ASSAULT LEGION: ACT II.

Diedric slowly opened his eyes, but quickly closed them when the sunlight nearly blinded him. He groaned and moved so that his back was facing the sun. "Stupid sun." He opened his eyes again and blinked them a few times to clear his vision. He gave a tired yawn, showing off his fangs.
It was a pale morning, though it seemed bright. Aithne's left ear twitched at awaking. He squinted and opened his eyes. Morning... He caught eye of a bat nearby and sat up in his bed, recalling the night before.
"Good morning, Aithne," Espin greeted the brunet. He had been awake for quite a while now, actually resisting the urge to sleep now that the sun was up, knowing that the others would awake soon. Staying awake during the day was something that he would have to get used to if he was to be staying with that group, he had decided. He let go of his hold on the underside of the windowsill and turned back to his humanlike form, coming to rest on the floor.
After a few minutes Diedric finally got up, untangled himself from the blanket, and went to see if the others were up or not. And if they weren't up they would get a rather rude awakening.
At the sound of Diedric moving around, Adrien woke up with a groan. He'd fallen asleep against the wall, watching the daywalker sleep. He was paying for that now, with muscles in his neck and back complaining loudly as he tried to stand up. D-damn...
Aithne blinked, not sure how to respond to the bat. "Good morning," he murmured softly, rising from his bed.
Espin smiled a little in response to Aithne, though it was probably clear that he was most certainly not a morning person. "A-ah, do you have anything planned for today?" he asked as he stood as well, sounding nervous. "I could always leave if you needed me to..."
Diedric walked around the house, searching every room, until he finally found Aithne and Espin. "Morning you two." He gave Aithne a small wink. "So, what's for breakfast?"
Adrien, who had come down the stairs a few feet behind Diedric, let out a startled squeak and backed up against the wall with a loud thump. "D-don't eat me!!"
"I don't often eat breakfast," Aithne replied lightly. "But you're welcome to look through my kitchen and consume what you wish. Today's a Saturday. I buy groceries at three." Through his window he eyed the great clock tower, the master of all his actions.
Espin glanced out the window in an attempt to see what Aithne was looking at, but failed as the light hit his eyes. He groaned softly and turned his back to the window. "I already ate," he murmured, then couldn't help but smile as what Adrien meant registered to him. "I do not think you will find danger here. I am a vegetarian, and I doubt that Aithne poses a threat to any of us, as he so kindly took us in last night. As for you..." He glanced at Diedric and tilted his head slightly. "You don't eat human flesh, do you? You just take their blood?"
"Only when I need it," Diedric stretched his wings out. "Being a daywalker I don't need to drink blood every day. I can go about a month between blood meals and during that time I eat normal food."
Adrien calmed down marginally, scooting along the wall, around the room to the fridge, staying as far away from Diedric as possible.
"I still have to figure out why all of this has occurred," Aithne said in a dazed way. He wasn't tired, but the way last night had gone, and with all these people... He wasn't sure how to react, what to do, where to. "My teacher says everything happens for a reason... I must find the reason we were all brought together."
Espin looked around the room and at each of the people in it. He couldn't help but wonder what purpose two demons, a daywalker, and... what seemed to be a normal human could possibly serve, though it did seem to be much more than just a coincidence. "Whatever reason that would be, thank you for allowing me to stay," he said humbly.
"So, are we going to eat breakfast or not?" asked Diedric playing with a few strands of hair.
Adrien twitched, yanking the fridge door open with a little more force than was necessary.
It was perfectly organized, and no food was out of date, though there wasn't much there. Aithne only needed food for one, and he frowned slightly. "There is fruit on my counter," he said, pointing the bowl, and refreshments in the refrigerator." He peered inside over Adrien's shoulder. "Milk, orange juice, and other beverages." He eyed yogurt, and other small items. There was a lack of morning meals present, and he frowned. He hoped he didn't come across as a poor planner. --Of course, this was most unexpected. Aithne shook his head of the thoughts, and went back to his living room, sitting on his couch to ponder the meaning of his current situation. Perhaps he would talk to his teacher later?
Espin was quick to follow Aithne out of the room, then took a seat on the floor in front of the couch so that he was facing the fire demon, trying to make himself as small as possible so that he wouldn't get in the way of anyone or anything. He then took to looking carefully at his surroundings, hoping that he wasn't any more in the way than he had been in the kitchen.
Diedric grabbed the yogurt and, after finding a spoon, leaned against a counter eating it. As he ate he looked around, frowning slightly. "I don't see a coffee pot."
Adrien nervously kept an eye on Diedric, his hands shaking so badly he was having a hard time peeling the orange he'd picked up. What'll I do if he decides he wants to complete that deal Aithne made with him?! He thought, almost dropping the orange. .. Will it hurt as much as it did before? I'm... afraid...
One of the flame demon's ears turned towards the kitchen, catching Diedric's complaint. "I don't like coffee," he said, not looking in that direction, his thoughts outside the window he was staring through. He watched the other demon with his peripheral vision. "There's tea in the cabinet over the sink."
Diedric shook his head. "No thanks. I'll just go out and buy a cup when I head into town."

2007-10-16 [Nuriko-kun]: Adrien: O_o..

XD I think we broke Adrien's brain..

2007-10-16 [*dragonstar*]: Diedric: I find sudoku rather fun.
I hate sudoku. I could never win.
Diedric: Just shows that I'm better at numbers than you are.

2007-10-16 [.:*I don't want the world*:.]: I.
LOVE.
Sudoku.

It comes with being obsessive compulsive with numbers. Well, my kind of OCD with numbers, anyway.

D:

2007-10-16 [▲.]: Probably. D:

2007-10-16 [.:*I don't want the world*:.]: You've had to sit through lots of my Sudoku obsessing. XD;; It just makes me happy how all nine of the numbers fit in nine boxes in nine squares and, and... there's only one per line. It's lovely. ;~;

Also, if we don't continue with this sometime soon, I'm going to fall asleep... >_<

2007-10-16 [*dragonstar*]: I'm good with letters and puzzles. Give me a thousand piece puzzle and I'll have that thing put together in a few hours.

2007-10-16 [▲.]: ... I love Sudoku for being full of my beautiful nines. But I really hate working with numbers. They're so touchy. T_T

2007-10-16 [Nuriko-kun]: >.> I suck at Sudoku...

2007-10-16 [*dragonstar*]: I was never good with numbers. Math isn't one of my strong points.

2007-10-16 [.:*I don't want the world*:.]: I am horrible in math, yet good with numbers outside of math, thanks to my OCD.

That makes no sense.

2007-10-16 [*dragonstar*]: I'm better at problem solving that doesn't deal with numbers and puzzles. I was amazed that I put together a two thousand piece puzzle within a week. If it wasn't for the backgroud I would have had it together in less than a week.

2007-10-16 [▲.]: <.<;; I'm good with nines.

2007-10-16 [.:*I don't want the world*:.]: Backgrounds are always the hardest part. XD Especially skies or grass.

2007-10-16 [▲.]: Ooh yes. :/

2007-10-16 [*dragonstar*]: I'm fine with skies and grasses. They all have different shades to them, but this background was all one solid color. A navy blue background.

2007-10-16 [▲.]: <.<;;... >.>;;

2007-10-16 [.:*I don't want the world*:.]: Okay, yeah, go ahead and skip me this turn.

2007-10-16 [*dragonstar*]: ok.

2007-10-16 [▲.]: I'm sleeping, guys. xD I'm so tired.

2007-10-16 [*dragonstar*]: I'm going to go in a few.

2007-10-16 [Nuriko-kun]: ^^'
