In Tortuga, Carmen and Gemma arrive and get acquainted. Carmen decides to take a stranger onboard when he wants a way to get to Port Royale. Later on, Captain Deo and Brandon arrive and Brandon spots an Imperial ship headed towards them. Deo ignores the ship and begins to look for new recruits to join his crew. Deo and Brandon retreat when the soldiers come into town to look for them, but take the Garnet and sneak away to the other side of the island. The two return to the town to once again look for crew members. Kika and Zexus of the Hunter meet up with Ari, one of their crew members and they wait for the Hunter to arrive on the island.
