Here he is! Safe and sound!
Bob and I about to browse Elftown on a nice lazy morning.
A little portion of neighborhood and valley taken sitting in my car--we wouldn't dare go outside in the heat!
No Bob (was was sitting by the air conditioner on the ride home), but a good look at our main road.
Whoa! A little close! ^^' The real valley can be seen in the background here...
...and here too. A better picture. Most of the "green" is not natural for this area--just lucky trees that can manage most of the time. My house is right on the edge of that green.
A nice little sunset that we just missed by a couple minutes in the west over the nearby hills. We tried to chase it a little ways but it was too late.
Independence Day! Bob spent most of the day partying with us, watching movies and setting off fireworks! He didn't stay too long outside though--all those sparks were making him nervous :o
A couple days after the Fourth, temperatures skyrocketed to OVER 110 F for an entire week! :O (Actually, our thermometer is off that time of day, so it was really closer to 115 F, or about 46 C) Bob decided to spend the rest of his time indoors instead.
Thankfully, a little storm blew in with a 40mph gale that cooled it down for a couple days :D We almost saw a good thunderstorm--2008-07-14 [moira hawthorne]: woooooooot!!! wonderful photos! ahhhhhh yes... I remeber what there looks like!

2008-07-14 [Nite_Owl]: Well I'm glad I did good :D I was worried that the pics wouldn't be too great compared to yours. That trip up the mountain was awesome. But I almost managed to get a desert sunset in :D Close enough!

but all in all i think that bob is having a great time, and also we all are too getting to participate in this...it is cool traveling the world through pics!

i have yet to be as far south as sydney nor as far north as cairns, but i hear they are beautiful as well
well as richard has said, if anyone is wanting to come by for visit, you all are always welcome where we are... we have a few spare beds! lol
