Veltzeh's reading list
I wonder if it's normal that I want to translate all English books I read.
I can't remember right now who recommended
Bone Dance to me. I spent years trying to find the book in an online store or a local book store, but just couldn't find it. Then, finally, I found it in a Finnish online bookstore that I thought would most certainly not have it. I'm glad I was wrong.
I got the book about a year ago, but got around reading it only now. I've just finished reading it and didn't bother to write about my experiences while reading, which was sort of dumb, but I guess I just rather read the book. Maybe I'll reread it one chapter at a time and write about the experience then.
The one who recommended the book to me told me about one scene in the book.
The scene is the one where Sparrow feels two other people having sex in the next room. I noticed the scene, but it mostly raised questions. All in all, I noticed I had a lot of questions while I read the book, but I can't tell if the book was difficult for me or if I've just learned to ask those questions.
I felt a considerable language barrier, which irked me.
I think I can't not like the book because of the main character, but I wonder if there's anything else for me to like, except that it is a good book. I suspect there is because I feel like it, but I'm very subjective at the moment.
