Character Name: Augusta "Gus" Dupreen
Age: 11
Appearance: Short and scrawny due to his age. His hair is short and a rustic brown to match his eyes. Freckles dapple over his cheeks and shoulders, covering most of his complexion. his teeth are crooked and he still has two baby teeth to lose.
Clothing: Gus wears a yellow tank top and a red bandana. On his lower self, he wears cargo shorts and rubber boots. He always keeps a purple backpack on his just in case he needs something and to keep his little feline friend.
In his backpack, Gus keeps an assortment of knick knacks. Twinkies, shoelaces, lighters, fireworks, whatever interesting things he discovers in gas stations.
Personality: He is a very hyper young kid, but Gus is also very naive and clueless at times. He is bull headed and stubborn, not wanting help from anyone....even though most of the time, he really REALLY needs it.
Preferred Weapon: His bus. Gus hats getting close to the zombies, but if he has to, he uses a pair of hedge clippers.
History: With divorced parents since he was 8, Gus had gotten used to going from home to home to visit both parents. He primarily stayed with his Dad in a small town in southern Illinois and visited his mother in Vegas every 6 months.
When the attack hit his home town, Gus' father immediately picked his up from school and headed home to pack their things. He was a bus driver and as the infection progressed, he started to load up the bus with food and supplies. Unfortunately, the horde came too soon and Gus was forced to leave with the vehicle by his father's command. Convinced the western side of the country may be safe, he told his to head to his mother's home near Vegas. For two years, Gus and his Father traveled from Jersey toward Nevada.
They traveled from Lucky for his, he had shown his the majority of how to run the bus....but he is still learning a few things. Somewhere in Indiana, they were ambushed and barely made it out alive. Unfortunately Gus's father had been bitten and was left behind, forcing Gus to travel on his own.
From gas station to gas station, Gus drives a city bus with books strapped to his feet across the country using his GPS. He only stops to sleep and rest and ONLY in the middle of the country. It hadn't taken his long to discover that densely populated areas weren't the best to make a pit stop.
Along the way, he found a small homeless kitten and took him in, naming the young stray Barnaby.
