Kingdom 2- Bell, The Inner City

The city is always busing with life. The peasants and land owners are cheery and always up to something.
However, they always are weary of the looming castle of their king. Very few people have come back alive.

Gildor walked out from his house that he rarely used and locked the door then smiled as he looked at the worn house. "I really should visit home more often... Oh well, duty calls and all that I guess..." He hummed a gentle tune as he wandered through the busy streets.

Seb floated around the city, as he made his way farther from the kingdom's castle. The king had been of little use to him, and annoyed the mage to no end.He felt like he was talking to a walking bag of meat, rather than an intelligent human being. If it hadn't been for the need to keep pretenses up Seb would have blasted him with everything he had. The woman had more sense, and she was beaten daily.

Gildor stopped to look at an bookstore, Queen Belle had been reason for there being more than just the one in the old parts of town. A thing he was very happy for, even if not too many of them actually revolved around or had anything at all to do with magic then the possibility to read was still something he enjoyed greatly. "Hmmm, wonder if there is any good new books, been a while since I last checked these stores."

Seb saw a bookstore as he past down the street and figured he would see if there was anything of significance in it. He had an interest in the history of the Arethusa. The magic of Arethusa is held in line by a magical contract that's sealed in blood magic by the land's royalty. That's not to saying magic doesn't have a mind of its own, there are curses and spell; however, that magic comes from people rather than the land. As a blood mage the concept was very appealing to him. By reading history books Seb was able to keep track of the linage of each kingdom, which was important to the very same contract.  He looked around noticing an elf browsing magical books. "Do you happen to see any on the history of Arethusa? I'm not particular about how far back it goes. "

"Well hello there dear colleague, no... Not as far as I can see I'm afraid... Then again that's more likely under magical history rather then plain magic tomes, maybe over there." Gildor looked at the various book titles, both searching for interesting titles for himself and the one the to him unknown magic wielder had asked for. He then pointed towards the section he had mentioned as he looked up with a soft smile.

Seb scoffed at the man. "I'm not looking for the history of magic of the land, I have that all ready memorized, but rather the history of its rulers and passing titles down through generations."

Gildor chuckled softly and turned to point at the regular historical book section. "Well then I would guess it would be in the normal history department, I merely assumed you looked for that since you asked me while I was looking here and given I am not employed here, my dear apologies mr....? My name is Gildor by the way, Gildor Séregon." He bowed his head politely.

"Sebastion, an Embassidor for the 8th Kingdom." Seb replied. "I had hopes you might have run across something, but it seems I was mistaken. Any way, what is it you do Gildor?"

"Really? How amusing, I am an ambassador myself, for this kingdom though of course, my job basically is to try and create connections and bring the kingdoms together to cooperate to improve life for everyone or at least as many as possible." Gildor replied with pride. He then looked around at the shop. "I am afraid that it's been a while I've been here in this town so that is sort of why I don't really know about what you seek, rarely is home so thereby not much chance to look around. That is why I am not really of much help this time around I'm afraid..." He shrugged apologetically.

"Are then on your way to see the Red Queen then? It seems she has summon an ambassador from every kingdom." Seb Said. "That women seems to have a stick up her ass." he sneered

"Now, now, it is not polite to make such a remark about a lady, especially a royalty at such. Also yes, I am going there, merely made a small visit home to leave some items and check up on this store for any new spells to learn and other books of interest before going on the journey there." Gildor smiled while holding one book in his hands that he had found that seemed interesting and caressed the cover gently to more easily feel the kind of magic hidden within.

"The Red Queen is not my favorite woman in the world. I respect her way she rules her kingdom. As much as I dislike her as a person, she is a great Queen." Seb said begrudgingly. He knew there were things that the Red Queen kept from her people, secrets that could change everything. "What type of magic is that you specialize in?"

"I'm somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades but I think I mostly have fire-based spells if I am not mistaken." Gildor said as he looked deep in thought as he recalled the nature of the spells he had at his disposal. "How about you then? Any specialty or wide variety like me?"

It didn't seem that the conversation was very far along when a pop sounded out on the street. Petronellathora usually didn't announce her arrival in such a manner, being more for startling people, but this was her kingdom, after all, and she needed to ask about her mother. If anything, she needed people to notice her. Which was rather annoying. The few people on the street saw her appear and gave her a wide berth, but she ignored them and opened the first door she came to that was unlocked. The bookstore, holding tomes she had no interest in, had only one person she needed to see. The shopkeeper would be able to tell her where to find her mother. Ignoring the two chattering, she approached him and took out a rolled up paper from her pocket, looking at the man with intensity, but a smile that didn't seem to belong. Her movements were more than a little flourishey, as if she was playing around rather than actually moving. "Greetings," she said to the man. "I have a question if you're willing to answer, and I'm willing to pay for the answer if you need."

Seb stopped what he was about to say when the woman entered the store. He instantly knew who she was, and he wondered why Rumple's daughter would be here. She was a dangerous woman; he liked that. Seb only saw her in passing when he visited her father's home on business, being one of the few people to ever know where the man lived. "Petronellathora, stop scaring the poor man."

Gildor turned to face the new arrival in the store with a smile as he bowed deeply and politely. "Hello m'lady, anything I can be of service with today?"

Petra looked at the two as the spoke, ignoring anything that the shopkeeper might have said in response. She did recognize Seb, but she had no reason to want to talk to him. Unless he could help her. "I am looking for someone," she said, her voice going a little higher pitched, like her father's when he was in a good mood. Her fingers curled and she pointed at Gildor. "M'lady? I like that. Do you know this woman?" She unrolled a picture of her mother, taken from her father's library, and although they wouldn't know that she was her family, they might know who she was.

Gildor softly chuckled as he saw the picture and thought to himself that pretty much anyone in this kingdom knew that woman, very few didn't know their queen. "Of course m'lady, as an ambassador of this kingdom then I work fairly often with the queen and king of our fair kingdom... Why do you seek our queen m'lady, if I may be so bold to ask?"

"Bold you may be, dearie, but I'll be keeping that answer to myself," Petra said, her eyes going to Seb as she spoke. "Father would be interested in hearing what odd company you keep." She let that sit in the air before looking at Gildor once more, her hand doing a quick flourish before her thumbnail rested against her bottom lip. "Queen, is it? And she has a king? Interesting."

"Indeed she has, why would your father be interested in that by the way if I may ask?" Gildor looked slightly confused for a second but quickly returned to his gentle smile as he stood ready to answer any further questions this young lady might have.

Seb chuckled to himself as he realized who the woman's mother was. He had never known, Rumple kept it a very precious secret from others, and now Seb understood why. The queen and king of this kingdom had no children, and he suspected the queen took a tonic so it would remain that way. The queen would never let a spawn of her husband grow within. Therefor, this was a very curious development. This kingdom and the sixth were the only two without heirs, but if Petra really was the queen's child then she'd be the heir to the second kingdom by birth right. Blood was a very powerful thing. "Her father and I are not quite friends, but close acquaintances. It's rare fore me to keep any company to be frank. However, It'd be wise to keep that picture and why you're here more under wraps. I'm afraid when it comes to the Queen the king can be very prickly. It might be best to be discreet and careful if you wish to approach the queen. However, if you like you can accompany us then I can try to fill in some information and help you get close to her."

Gildor nodded as he understood that and without showing, thought of the meaning behind the words. "As for meeting the queen then I should be able to help arrange with that, however must wait until after the meeting with the Red Queen due to the urgency of that meeting, however after then I'd gladly see what I can do to arrange a meeting."

Seb was deeply curious to see this pan out. "I'm afraid my friend here is right. The Red Queen was very admit about our arrival. You should come with us. I believe you'd get along quite well with the Red Queen's huntsman. Nicole would understand your plight well."

Petra stared for a moment at Gildor as if he was some sort of puzzle to be solved before looking at Seb. "I am far less interested in getting close to her and far more interested in knowing who she is," she said smoothly. It wasn't a question of getting close at all. Petra had never had trouble getting close to someone. "Now, dearie, tell me about this meeting with the Red Queen. Why is it so important?"

"I'm honestly not sure what it is even about, but the Red Queen with all her authority is not one to be trifled with when she summons you about important business." Seb said. He had an idea about the contents of the meeting, but he was going to keep that to himself for now. "All the Summons said was it was an urgent matter that could only be discussed in person. AS for that we should be on our way" Seb said as he left for the red palace

Gildor nodded as he looked out the window. "That it did indeed and we really should, it's starting to get fairly late and it's quite a travel ahead, should we meet you here in this town when we get back? If so, where? Or perhaps you'd like to join us as my dear colleague suggested? What do you say m'lady?" He started to turn towards the door but only so he could offer her his arm to lead on to the red palace.

Petra debated ignoring the arm that was offered but took it anyway. "Thank you sir," she said with a little insane smile as they walked towards the Red Palace.

Gildor either ignored or didn't notice the particular way of her smile and lead on to their destination with his usual cheerful demeanor.
