AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH
This got too big. My computer can't cope. I really wanted to extend it, so the composition was better balanced and it wasn't so crowded, but i wasn't able to put enough paint down because of the overloaded processing etcetera... On that subject, Please fullview. A lto of the detail comes off a LOT better.
This also meant I couldn't face trying to paint the background. Really needs something though, so I may try.
Still, twice the size my old computer managed to reach >.>
(It got this big because I kept adding bits as I painted)
2. Yes, this is the 'finished' (bearing in mind the above frustration ;P ) version
The 'study piece' was me experimenting on lighting etc, and colour combinations. Also, I had originally intended to paint more skulls and wanted to see what they looked like.
Our internet was disconnected ALL day today (plasterer visiting) so I painted for a few hours...
Total time on this, and last night, and on the study piece
...Uuuum, ten hours? :D
3. Ugh, yeah, the middle got all complicated and tangled. I really do like the hair, though.
And the sort of dual-view point. The winged finger in the centre versus to cloaked figures.
4. Snakes and birds! Relevant. Sorta >.>
Shamans and gods and dream-things. Originally thinking of Gaiman's Dream (and his helmet), then wandering towards mythological, then skulls and feathers... a sacrifice, an avatar called up, a priest.
