Not really knowing were he needed to go to find Nadya or Gurthar, Sage wandered into the area, his pack and instruments over his shoulders.

Turan looked around, not sure what to make of ending up where he had, or that Roan was a water elemental.

"Please don't hate me." Roan said, trembling from the fear of his anger and the exhaustion the spell had cause. Porter and forced her to do it over and over till she got it right, it was for this ocation she had. "I didn't want to leave him, but...." She feareds for Abarhi, but there wasn't anyway she had the strength to deal with this ball without Turan

Sage looked towards Turan and Roan. He knew that it wouldn't be easy to join their round of friends.

"Why would i hate you Roan? Between Abarhi and Talos i think Malik is undercontrol for the time being" he said looking around and of course i forgot a damned blade....well not like i was expecting this though he kicked himself mentally.

Roan flinched when she felt turna's mental slap at himself. She turnd briefly to whip the one tear from her face. If anything happen to Abarhi Roan didn't know how she'd ever be able to face turan again. Quickly buring her fear she harden herself for her next task. "We have to go see the queen now."

"Lead the way"

Sage came up to them. "Hello, good sir and lady...are you heading to the ball as well...?" he asked softly with a slight bow.

A flash back hit Turan the ball, no, the midwinter ball his mind debated with itself, though he saw no reason why he was so cautious "Yes we are, and you are?"

"Yes...I am...I wish to learn and observe as much as I can for a friend..." Sage said politely.

"Very well, and your name?"

"My name is Sage...I am a traveling bard...." he replied.

This piqued Turans' curiosity all the more, and he was doing little to conceal his noble air, and scant little more his suspiscion "You must be well known from where you come from. What kingdome do you call home?"

"I am not well known, nor do I wish to be...my exsistence has only brought trouble to the ones I knew growing up.... though I do call and assist the Lady Lyenisa of the Phoenix Kingdom, because she has been the only human I have known to show me kindness after finding that I was half human..." Sage said politely. "If you are meaning my manners, in thinking that I was well known...my mother taught me to be polite to all I met..."

"You are a survivor of the hunts?" Turan said softly so that only they could here "No that is not what i meant, but she did teach you well" his mind turned to the upcoming were-hunts.

"I am a survivor of no hunt.... my home village...they hated me for what my father had been...I had never even known him, but they hated me...and the only one that had been kind had been a girl that had been my friend...she loved music just as I do....she was blinded because of me...we had been attacked by some of the men from the village, and they ended up hitting her instead of me....."

Coming up behind Turan, Roan noticed the man. "Sage?" she questioned, recognizing him from before. "What are you doing here? I thought the princess would have you hidden away in these trying times."

Sage bowed to Roan. "She would have, but her friend...the advisor spotted me, and I had to leave.... it wouldn't be good for her if I stayed with it being her father having started the hunt....she knows I didn't want to leave, I had thought I had a place to call home for at least sometime more...."

"Well you are always welcomed then at my home on Diedad island....god knows it's already home to a variety of things already" he said teasingly to Roan. HIs suspiscion ebbed, but curiosty, at least his, never died.

Sage bowed slightly to Turan. "Thank you...thank you for that invitation...."

Roan bashfully elbowed Turan in the side affectionaly. "Don't mind him Sage. His bark is bigger than his bite. However, he is right, you're welcome to stay with us. That is if we survive tonight. From my understanding the queen has something planned, and I'm not so sure it is very pleasant."

Turan shook his head, as if he didn't even feel the elbow, more focused on the sense of forboding that wouldn't leave him alone.

Sage nodded to Roan. "Thank you...and I understand... I don't like heading into an area when many have a feeling of something is wrong...."

Roan, rubbed Turan's arm, feeling his apprehension. "we should get going and say hello to the queen." Taking a breath Roan walked over to were a crowd was standing, at the center stood the queen of Fey.

Turan waited to be spoken to, as was his custom with Royalty "What do you know about her?" he whispered to Roan.

Never taking her eyes off of the queen, Roan answered. "It's rumored that 50 years ago she had an affair with a mage the resulted in a child, which was hidden away from coucil and the world. However, that's about to change."

Turan looked oddly at her, getting a vague sense he wasn't going to like where this was going "And how might that be?" he asked.

Sage stood nearby, watching the scene. He watched and he listened all that was done or said around him, putting it all to memory.

Gurthar held open the door for Nadya "After you" he said softly

Roan grimaced as she answered Turan. "Let's just say that Porter has an agenda that will answer my questions about were i come from, and honestly if it works no one is going to like it." She pointed the man next to the queen. "Look how when those with fey blood glow when they kiss the queen's hand, but when he did it not only did he glow, but he was suddenly surround by a serge of power. If that happens it means that you share the same bloodline as the queen."

He looked at her "you pick the oddest times to do things like this"

Roan flickered a glance at him in annoyence. "What is that suppost to mean."

"I think you're smart enough to know exactly what i mean" he was glad his attire was formal, and that he hadn't really had a chance to fully relax back at the island.

Nadya headed inside, with a soft smile, looking around. "Gurthar...look....Turan and Roan are here.... and look, that must be the queen the way people are acting..."

He placed a hand on he upper arm "Hold on, let's see just exactly what's going on here before we make ourselves to comfortable"

Roan shook her head. "I really don't," then it it hit her, "Oh, you mean all the balls and stuff. He, in reality this stuff is all Porter."

"I resent that." Porter said, appearing in a flood of water. "My plans get things done do they not. One, which your stalling for time Roan. You only have till the end of the harvest moon"

Turan felt the hair on his neck stand on end seeing Porter "Well get on with it, for the time being i'm not one to stop you"

Sage watched Roan carefully, curious as to what was going on. He wanted to know, after having been brought into it all.

Nadya looked up at Gurthar, then nodded. "Alright..."

"Hey, things like this can't be rushed!" Roan cried in outrage. "I've gotten this far haven't I?" In her moment of distraction Roan didn't notice that her yelling had gotten the attention of the queen.

"Is something wrong." The Queen's voice rang through out the banquet hall of trees. "Ah, Porter how nice to see you again. It was a surprise to see the human girl in your place at the council. Turan, a pleasure as always."

"M'Lady" Turan bowed elegantly. It was in things like this that his being a High elf was made evident in decorum. Turan ignored Roan for the moment.

"Titania, your the same as ever. Those complements slash insults of yours still have a sting to them; however, Roan isn't completely human so it all worked out. Plus, Turan here seems to become fond of the girl." Porter instantly saw Turan's actions to alienate Roan, which was a stupid move on his part.

Roan took a breath before she spoke, "It's nice to see you again your majasty."

The queen hid a small smile. The girl was interesting to say the least, especially the special aura she put out. In addition, Titania found it humorous that the great elf was trying to smuther his feelings, his aura was evident of his emotions. "So what brings you to our ball. I belive you are powerless at the moment, Turan. And were is Abarhi?"

"In elemental abilities only lady Titania" he paused "Abarhi was poisoned by an Assasin while acompanying porter on an assignment"

"Ah, well the plot thickens." Titania said. "Well lets get the pleasantries over with so we can all go on and enjoy the ball." She put her hand out for them to kiss it.

Turan bowed again, kissing her hand and stepping aside.

Porter was next to kiss her hand, and a strong glow surrounded her. "Roan don't give me that look. I older than Turan and the Queen so of cource i'd have a strong aura."

Gulping a breath of air Roan took the queen's hand and leaned to kiss it. AS soon as her lips touched the queen's pale skin a huge bright light surrounded the queen and Roan. When the light died down Roan hastily let go of the queen and attached herself to Turan in fear.

"Porter!" The queen yelled, which caused Roan to flinch.

Sage watched, with real interest now. "What was that....?" he whispered to himself.

Nadya looked at Roan with wide eyes, then up at Gurthar, before looking back at Roan.

Turan placed a hand on Roan's shoulder "Well now, that was unexpected" his voice, even toned belied the flurry of activity raging in his mind.

Gurthar blinked at the light "I'm....not entirely sure i know or want to know what that means" he said to Nadya.

"How dare you!" The queen roared at Porter. "You knew who she was from the beginning!" The queen's rage was towards the siren, but her eye never left Roan, who was using Turan's body to hide. "Get her out of here now!"

"Now Titiana calm down, you have the girl petrified." Porter said with a hint of humor. "She's going to claw a whole into Turan's arm. Not that he minds the attention, I'm sure."

"And you wonder why i never trusted you" Turan growled at Porter. He was very rapidly liking the place less and less the more attention that was drawn to them. He saw Nadya, not recognising Gurthar. He looked at Roan "Well now that we've had our bit of fun i think this is enough"

Nadya looked on in worry for her friends, though she didn't leave Gurthar's side.

Looking uncertain and swallowing a lump in her throat Roan attempted to speak. "I can't leave till it's over." She quickly glared at Porter. "you told me she wouldn't be that mad. This is beyond maf, this is completely pissed."

"Watch your tongue." The queen retorted. "No one of royal blood should speak so vulgar."

Turan held back a sigh "You expected her to not be mad? How naive, though you trusted a Siren which was a mistake"

"Turan," Porter warned seriously. "I'd watch your tongue. And Honestly I care mouch for the child, which is why I've done this."

The Queen's anger slighten a bit, but was still great. "You know nothing of what you speak of elf. You do not understand what great things Porter has just done for the girl." She took one more look at Roan before all emotion left her face. "For now enjoy yoursleves, but stay away from my court. Porter you can explain things on your own."

Turan ignored it, he knew enough. The rest he made clear in his posture that he quite simply didn't care for the time being.

Roan pulled on Turan's sleeve. "Lets go say hi to Nadya, I've missed her and this may be the only chance we may see her for a while." In all honesty Roan wanted to put some distance from her and the queen for a bit.

"Very well"

Nadya smiled seeing Roan and Turan turn to look towards her. "Roan...Turan..." she said with a soft smile.

"Nadya!" Roan said affectionally, going to hug the vampire. "I'm so glad to see you." a true smile was on Roan's face.

"You look well Nadya" he turned, surprised to see Gurthar "And Gurthar is it? It's been awhile"

Nadya hugged Roan back. "I'm glad to see you too.... Gurthar has been helping me train in my abilities, and I found out that Ketsuri had some items that belonged to my family...books....and Turan..." she said looking at him. "You and Ketsuri were going to help my family....thank you....for trying...."

"Help your family?" Roan looked up at turan with questions in her eyes. "What is Nadya talking about."

"During the vampire hunts, Ketsuri and i attempted to bring a group of armed soldiers to keep Nadya's family from being hurt. We where ambushed and never got a chance" he said slowly.

Nadya nodded. "Ketsuri told me.... he recognized my ring...my family's crest..."

Gurthar smiled "Where is Abarhi?"

Turan gave him a sharp look "Poisoned, but recovering"

Nadya looked worried. "Abarhi...I hope he will be safe and get better quickly...."

Roan hid a quick flash of guilt. "I'm glad to hear you are finding out more about your family. It seems we both are, I'm just not so sure it's for the best." Roan gazed at the chilly queen.

"Talos is guarding the mansion. You may not know him but for the moment i trust him" Turan said shifting "We ran into Malek before we came here"

Nadya looked at Roan, and then nodded. "I have hope that everything will be okay...."

"Hopefully..." Roan said. She felt a surge of exhaustion over come her, which caused her to waver. "What the..." she said right before she blacked out.

Turan caught her, looking for a quieter place to set her down and wake up "I'm begining to think these aren't coincedental" he muttered.

Gurthar nodded "This isn't the first time?" he followed the elf.

Nadya looked at Roan worried for her. "Turan...what's wrong with Roan?" she asked.

He found an exit to an open air balcony and set her down gently "If i knew i'd see to it that she didnt have to experiance it" he said softly. He placed a hand on her forehead to feel for a fever. He placed a thumb on her wrist to measure the pulse.

Roan was walking down a foggy path, unable to see anything in front or behind her. "Hello is anyone there?" She called out, fear nudging it's way into her gut. "There you are child!" When Roan swirled around she saw the outline of the shape of a women. "I've been searching everywhere for you for days." Roan recognized the voice, but it was to good to be true. "I've been unable to make contact and I had to breach the Griffin God's telepathic powers to get to you before he did." Tears ran down Roan's face as she listened to the woman. "Mother." Roan mumbled through her lips, for all surrounding her in the real world to hear.

Turan gave a start "She'll be fine for now" he sat down in front of the bench

"I had hoped this would have never happen, but I should have known better. My father always did have a tack for causing a mess of things. Either way I need to get you hope now!" Roan's mother said. Roan had been in a paralyzing state; however, hearing her mother was going to take her away broke her out of her state. "NO! I'm not going any where. Tyradias is in trouble, and I can help." Roan was paanicing, causing her to thrash in her body, aching from someones touch. "I'm sure you can, but I left that world for a reason." Roan was going to argue more but suddenly her mother's image was ripped aside. "Noooo!" tear streamed down her face.

Turan jumped again, sighing why does this make me jump? Oh wait i forgot..it's this whole place

Sage come closer, watching with a mix of interest and worry.

Nadya hugged her arms around her, scared for her friend.

"That woman was always a bother." a man said, appearing in the place of her mother. "She always had a tendency to stick her mead where it doesn't belong. However, I must admit I never thought you'd be her daughter. When I sent her away I hadn't known she was with child." Roan was stunnded with fear and emotional over load. "Who are you? And why do you keep appearing in my dreams?" All she could here was the man's laughter. "I told you, I'm the Roc god." Roan shook her head. "No your not!" She said with an authoritative voice. "You my dear are going to make a formidable appointed as you grow. You have two years before the we'll met, but I'll love the challenge." Then the man disappears Roan slowly woke, with tears streaming down her face. She felt emotionally raw, and she could only get one word out of her moth before she completely broke down."Turan...."

Turan simply took her hand in his an gave it a gentle squeeze "right here Roan" he said gently.

"Turan" Roan launched herself at him to sob in his arms. "Why, why, why?!!!" She demanded to know. Why her? Why now? Why so much pain? All she could do was cry, but her break down caused the notice of other, which lead to Porter and the Queen approaching her.

"I had thought the blackouts had stopped." Porter said with worry. "They should have when she under went the Féinfhios. The girl is getting stronger, I don't know what it is." She said in frustration.

Turan steadied himself "I wish i knew Roan" resisting the immidiate urge to set her back down, and wrapping his free arm around her instead. He turned to Porter with a murderous look in his eyes "I don't know why they are still happening, but find out" he said steadily. Roans' throwing herself at him had undone the braid he had his hair in, giving him a perfectly feral look.

Gurthar took a step back, surprised that the usually calm Elf would give vent to such emotion, particularly in front of others.

Nadya knelt beside Turan and Roan, and started to rub Roan's back. "We're here for you Roan...we are..." she said.

"She's been marked." The queen said off to the side. "They are not going to stop until Tyradias's pillars are balance. This goes beyond Corus's little revenge. Tyradias itself is rejecting the pillars, the gods."

"What?" Porter said. "Are you telling me that this girl is..." She stop as it all hit her. "It all makes sense now." She looked down at Roan then back up to the queen. "She's going to have to make a choice, and what ever she chooses she'll need your guidance." Porter shook her head. "Nadya you just might get to find that brother of yours."

Nadya looked up at Porter. "What? Really? You think I may...? I would hope so..."

Turan shook his head in bewilderment "How does her finding her brother have to do with this?"

"Let's just say that he made a deal with the devil himself and now he has to pay up." The queen said. "Turan, take my granddaughter to the inn in the roc kingdom. I'll met you there when i can sneak away. Porter I'll need your help with this."

Turan let go of Roan, he didn't want to trust either but decided he had little choice in the matter. He nodded "Since when did dealing with Deamons become what it would appear to be the norm"

"Turan," Roan whispered. "Please just get me out of here."

"Lets go then" he said quickly "Your Majesty i thank you for the invitation" he inclined his head respectfully.

Nadya looked confused by what Porter had said about her brother as she stood back up. She looked at Gurthar. "Should we go too?"

"We don't have to but if you wish then yes" Gurthar looked from Roan to Turan to the Queen.

Nadya looked at Roan in concern. "Roan's my friend...and my brother is somehow involved...."

"Porter looked at the vampire. "You can do as you wish, but if I hear anything about your brother I'll pass it on to you. Here take this." Porter held out a perfectly round sea shell. "If you look into and call my name you can contact me and I you."

The queen breath slowly. "Porter, are you going to tell the roc god?" she aked.

Turan sighed pacing slightly before realizing he was doing so "Roan are you ready to go?"

Nodding slowly, she whipped her tears then attempted to stand; however, she was like a new colt learning how to stand. A physical numbness was taking over her.

He placed his hand on her shoulder "You able to walk?" he kicked himself for the stupid question.

"A little." She said quietly. She used Turan to hold most of her weight up, but she managed to at least stand.

"Where would you like to go from here?" he asked quietly so that only she could hear.

"Some where safe." She whispered into his ear. Looking at Turan, all she wanted was for him to wrap her in his arms and hold her as she cried her eyes out.

"Turan take her to the inn as the Queen asked." Porter said, she had a hunch he was going to run off with the girl. "When the queen and I meet will met you there later to answer your questions."

"If i wanted your opinion, Siren, i would have asked for them" Turan snapped "And as for questions, i'll do my own digging thank you"

Gurthar looked on in surprise "This could be interesting"

Roan just closed her eyes and sighed. She just wanted everyone to stop, a nice quite place with a fire and cider.

Porter narrowed her eyes, "Even if you hurt Roan more than she all ready has. Look at her, Turan. Right now she is numb and could care less about anything. She's hurt, sad, angry, and in a lot of pain! do what's best for her!"

Turan halted, a brief but distant look came over him. He shivered slightly before composing himself, tying his hair back into its' braid "As i said before Porter, if i wanted your opinion i would have asked for it. I am neither dumb nor blind, i know she is in pain, which is why we are leaving" he felt like he was being burned not this, of course...the blue moon, and once again i ignored it...

"Watch yourself elf. Even you have your limits". The queen said. "We all care for the girl so be reasonable. I promise she'll be safe there. Also it's a quiet place she can rest."

in your own way will i haunt you, till rage consumes you he fought the voice down, one of his eyes' veins began to turn blood red, this to he fought back "Despite what you think, with all do respect your majesty you know very little if anything about me" he continued walking

Sage started to follow Roan and Turan, holding on to his pack tightly.

Nadya looked at Gurthar, taking his hand, her other hand holding the seashell. "Let's go with them..." she said.

The queen thoughtful looked at the elf as he walked away. "Porter, do you know what he is?"

The Siren sighed. "Yes, but i don't think he has hundered percently realized. Oh, well. I do believe he wont harm Roan, and that what ever does happen with him will be learning experience for the girl."

Roan leaned on turan, not sating a word. If her her mother was from Tyradias then was her father really dead?

"Do i know what i am?" He turned around slowly "A High Elf fire element, the last of his family line Siren. Nothing more" a childs laughter echoed in his mind do even know what you are saying? Do you truely know what you are, yes yes on that day what did you do?

Gurthar nodded "Very well" he bowed to the Queen and Porter.

Porter shook her head, "Oh, you poor man. Enjoy love while you can."

Turan gave a start you made a promise once before that you could not keep...you remember me don't you? the image of a bloodied, blonde haired woman appeared in his head why do you run? What has she done to earn your animosity? he shivered as the image dissipated brutally, shaking it off and heading for the Roc tavern

After bowing to the queen, Nadya followed after Turan holding Gurthar's hand.

Turan placed a hand reflexively on his head What? no where an what are you talking about? Roan? no!

Gurthar leaned down to Nadya "Nadya, what's wrong with him?" he asked so only she could hear

Nadya whispered back. "I...I don't really know.... all I know is that he doesn't remember all of his life, and that he lost his family in a very brutal way..."

"Don't worry about him Nadya." Porter said. "Men have a hard time admitting when there wrong, and when they di even a harder time forgiving them selves. However, right now he needs to get over himself and help Roan before she goes into a depression. Only he can help her right now."

Nadya nodded. She looked at Gurthar. "Let's go..." she said softly.

"Porter." the queen roared. "Fix this."

"Yay, yay. I will." Porter disappeared in a clowd of smoke.
