Red Magic
Red magic comes from the fire of the soul. A red mage is one who has learned to manifest that fire into the world in any number of forms. As red mages grow more powerful they also come in danger of being consumed by their powers.

Spark
Required Ranks: 2; Energy Cost: 2; Casting Time: 1 action; Range: 2 lurks
Description: Can be used to ignite flammable materials. Good for lighting things and that’s about it.
Torch
Required Ranks: 5; Energy Cost: 5; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 10 minutes; Range: caster’s person
Description: Creates a flame in the hand of the caster. Illuminates a 3 lurks radius clearly. The radius illuminated can be increased for a minute by 1 lurk by spending 5 energy. The flame doesn't burn caster but can be used to give a +3 bonus to damage with unarmed attacks.
Bounce
Required Ranks: 5; Energy Cost: 5; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 10 rounds; Range: touch
Description: An object weighing less then one pound starts to bounce around the immediate area with similar momentum to something being thrown. The object is not harmed by this. If the caster wished, during the duration of the spell, the object will bounce off any number of targets designated by the caster. When doing this, the object makes an attack with Spell’s Power + 10 accuracy and 0 damage against one of the targets per round. The GM determines which target is attacked each round.
Warm
Required Ranks: 5; Energy Cost: 25; Casting Time: 1 minute; Duration: 8 hours; Range: 5 lurks radius around caster
Description: The area within a 5 lurk radius from the caster warms up to a comfortable temperature until the spell wears off.
Fire Bolt
Required Ranks: 10; Energy Cost: 20; Casting Time: 1 action; Range: 10 lurks; Save: avoid vs. attack
Description: Shoots a bolt of flame making an attack with Spell’s Power + 10 accuracy and 20 damage.
Speed
Required Ranks: 15; Energy Cost: 15; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 1 minute; Range: caster’s person
Description: Caster’s speed score is doubled.
Jump
Required Ranks: 15; Energy Cost: 20; Casting Time: cast in conjunction with the act of jumping; Duration: the jump; Range: caster’s person
Description: This spell gives the caster a + 100 bonus to Athletics for the jump check. The jump takes place during the same action as the casting of the spell.
Flash Charge
Required Ranks: 15; Energy Cost: 20; Casting Time: 1 minute; Duration: until triggered; Save: look away or cover eyes when burst goes off but one must know it is coming in order to do this.
Description: Enchants a small object to explode in a flash of light. This partially blinds all those with in 5L of it causing a – {the value of the item in credits} penalty to all sight based checks including attacks. The caster can choose for the explosion to be triggered from the following options: impact, contact with animate creature, time delay (count down started by making a gesture over the item) or by command word.
Fire Sheathe
Required Ranks: 15; Energy Cost: 20; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 1 minute; Range: touch
Description: Target Weapon gains +10 damage and illuminates 2 lurks.
Everlasting Flame
Required Ranks: 25; Energy Cost: 30; Casting Time: 10 minutes; Duration: permanent
Description: As the spell
torch except that it is cast on to an object and once cast it stays at the same brightness forever.
Fire Lance
Required Ranks: 25; Energy Cost: 10; Casting Time: 1 action; Range: 10 lurks; Save: avoid vs. attack
Description: When this spell is cast it shoots a beam of fire that strikes a target with Spell’s Power +20 accuracy, 20 damage and a range of 10L.
Cook
Required Ranks: 25; Energy Cost: 5; Casting Time: 10 minutes;
Description: This spell allows a mage to cook nearly any dish that can be made from the materials at hand.
Anger
Required Ranks: 25; Energy Cost: 15; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 5 rounds; Range: 10 lurks; Save: will check vs. Spell’s Power
Description: Target must attack someone every round if able
Throwing Flame
Required Ranks: 30; Energy Cost: 15; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: until thrown or dismissed; Range: 10 lurks; Save: avoid vs. attack
Description: Two ball of flame appears in the casters hands which she can throw as a weapon with +20 accuracy, +10 damage and uses the Throwing skill. Throwing each ball of flame is an action.
Dragon Skin (Aura)
Required Ranks: 30
Description: So long as this spell is on a mage’s spell list, she is immune to the first 10 damage from fire she takes a round.
Heat Ray
Required Ranks: 35; Energy Cost: 0; Casting Time: 1 action; Range: 5 lurks; Save: avoid vs. attack
Description: This spell shoots a ray of heat at an opponent with Spell’s Power accuracy and 0 damage.
Transfer Heat
Required Ranks: 35; Energy Cost: 15; Casting Time: 1 action; Range: 10 lurks
Description: The heat, in excess from room temperature, is transfer from one inanimate object to another.
Fire Blood (Aura)
Required Ranks: 35
Description: So long as this spell is on a mage's spell list, she gains + 35 to athletics and her maximum hit points score is reduced by 5.
Random Action
Required Ranks: 35; Energy Cost: 20; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 1 action; Range: 10 lurks; Save: will check vs. Spell’s Power + 10
Description: The next time target creature attempts an action instead of doing what the creature wanted to do, the creature performs a random action (to be determined by the GM). This action counts as the character’s first action so she must spend 5 energy to take a second and so on.
Searing Hands
Required Ranks: 40; Energy Cost: 30; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 5 rounds; Range: caster’s person
Description: Gives a +12 damage bonus to unarmed attacks and reduces the cost of additional unarmed attacks by five energy.
Rage
Required Ranks: 40; Energy Cost: 30; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 1 minute; Range: caster’s person
Description: Caster gains +20 damage, +2 lurks to speed and must make a melee attack against an opponent every turn if able.
Skin of Flame
Required Ranks: 45; Energy Cost: 30; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 1 minute; Range: caster’s person
Description: Caster is surrounded by a layer of flame. All her unarmed attacks gain a +20 bonus to damage. Any creature that touches the caster takes 20 damage. This spell deals 15 damage to the user when it wears off.
Fire Ball
Required Ranks: 50; Energy Cost: 30; Casting Time: 1 action; Range: 10 lurks; Save: standard blast
Description: This spell causes an explosion at a point with in range. All near by take 20 + Spell’s Power damage – {20 / lurk away} – avoid.
Fire Lance II
Required Ranks: 50; Energy Cost: 10; Casting Time: 1 action; Range: 15 lurks; Save: avoid vs. attack
Description: When cast this spell shoots a beam of fire that strikes a target with Spell’s Power +30 accuracy, 30 damage, a range of 15L.
Incite Rage
Required Ranks: 60; Energy Cost: 50; Casting Time: 1 action; Duration: 1 minute; Range: touch; Save: will check vs. Spell’s Power
Description: Target gains +20 damage, +2 lurks to speed and must make a melee attack against an opponent every turn if able.
Burst Charge
Required Ranks: 70; Energy Cost: 30; Casting Time: 1 minute; Duration: until triggered; Range: touch; Save: standard blast
