2006-08-18 [LonelyTylenol]: You rock. You immediately rock. You're a Cavvy! You should've said something. Wow... I suddenly feel like a loser. I saw the performance at the BOA Summer Symposium/ DCI Summer Games thing. This year and last. That's the only DCI show I've ever been to... Wow... There are times, when I wish I was a guy...
Anyways: congratulation
2006-08-18 [Mistress Lina]: i kno exactly how you feel lol yea i def want to do something band like with my life but not a band director lol i would not be a good teacher
2006-08-18 [Angelic Chaos]: Thanks.
2006-08-18 [LonelyTylenol]: I have an extra reason to feel like a loser though. (by the way, changed my screen name. Sorry if that confuses anyone). YOu see... at BOA, the big thing (everybody, and I mean everybody is doing it) is to oggle (sp?) over all the Cavalier guys hanging around campus, whether or not you get to work with them.
2006-08-18 [Angelic Chaos]: *smile and laughs*
2006-08-19 [Mistress Lina]: wow yea
2006-08-27 [your mom goes to college24]: yo....
2006-08-28 [Mistress Lina]: hey ? i was wondering if anyone here knows anything about whether or not plastic reeds or good? yea i need to kno thinking bout trying them for marching season so yea if you could so kindly help me it is apreciated
2006-08-29 [The Color Megan]: I don't like plastic reeds at all. But what do you play?
2006-08-30 [your mom goes to college24]: NO1!!!!! NO!!! DON'T EVER USE PLASTIC REEDS!
2006-08-31 [LonelyTylenol]: Wow, that's a pretty strong statement? What do you play and what's your experience?
2006-09-04 [your mom goes to college24]: i play flute......and i know about reeds because in class our old drum major played clarinet and he was using a plastic reed and he was always really sharp...then our director asked what size is your reed and he said it was a 3 then our director asked what kind it was and he said it was a plastic one...also he couldnt hit a high c above the staffthe're just not good....
2006-09-04 [LonelyTylenol]: That may have been his clarinet and not his reed, though, too.
2006-09-04 [your mom goes to college24]: no he was pushed in all the way like too far to where his cork got stuck
2006-09-04 [LonelyTylenol]: Well, if he was pushed in all the way, that may be why he was sharp. I don't know, just considering possibilities. The first time I heard of a plastic reed, a professional was using it. He said that they were very hit-and-miss. Some work very well and other hardly at all, but the ones that do work last forever just about.
2006-09-10 [Mistress Lina]: yea i play the clarinet and i have been playing for 5 yrs but my middle skool teacher was kinda retarded so it feels like i have been learning bout it for two so i barely kno some stuff
but i wanted to kno whether plastic were would be better for marching season and i was like oOoO let me ask them so yea
2006-10-15 [your mom goes to college24]: aaahhh! i see well i don't kno also our band captain jerahmiah he plays alto sax and said that plastic reeds are bad too but i dont know
2006-11-01 [your mom goes to college24]: chea..
2007-02-17 [Mistress Lina]: yea soo umm idk i haven't had a band director like i'm sure i said before and we went to competiton all by our selves and we kicked butt we were one point away from a superior at FBA but i'm sure that we would have had a superior if we had a band director grrrr to the losers judges lol oh and now we have a band director lol yay
2007-05-24 [Tragedy In Trend]: OhurGod!!! I've never met awesome-like Band Geeks in forever!!! Sweeeeet!!! I moved and no one likes band here >_< Used to live in Texas, Concert Band central man!!!
