Booda Clean Step Litter Mat for Cats review

My husband and I have two cats, a chubby Siamese named Brillo and a sleek, black cat named Gollum. Because both of our cats are rather finicky about where they will go to the bathroom, we have several litter boxes set up around out house. We also have a few different types of litter boxes, one of them being a Booda Litter Box. For that particular litter box, we have the Booda Clean Step Litter Mat for Cats.

The Booda Clean Step Litter Mat for Cats works wonderfully in keeping pieces of cat litter off and out of our carpeting. Before we purchased the Booda Clean Step Litter Mat for Cats, my husband and I were constantly stepping on cat litter even in rooms where we do not keep litter boxes. At that point, we knew that it was time to make sure that each litter box around our home had a litter mat beneath it. 

The Booda Clean Step Litter Mat for Cats is a 14”x15” mat that is made out of plastic vinyl. The Booda Clean Step Litter Mat for Cats has tons of little ridges on the surface of the mat that help to remove litter from cats’ paws as they step on the mat, and then the ridges help to keep the litter on the mat instead of in our carpeting.

My husband scoops the litter boxes several times each day, and whenever he does this, he picks up the Booda Clean Step Litter Mat for Cats and dumps the litter that is on it back into the litter box. Whenever our cats’ litter boxes get cleaned, we also clean the Booda Clean Step Litter Mat for Cats, which is easy to sanitize with soap and hot water.

Even though the Booda Clean Step Litter Mat for Cats traps most of the litter from the cats’ paws, it does not trap all of it. Hubby and I still find bits of litter all around the house, but sometimes litter gets trapped in areas of cats paws that doesn’t allow the litter to fall out or off easily. Despite this, we still love our Booda Clean Step Litter Mat for Cats and are happy that it has cut down on the amount of litter that we find in our carpeting these days.

For only $7.99, the Booda Clean Step Litter Mat for Cats was a great buy. I do recommend this product for all cat owners who would like to find less litter in their carpeting.
