Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Singleplayer review
With people raaaaaaving about how great Half Life 2 is and all. I go meh. They say the story is great and all that jazz, but that game hasn't had a new friggin gun since Half Life 1 (the gravity gun doesn't count and I barely use it as a weapon anyway). It doesn't even have a dedicated sniper rifle! It features linear gameplay and boring characters.
Enter Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 1. Intense, difficult gaming with a riveting story that almost had me in tears at the end :P. It spiced up the average gameplay with interesting scenarios and viewpoints. I also had a beastly multiplayer career in that game, with 4882 kills and 2373 deaths. But my goal was a 2:1 ratio, and after getting that, I stopped.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is an awesome game. With modern weapons and technology it feels very lifelike (the picture is a missile launched by a Predator UAV, death from above!). The story is pretty interesting and is full of more twists than well...Anythin
g! Some parts made me go wtf :( and others noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I became very attached to the characters. Well, after fighting your way through a military base, climbing a mountain, sneaking through the woods, an oil rig, etc. I did. The only bad thing is the game is pretty short. I finished it in a day. But it kept me interested enough to finish it in one setting. With a report due the next day._.
Note that this is a single player review only. The multiplayer for PC has many problems with it. Mainly regarding how it's a console-style multiplayer matchmaking system which means lag and fail >:(
