In the year 31AF Artun II married Empress Arilla I, who sired four sons and three daughters. Their third son, Garin, ascended to the throne.
