Neutral Ground/Fighting Ground
Siren walked along the railing, stepping over a rust board. She looked around, the nightman was asleep. She smiled,
Perfect! Now I can finally get Sarah and Sally.
Artemis climbed over the railing and over to Siren, stumbling a bit because of the dark. “I think this is the
wrong ship, Siren!” she hissed.
Siren looked back at her sister, “Well what ship is it then?”
Artemis leaned over the side, squinting, her eyes barely able to read the name in the night, “It says this is the Redemmer.”
Siren looked around, “Then let’s go before someone sees us!”
Someone was watching them, chuckling to herself. "Those idiots..."
Siren sighed, "We have to find the Black Rose and soon. Before sunrise and then we can have those bloody pirates!"
Artemis looked around and heard someone chuckle. She slapped a hand over Siren's mouth, and saw someone in the shadows. "Show yourself Pirate!" she called out, her eyes narrowed.
The tall woman walked out, her eyes smirking. "Well well, what are two navy dogs doing on my ship?"
Siren grinned, "Well...While I'm here, I might as well take you in."
Artemis moved to stand behind her sister in case she should need her. She sighed,
Well it's too bad someone won't stop her. Siren always gets distracted by either Sarah+Sally or some guy. She leaned against the railing, her eys closed.
The captain drew her swords, both of them very long and shiney. "You can't take me without a fight. And besides, your outmatched." she smirked.
The helmsman yawned, twirling his gun on his finger boredly.
Artemis sighed agian and opened her eyes, she saw the woman draw swords. She looked at Siren,
Too bad those won't work on her. She knows too much about Karate and how to make her body a weapon. I better step in. She made a move to step twoard Siren.
Siren looked at her sister, "No Artemis, I can handle this wench." She smirked.
Artemis narrowed her eyes, "We don't have any authority to take her in. Only those of the Black Rose; this ship isn't a consern of the Navy right now. Sarah is causing to much chaos, we need to take her in for a sudden drop and short stop."
Siren laughed, her sister never could actually say the word "hanging". "After, I finish with her," she turned back to the captain and took out a fan, smirking.
The captain smirked. "I don't wish to fight, but I will if oyu do not leave my ship."
A girl with black hair flipped over the edge and onto one of Marissa's swords. She stood up and winked at Siren and Artemis, "Hey Captain!" she gave them a mock salute.
Siren growled slightly, "SALLY!!"
Artemis stepped forward and threw a dagger at Sally.
Sally dodged it and blocked the dagged with her cane from hitting someone else.
Artemis narrowed her eyes, "Your under arrtest for treason."
Siren moved so that she was near the staircase.
Sally stood back up straight, laughing, "Yeah that's if you landlovers can catch me!" She grinned.
"Now, now Sally, play nice. We like these navy dogs," a voice came from the ship that pulled up next to the Redemmer.
Sally looked over, "Nice to see you up, Captain."
Siren growled, "Sarah...."
Sarah stepped up onto the railing, smirking, "Hello Siren. Nice to see too."
Siren glared at Sarah.
Artemis shifted her eyes back from Sally to Marissa and back, watching both of them. She had no idea that Nathaniel was somewhere behind her. She took out another dagger, and raised her arm to throw it.
Nathaniel's gun was to the back oof Artemis' head before she could throw it. "Not so fast, love..."
Artemis dropped the dagger, her eyes narrowed. "I'm not your 'love'. Bloody pirate," she muttered.
Siren looked back at Artemis, knowing that she could handle it. "Your mine, Sarah."
Sarah smirked, "Come on then love. Let's see what you've got."
Siren growled and lunged at Sarah, knocking her off the railing, the fog swallowing them.
Sally stepped off of Marrisa's sword, "Sorry about that." She smiled, putting her cane over her shoulder.
Marissa bowed her head as a greeting. "Its fine..."
Nathaniel smirked. "I meant it as a greeting... I'd never be caught with a navy dog."
Artemis turned around, "Then remove your gun from my head and don't call me a navy dog! You don't even know why I'm in the navy and unlike my sister, I could care less about what you pirates do, unless you hurt someone innocent." She narrowed her eyes.
Sally grinned, "Alrighty," she held out her hand, "Name's Sally, First mate for the Black Rose."
Marissa shook her hand. "I'm Marissa. Captain of this ship, The Redeemer."
Nathaniel removed his gun slowly. "I've never hurt anyone..."
Sally smiled, "Nice to meet you." She looked over at Artemis and then back to Marissa, "One sec." She flipped backwards and landed behind Artemis, her eyes narrowed but still grinning, "Playing nice with the pirate?"
Artemis turned back around, "You know I don't care what you do Sally. Just stay away from Siren and she won't trouble you."
Sally stopped grinning, "That's where you're wrong, Artemis. Siren wants all pirates dead or put away for life." She looked Artemis up and down, "but you...you're different. You don't care one way or another what we do. Taking treasure, rum, prisoners...." On the last word, she looked up at her.
Artemis narrowed her eyes on the word prisoner. "Who do you have?"
Sally smirked, "No one...just know how you feel abou the whole hostage thing. Just found out myself. Shame you never told Siren about it." She smirked and flipped back up to Marrisa.
Bj roamed around not knowing what to do. His hands were deep in his blue jean pockets. He kept his head down so he watched the ground as he walked.
Amelia saw BJ roaming around. She ran over to him like a hyper child. "Hi." She said cheerfully.
Coi was sitting on the navy ship, reading a small book.
Siren landed on the deck of the Black Rose.
Sarah flipped herself back up and swung her sword at Siren.
Siren blocked it and aimed a kick at Sarah.
Sarah ducked and punched Siren in the stomach.
Siren kneed Sarah in the face.
Sarah threw Siren over back to the Redemmer and yelled for Sally, "Let's go!"
Sally nodded and ran and lept over to the edge to the Black Rose. "See you Navy dogs when you think you can track us!" She grinned widely.
Bj looked up at Amelia. "Umm. Hello." He said quietly. He pulled out a ciggerette and put it in his mouth. He tended to do that whenever he got shy or nervous.
Amelia smiled and held out her hand. "I'm Amelia Rose. But you can call me Amelia."
John had watched Chlieo dive head first into the water from a peer, the closest one to a ship not under the influence of the Navy. He watched her tread water until she got her bearings; a smile creapt its way across his face.
She's so strange, I sometimes doubt we have the same mother, he thought, and with long strides, found himself on the main dock and moved along that until he came upon BJ and Amelia. He stopped as the two made it almost impossible to manuver around them without pushing one or the other off, into the Caribbean waters.
BJ looked at Amelia. "I'm Bj." He said with a slight bow.
Amelia smiled and blushed as he bowed. "What ship are you from?"
John looked between the two. He was vaguely reminded of high school sweethearts. He neglected to clear his throat, wondering just how long it'd take for either of the two to realize he was standing there.
Siren threw herself over the edge and onto the small rowboat and back to the navy ship. SHe crawled over the edge and bumped into John, "Ow, why are you still standing there?" She looked up at him.
Bj noticed Siren leaving. He looked down at her then back at Amelia. He quickly realized that they were from two different sides. He was navy and she was obviously a pirate. He saw John standing there and quickly moved.
Johnny saw Amelia. "There you are." He said walking up to her. "Who is this?" He asked looking at Bj.
"His name is Bj." Amelia answered Johnny.
Siren looked at all of them, "What's going on here?" she demanded.
Bj looked at Siren. "Nothing. Nothing at all."
Amelia looked at Bj then at Siren then back at Bj. "Are you with- Your one of- Oh my!" She said not knowing what to do but realized Bj was her enemy.
Siren looked at Amelia and realized she was a pirate, "Get off my ship and no one will arrest you."
Johnny walked over to Amelia and picked her up. "You really need to stop getting into trouble." He carried her off the ship back onto their rowboat.
Siren looked around, "Shit...I left Artemis on that pirate ship." She held her stomach and limped over to the edge.
Bj sighed and watched Amelia and Johnny leave.
Chlieo had climbed the side of the Redeemer, having pulled herself up from a rope hanging off the side. She'd been swimming.
Careless, she thought to herself and once she reached the railing, she simply held herself there, her eyes barely over the floorboards.
Well, well, she thought.
So this isn't the Black Rose. Well, might as well have a look-see. She pulled herself over the railing and found herself sitting on the opposite side Artemis, Nathaniel, Sally, and Marissa were standing. She leaned her head to her left side as her hands held the railing she sat on, mostly for balance, and watched, waiting to see if anyone noticed her, a 'Navy dog' as pirates so nicely describe her and her piers, on an obviously pirate ship.
Artemis leaned over and picked up her dagger. She stood up, ignoring Nathaniel. She frowned slightly and turned back around. She started walking, but bumped into him. She looked up, "Sorry," she muttered, not knowing what else to say to a pirate, and made a move to go around him. She really didn't want to go back and face her sister or the navy crew.
Natheniel smiled softly. "Its alright."
Artemis looked up at Natheniel, "You're too nice to be pirate."
Nathaniel smiled and shrugged. "Hey, thats just how I am..."
"The pirates I have to deal with are...well mean, too put it lightly," Artemis smiled, something she rarely did.
Nathaniel grinned stupidly. "I don't have a mean bone in my body!"
"Hey,"Carmen walked upto Nathaniel."Are you the helmsmen?"
Nathaniel turned to her and nodded. "Why yes, yes I am..."
Artemis immediatly put back on her mask when she heard someone else come up. She looked from Nathaniel to Carmen and back at Nathaniel.
Why did I smile? Especially to a pirate? And opening up? What's happening to me?, she thought as she turned to walk to the railing. She bumped into Nathaniel's back, "I have to stop doing that," she muttered, after she fell back onto her lower back.
Nathaniel smiled and held out his hand to her. "You alright?"
Artemis sighed, "I'm fine." She still had the mask on her face and her glance turned to Carmen for a moment before looking back at Nathaniel. She took his hand.
Nathaniel grinned and helped her up.
When Nathaniel pulled her up, he tugged too hats and Artemis went flying into him, She looked up and saw how close his face was to hers and her mask broke for a moment and a blush crawled across her cheek bones, "Umm...." she couldn't find anything to say.
Nathaniel smiled nervously and scratched the back of his head. "Sorry bout that..."
"Umm..yeah," Artemis stood back up straight.
I better get away from this guy. There's something about him that just makes me feel like I did....No, don't go there Artemis! You can't be a pirate, not again, she thought. She glanced back up at Nathaniel, the blush still on he face. Her long black hair blew with a passing breeze, she tucked it back behind her ear.'
Nathaniel smiled down at her and tilted his head to the side curiously.
Artemis saw that Nathaniel was looking at her and she quickly looked away and walked to the railing, this time sidestepping him. She leaned agianst it, and deeply breathed in the sea air, smiling softly. Her eyes closed.
Nathaniel shrugged and walked over to a box on the deck and started rummaging through it.
Camren tapped his shoulder."Hell
loooo..."
Nathaniel turned around, a bottle of whiskey in his hand. "Hello!"
Carmen smiled."Hand me a bottle please."She cracked her knuckles
Nathaniel smiled and handed her a bottle.
Carmen smiled and opened the the bottle and drank
Nathaniel grinned and chuckled, taking his own.
"Ahh..Refreshing.So,your the ehlsman I've heard so much about,eh?"Carmen asked.
Nathaniel nodded. "Yup!"
Carmen bowed."I'm Carmen.Captain Marrisa's first mate."
Nathanniel blinked. "...Really??"
Carmen smiled."Yup.Me and Marrissa have been best friends since waaaayy back."
Artemis climbed onto the railing of the Redeemer and looked down at the sea.
NAthaniel looked warily over at Artemis, making sure that she didnt fall off.
Artemis leapt over the edge and into the dark ocean.
Nathaniel tied a rope to himself that was connected also to the rail and jumped in after her.
Artemis resurfaced and started to swim out into the ocean. Her eyes looking out at the horizon.
Nathaniel resurfaced behind her and grabbed her around the waist. "Are you alright?"
Artemis growled, "Let me go!" She struggled a bit.
Carmen looked over and jumped down, swimming after them."Hey!You two okay!"Come on!"She grabbed the rope she connected to the railing
Artemis spat out some water, "I'm fine! IF you're helsman will let go of me!" She brushed some of her wet hair out of her face.
Nathaniel kept his arm around her. "You shouldn't swim in these waters... shark infested they are..."
"I can handle a few sharks, " she paused, "I've handled more than that." She looked down into the water.
Nathaniel sighed and reluctantly let her go. "Just be careful...."
Artemis turned around, "You ever hear of Captain Black?" She smirked, "That's me. So I can handle myself."
Nathaniel blinked. "I've never heard of Captain Black..."
"I have."Carmen said."Now comeon.you'll catch hypotherimia."She grabbed them both and started climbing the rope.
Artemis dove back into the water and swam in the direction of the navy ship. Something pulled her under water.
Nathaniel growled and got out of Carmen's grasp and dove under the water, grabbing a hold of Artemis.
Artemis gasped as she cam eout of the water, she looked down at her side. It looked like she had been biten by a shark. She looked up at Nathaniel, "Guess you were right."
"Are you ok?" Narcissa asked.
Artemis looked up, smiling a little, "I'm fine. I've had worse taken out of me."
Nathaniel growled and stabbed a shark in the snout with his dagger. "Damn bastards..."
Artemis grabbed Nathaniel's hand and kicked the shark in the lower belly. It swam away. She looked up at him, "That's where they most vunerable." She was slightly out of breath.
"That and the nose. You hit them there they will leave." Narcissa said watching the shark swim away.
Artemis looked up, "That's true." She looked down, "We better get out of the water before the blood attracts more of them."
"Um right. I think I like my body the way it is." Narcissa went to help Artemis.
Nathaniel looked back at the Redeemer and sighed. "I can't swim that distance..."
"I can." Naracissa pulled Nathaniel over to her and Artemis. "Stay here with her and I will go and get a life boat." Narcissa started to swim back over to the ship.
Carmen growled."I hate idiots."The got into a life boat and lowered it,rowing over to them."Get your asses in before I let the sharks have you."She glared
Narcissa pulled herself in and then yelled to Nathaniel. "Over here."
Nathaniel helped Artemis into the boat before climbing in himself.
"Go!" Narcissa yelled. "We got to get her to the ship."
"SHUTUP!"Carmen barked."This is a row boat not a full blown shit damnit!!"
Artemis glanced at the water, "I need to get to my ship. If you can get within twenty feet, I can swim the rest." She looked up at Carmen.
Nathaniel glared at Carmen. "You better make it go as fast as you can... shes injured! And you." he said, looking down at Artemis. "Dont you dare try and swim in your condition."
Artemis laughed softly, "I've done worse, trust me." She looked up at him, "Why are you so concerned about a navy dog like me anyway?" She smiled.
"Because navy dog or not, you're still human...."Carmen glared and started rowing tword Artemis's ship."And if you don't shutup Im throwing you all to the sharks..."She growled
"No you won't." Narcissa barked. "She has had enough of sharks for one day. Now can you go faster? She is going to bleed to death."
Artemis reached down and tugged out her shirt, she took it off. She had a white tank top underneath, and ripped the top shirt into strips and wrapped it around her torso. "There, that'll stop bleeding." She looked up and saw her ship.
Carmen growled at herself and stopped rowing."If you want to die,I'll go faster.."She hissed at Narcissa.
Artemis stood up and slowly walked to the edge of the rowboat and dove in. She swam toward her ship.
"No come back!" Narcissa yelled. "Oh it is no use."
Artemis grabbed a rope that was on the edge of the ship and climbed up and over the railing. She turned to the row boat, "Thank you," she called out. She walked to the front of the ship and picked up a female, it was Siren, her sister, who had fallen asleep. She nodded to them and walked down below.
Carmen stared at her and sighed."Now both of you shutup so we can get back to the ship."She started rowing back to the Redeemer
Artemis placed her sister in a bed and covered her with blankets. She walked back up onto the deck and watched Carmen row them back to the Redeemer. She waved good-bye to Nathaniel.
"Hey.You have a secret admirier."Carmen grinned at Nathaniel.
"Just you need." Narcissa elbowed Nathaniel playfully.
"I'm jelous.I really am."Carmen chuckled
Nathaniel waved back to her and sighed. "Too bad shes part of the Navy..."
"Man I am too." Narcissa leaned back on her hands. "Man love sucks."
Nathaniel sighed sadly. "It does it does..."
"Well I want to go back to the ship, and get back to port." Narcissa yawned.
"Are you both deaf?I said quiet."
Nathaniel smirked. "Why don't you make me?"
Narcissa laughed. "Someone woke up on the wrong side this morning."
Carmen took out her gun and pointed it at Narcissa."Don't force me to kill you.And you..."She looked at Nathaniel up and down."Hm...perhaps I will.."
Narcissa pulled out her gun as well. "Lets see who is faster."
Carmen rolled her eyes and put back the gun."I don't feel like fighting halfwits.Marrissa is waiting for me."She sighed softly
"You would know your own kind." Narcissa said under her breath as she put her gun away.
"I heard that."Carmen glared at her from the corner of her eye and rowed her way next to the Redeemer, grabbing the ropes and connecting them to the boat, then started pulling them up."Dont bother helping me..."
"Don't worry I won't." Narcissa snapped.
"Don't make me kill you..Your annoying."Carmen gave her a sharp glare
"No we all ready played that game. And you lost." Narcissa grabed one of the ropes and started to pull.
"I said don't help!"Carmen growled."I don't like people helping me!"
"Well tuff." Narcissa continued to pull. "The faster we can get to the ship the faster I get away from you."
Carmen held back the urge to kick Narcissa, but kept pulling, silent.
"Oh by the way." Narcissa was talking to Nathaniel more than Carmen. "People call me Cissa or Cissy."
"To bad.I'm calling your Narci."Carmen barked.
"Ok whatever you please." Narcissa wasn't going to press the matter.
Carmen locked the small boat into place and jumped off, wringing her clothes off the water."Damn.."
Narcissa swang her leg over the ship and pulled herself up. "Whats wrong?"
"I'm all wet.."Carmen shook off the water.
Narcissa rolled her eyes and didn't say what she wanted to.
Carmen looked around."Oi!Marissa!Where ye be?"
Nathaniel walked up to the wheel and took it from Marissa.
Marissa looked down at Carmen and smiled. "Up here!"
Carmen climbed one of the ladder, then jumped to Marissa.
Marissa caught her and spun her around, laughing.
Narcissa looked up. "Now that we are done resucing people can we go to Tortuga?"
Carmen gave Marissa a kiss on the lips."Oh I have missed you~"
Bj wandered around boredly.
Artemis jumped off the boat and onto the island along with a few of her crew mates. She wandered off into the dense jungle. She saw someone ahead, "Jamil?"
Jamil looked up, "Captain? Is that you?" He grinned widely. He walked over and swung her around.
Artemis laughed as he put her down, "Yeah, it's me. What are you doing here of all places?"
Jamil shrugged, "Got bored after you left for the navy. So been wandering around." He got an idea and a sly smile came onto his face, "Come to Tortuga with me!"
Artemis looked back at her crew, "I couldn't," She turned to look at Jamil, "I shouldn't..." She sighed, "But I will!" She smiled widely, laughing.
Jamil picked her up bridal style and ran off to his ship and boarded, "To Tortuga!"
Artemis laughed, "Well let's go already!"
Jamil laughed loudly, "So what have you been up to?"
The ship headed out into the sea, the Redeemer not to far in the distance.
Artemis looked up, laughing. "What ship is that?" she pointed to the Redemmer.
Jamil shrugged his shoulder, "Don't know. I'll find out." HE headed up to the wheel, where the Captain was and gestured toward the ship. HE walked back down the stairs and over to Artemis, "It's the Redemmer, and we seem to be getting close. I think they're allies of ours. Why?"
Artemis grinned, "Siren and I were on there last night."
Jamil chuckled, "Funny, well you get another chance at a second impression. This time as a pirate." He smiled.
Artemis narrowed her eyes playfully, "I'm not a pirate, not yet anyway." She smiled.
Jamil laughed, "Of course you're not."
Artemis slugged him in the shoulder, glaring softly.
Jamil laughed, "Still strong, eh Captain?"
Artemis smirked, "Look, their coming up." She saw that the ship she was on was pulling up along side the Redemmer.
Artemis climbed up onto the railing, holding a rope so she wouldn't fall over. "Permission to board?"
Jamil appeared beside her, "Aye!"
Artemis laughed, smiling.
Artemis looked down to Jamil, "Doesn't seem like anyone's above deck."
Jamil grinned, "Prefect chance to look around then." He swung himself over onto the deck of the Redemmer and walked around.
"Get back here," Artemis hissed, "Before someone sees you. LIke your captain."
Jamil shrugged, "So I'll join a new crew." He smirked, "The only way you're gonna get me off is to come get me."
Artemis frowned a little and hopped down onto the desk as well. She walked over to Jamil, and latched her hand around his wrist, "Let's go." SHe turned to go.
Jamil smirked and pulled Artemis back to him. He picked her up bridal style again, and spun around. He chuckled.
"Put me down!" Artemis laughed as well. She smiled.
Jamil put her down, his arm around her shoulders. He grinned and looked up and saw Marissa, "Oh hello!" He waved.
Artemis sheilded her eyes with her hand and saw Marissa as well, "Hello again, Captiain!" SHe smiled.
Marissa looked at them and smiled. "Hello you two."
Nathaniel was at the wheel, looking extremely bored.
Jamil grinned widely, "Nice to see you again, Marissa!" He walked up the stairs, carrying Artemis.
Artemis sighed, she knew better than to try and get away from Jamil. He would just pick her up again.
Jamil put her down, smiling. He walked over to MArissa, "So how are you?"
Artemis turned and saw Nathaniel. She smiled softly and walked over, "So, enjoying yourself?"
Marissa shrugged. "As good as I can... you?" she smiled.
Nathaniel snorted. "Yeah..."
Jamil grinned, he looked back at Artemis, "I'm better. Found my old captain." HE grinned wider.
Artemis stepped close to Nathaniel, "Think you can teach me? I may have been a captain but I never touched the wheel. Jamil did that." She gestured to Jamil and smiled widely at Nathaniel.
Marissa smiled. "Thats a good thing."
nathaniel smiled and moved over a bit. "Put your hands where mine are."
Carmen whimpered."I hate it when people ignore me.."She sighed and walked to the railing, leaning over and staring at the water.
Jamil grinned at Marissa, "Yeah, now all we have to do is get our crew and Nephtune's Brides."
Artemis smiled and nodded, "Ok." She walked a bit closer and placed her hands on top of his, she looked up at him, "Like this?"
Jamil smirked and walked over to Artemis, leaning down and whispered in her ear, "You always have your hair up. Why not down?" He smirked.
Artemis couldn't see his smirk, "Well...it's just too long to have down, I guess."
Jamil reached up and gave a small tug to her hair clip, he grinned and stepped back, as she was speaking.
When Artemis finshed speaking, she felt her hair tumble down to the middle of her back. She gasped, "Jamil!" She galred at him.
He continued to grin widely, "Now that looks better, Captain." HE walked back over to Marisaa., "And as I was saying, yeah Nephtune's Bride is all we really have to find. The crew will come right back to Artemis."
Artemis sighed, "Jamil is always doing that..." She looked back up at Nathaniel.
Marissa smirked. "Where do you think it is?"
Nathaniel chuckled. "Hes got a point, It looks nice down."
Jamil shrugged his shoulder and placed his hands behind his head. "Black is usually the only who knows anything about that ship."
Artemis stuck her tounge out at Nathaniel and turned back to the wheel, "Bite me, pirate." She looked out at the horizon.
Jamil glanced up and saw Artemis looking at the horizon and Nathaniel standing behind her. He smirked, WOnder what's going on there.
"Dont tempt me..." Nathaniel mumbled.
Marissa was thinking the same thing, chuckling to herself.
Jamil looked back to Marissa, "So dod you mind if we stay on your ship until you go to Tortuga?"
Artemis looked back to Nathaniel, "Ok, I know that I'm doing something wrong. Now what is it?" She laughed lightly, smiling.
Marissa shook her head. "Nah, not at all. I get a lot of stowaways..."
Nathaniel chuckled. "Just hold the wheel and make sure not to hit a rock."
Jamil grinned, "Well I was a stowaway on Captain's ship, but she let me become part of the crew." HE looked back at Artemis and back to Marissa. He put his arms back down, still grinning.
Artemis laughed, "Ok, but how can I hold an entire ship by myself?"
Nathaniel chuckled. "Its easy."
Marissa chuckled. "Thats what I usually do."
Jamil grinned, "Yeah, she threw the rest of them over board. Made them walk the plank."
Artemis looked up at NAthaniel, over her shoulder, "Yeah, easy for you to say." She smiled.
Marissa blinked. "Thats not very nice... I only do that when they commit treison."
Nathaniel chuckled and let og of the wheel, letting her take the wheel.
Jamil laughed, "I guess I left out some details. Captain only did that beacuse they all were murders on the run. Captain didn't want anything to do with them, so she had them walk the plank and they swam to an island where the navy usually goes. She's a smart one, that Black."
Artemis laughed, "OK, it's easier than I thought." Artemis got an idea, she smirked inwardly. "Oh no!" She let the whell turn slightly, causing the ship to turn.
Marissa nodded. "I've heard. AND NATHANIEL, FOR GOD'S SAKE, KEEP THE SHIP STRAIGHT!"
Nathaniel meeped and grabbed the wheel, straightening it out. "Sorry Capt!
Jamil laughed loudly, "Yup, most definatly a smart one, Captain."
Artemis meeped as well, "Sorry!" She blushed, Nathaniel was right behind her. She looked forward, the blushe growing on her face.
Marissa sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "That Nathaniel is going to be the death of me..."
Nathaniel sighed and chuckled. "Thats why you never let go of the wheel..."
Jamil just laughed, "That wasn't Nathaniel..." He grinned.
Artemis looked at NAthaniel, "I didn't let go of the wheel, you did." She laughed softly.
Marissa sighed again.
Nathaniel blinked. "YOU had your hands on it and you let go!"
Jamil grinned, chuckling. He turned to Marissa, "That ws Black. Told you she was smart one." HE grinned wider, winking.
Artemis looked up at Nathaniel, forgeting he was so close and her nose bumped against his. A blush spread across her face.
Marissa shrugged. "As long as it wasn't Nathaniel again."
Nathaniel grinned widely.
Artemis's blush got wider.
Jamil grinned, "Nope, not him. Black's got something up her sleeve." He turned to NAthaniel and Artemis, smirking. He nodded his head up at them, "And it didn't go as she planned." He chuckled.
Nathaniel smiled, his face still centimeters from hers.
Marissa chuckled.
Artemis turned her face back torward and reached up and brushed her hair off off her shoulder and put her hands back onto the wheel.
Jamil turned to Marissa, "So anyone special?"
Nathaniel chuckled lightly.
Marissa shook her head. "Nope."
Jamil smiled, "Shame." He looked out at the horizon.
Artemis elbowed Nathaniel in the stomach lightly.
Marissa nodded. "Yeah, but I'll survive..."
Nathaniel meeped.
Artemis laughed, smiling. Her eyes danced.
Jamil looked back at MArissa, "We all do." He looked at Artemis, "Hey Captain! Sing for us!"
Artemsi eyes widened, "What?"
Nathaniel blinked.
Jamil walked up and stood in front of the wheel, he leaned close to her face, "SING." He grinned.
Artemis pushed Jamil's face away, "Read my lips, N.O. Not going to happen."
Jamil pouted, "But you promised you would sing for me when I wanted."
Artmis rolled her eyes, "Fine. What song?"
"anyone you want,Captain," He grinned.
Artemis sighed, "Seven sunrises and seven more nights, You'd think that we could learn to do it right, If nothing changes then i'm gonna stop, But do i really have a choice? I think not." She glared at Jamil playfully, "Happy?"
Jamil grinned, "Extremly." He walked back down the steps and sat on the bottom one, watching the sun set.
Marissa walked down and sat down next to him, smiling.
Nathaniel chuckled. "You have a beautiful voice."
Jamil half-smiled up at Marissa and looked back to the sun set, "Never get tired of watching that."
Artemis glared playfully at Nathaniel, "Yeah, well my mother said I had to know how to sing if I wanted to get a husband."
Marissa also watched it. "Niether do I... its so peaceful..."
Nathaniel chuckled. "Well, it works." he chuckled.
Jamil grinned, his face still forward, "So what do we do now?"
Artemis turned her head and stuck her tounge out at him.
Nathaniel smirked and kissed her nose.
Marissa shrugged. "I dunno..."
Artemis pulled her tounge back into her mouth and a blush blossomed across her face, "You missed..." She looked up at Nathaniel.
Jamil turned to MArissa, "Well I heard of a new game. It's called 'Truth or Dare'." He grinned to himself.
Nathaniel chuckled and smirked. "I meant to kiss your nose, its a cute little nose."
Marissa chuckled. "Alright, lets play then."
Artemis chuckled, "Not what I meant." She turned,s o she was facing Nathaniel and pulled his head down to her's, beacuse sh ewas short and alredy standing on tip-toe. She kissed him right on the lips.
Jamil grinned, "Alright," he stood up and chuckled, "As soon as their done." He was refering to Artemis and Nathaniel. He sat back down.
Nathaniel blushed and almost wrapped his arms around her, but kept his hands on the wheel.
Marissa sighed and expected the ship to turn, but it didn't.
Jamil laughed, leaning forward.
Artemis pulled back and whispered in his ear, "That's what I meant." She smiled softly, blushing.
Marissa smiled over at him.
Nathaniel looked down at her, blushing lightly. "I see..."
"I'll would play." Narcissa stepped into the conversion.
Nathaniel nodded. "I will too... but I'm kinda stuck steering..."
Marissa shrugged.
Jamil took Marissa's hand and climbed the stairs, "We'll play up here."
Artemis blushed as well, her arms still around Nathaniel's neck. She let go and turned around, "That sounds good to me."
Narcissa followed them. "So who is going to start?"
Jamil turned to Nathaniel, "How about you?"
Marissa blushed lightly.
Nathaniel shrugged. "I gotta keep steering the ship..."
Jamil turned to Marissa, "How about you then?" He grinned.
Artemis shrugged her shoulders and leaned back agianst Nathaniel.
Marissa smiled. "I will."
Nathaniel blushed and continued.
Artemis smiled, "Wonder what you're up to now, Jamil."
Jamil grinned, turning to Marissa, "So ask someone truth or dare." He looked at Artemis.
Marissa shrugged. "Uhhhh, how about you Jamil, truth or dare?"
Nathaniel chuckled.
Jamil grinned, "Dare."
"Of course," Artemis laughed.
"No shock there." Narcissa elbowed Jamil in the arm.
"Well, what's it going to be?" Jamil grinned.
Artemis shook her head, chuckling softly at him.
Marissa smirked. "Hey Artemis, should I be evil with this dare...?"
Nathaniel stopped smiling. "Ma'am, what are you thinking...?"
Artemis smirked back, "AS evil as you want, Marissa." She reached up and patted Nathaniels' cheek, "Don't worry, he'll be fine."
"Always am," Jamil grinned, "You gave me the toughest jobs on the ship, even when I was a kid."
"I wanted you to know that just because you're a pirate doesn't mean life gets easier," Artemis answered looking at Jamil, smiling softly.
"Yeah, but it's still fun," Jamil chuckled.
"Sometimes too fun."Narcissa laughed.
Jamil laughed, looking at Marissa, "So what's the dare?"
Marissa grinned. "I dare you to kiss Nathaniel on the lips." she smirked.
Nathaniel's jaw dropped. "hell. No."
Artemis laughed, moving out of the way, "Go right ahead." She stood by Marissa, laughing.
Jamil was deadpanned and froze.
Artemis gace him a little push toward Nathaniel, "Go ahead."
Jamil remained rooted to the spot, "You aren't serious are you Captain?"
Narcissa laughed at the look on there faces.
Artemis just laughed.
Nathaniel meeped.
Marissa chuckled. "Dont tell me your afraid..."
Artemis giggled, I guess I better save Jamil and Nathaniel. She walked back over to Nathaniel, "I think I'd rather keep him to myself." She smiled.
Jamil sighed, he mouthed, 'Thank you Captain.' He turned to Marissa, "Sorry, but what Captain says goes." He grinned, and looked at Narcissa, "Truth or Dare?"
"Dare Love." Narcissa answered.
Jamil grinned and walked up to her, he leaned close and whispered, "I dare you to kiss me."
Artemis laughed, "He's good."
Narcissa shrugged and layed a big passionate kiss on him.
Jamil wrapped his arms around Narissa's waist.
Artemis smiled and leaned back agianst Nathaniel, she smiled up at him.
Narcissa pulled away. "Good enough for you?"
Jamil removed his arms, "Perfect," he grinned, "Your turn love." He walked back to where he was standing before.
"Artemis truth or dare?" Narcissa looked at her.
Artemis grinned, "........Truth."
Jamil laughed, "Why truth?"
"Why pick what everyone expects me to pick?" Artemis grinned wider and looked at Narcissa.
"Have you and Nathaniel ever had a heated make out session?" Narcissa asked looking at Nathaniel and then back at Artemis.
She laughed, "No," she looked up at Nathaniel, "He hasn't been able to get away from the wheel just yet. And I've only known him as of last night."
Nathaniel blushed and smiled lightly.
Marissa chuckled. "I'll take over the wheeel tonight so you two can have a little fun."
"Sorry but by tonight we need to find Sally and I need to resign from the navy for good," Artemis sighed.
Jamil walked over to her, placing his arm around her shoulders, grinning, "Don't worry Captain, we can get it done tomorrow. All of them are still under your command."
Artemis smiled up at Jamil, "I know, but I still need to resign from the navy." She shrugged off his arm and walked to stand by the railing.
Jamil shrugged his shoulders and sat down on the stairs, streaching. He grinned up at Nathaniel, and looked at Artemis and back. He chuckled. He closed his eyes and leaned back on his elbows.
Narcissa looked at Jamil and knew what he was laughing at. She smiled and went to sit next to him.
Jamil opened one eye and saw that it was Narissa, he smiled at her, looking up at the sky, "Looks like night will be here soon," He looked up to Nathaniel, "Two knots slower Nathaniel."
Narcissa smiled at Jamil and looked at the sky. "Give it 15 minutes.
Artemis looked at Marissa, "Truth or Dare?" She smiled.
Marissa blinked. "Uhh.... dare."
Artemis turned to Nathaniel, "How mean should I make it?" She grinned.
"Captain is a crazy one, she'll do anything." Nathaniel chuckled.
"This will be good." Narcissa lean up against Jamil.
Jamil looked down at Narissa and back up to Artemis.
Artemis laughed, "Then you come up with it."
"No thanks. It is your job to do that." Narcissa shook her head lightly.
Marissa was thinking up of what she hasn't done.
Nathaniel chuckled. "No idea..."
"I've run out of ideas on that one," Artemis nodded at Jamil, smiling.
Jamil grinned, "That's true."
"Well she has to do something." Narcissa put her hand down the step, but when her hand was down she didn't feel wood. She glanced at the step and saw she had touched Jamil's hand. Narcissa felt herself blush.
Artemis shrugged, "What am I going to do, dare her to runa round hte ship naked?"
Narcissa laughed.
"Done it." both Marissa and Nathaniel said at the same time.
"Ok..." Narcissa looked from them to Jamil
Artemis leaned against the wheel, "Yeah, so have I...now what's something I haven't done....Jamil?"
Jamil thought for a moment, "Maybe...no wait, you've done that...Sorry Captain.." He grinned.
Narcissa put her head on Jamil's shoulder. "I have no ideas."
Jamil looked down at Narissa, a faint blush covered his cheeks but left just as quickly. He looked up, "What about fighting you Captain? A friendly match?" He grinned.
"I would like to see that." Narcissa agreed.
Artemis shook her head, "Too dangerous..."
Nathaniel shook his head. "Thats not a smart move..."
Marissa smirked. "Do you really think you could take me on?"
Nathaniel glanced at his captain. "No. Bad Marissa."
Marissa looked over at him. "Ah, so you remember last time, ne?"
Jamil grinned up at Artemis, scratching the back of his head, "Sorry Captain..."
Artemis looked down at him, smirking, "You remember the last time I had a sword in my hand now do you, he?"
Jamil nodded, still grinning, "Yeah sure do. You nearly killed more than half their crew and destoried a good portion of the ship."
"Well then maybe we should leave whall we have to chance." Narcissa joked.
Chlieo had moved off the Redeemer and onto her own ship. She noticed John was also on the deck and decided to talk to him because she didn't know what else to do for the moment. In the middle of her walk to get to John, she noticed BJ, walking around with what appeared to be no intention of a final destination. She looked to John and then turned, headed for BJ. "Oi, BJ," she said, nodding. "How have you been fairing this past several hours?"
John meerly watched, having seen Chlieo out of the side of his eye. He had a flask in his hand, closed, but full of rum.
BJ looked at Chlieo seeming somewhat startled. "Huh?" He said cluelessly.
Coi was still sitting in her spot, reading her book, bored out of her mind.
"How are you?" Chlieo reiterated, slowing her words slightly. She smiled a bit as she looked with a wrinkled forehead and slightly raised eyebrows. "What, are you deaf?" A joke, but a bit harsh for meer conversation.
BJ smiled. "I'm fine. I just zoned out alittle thats all."
Chlieo chuckled lightly. "Okay, okay," she said, raising both hands in surrender. "What else is new?"
BJ shrugged and looked out at the sea. "Amelia is a pirate." he said to himself but outloud. He frowned slightly.
"Who's Amelia?" Chlieo asked, having retrieved a nearby bottle of rum someone had left on a barrel near the lower deck. She uncorked the bottle and sipped at the alcohol inside.
Siren sighed, looking at her crew. She chuckled to herself, sitting near John, and pulled out a flask of rum for herself. She took a swing and looked up to the stars.
BJ snapped out of his daze and looked at Chlieo. "Oh. Nobody. Just a girl."
Chlieo's eyes narrowed as she tilted the bottom to the sky, taking a short swig before she removed the bottle from her lips. "And you like this girl?" she asked, offering him a drink by moving the bottle towards him.
Having moved to what was relaxed attention and a two fingered salute, John returned to his relaxed, leaning position. "Captain," he said with a nod.
"Relax...now just who are you? My sister was in charge but as of recently this ship is now under my command. Unfortunatly, I haven't met most the crew," Siren said, looking at John. She stood up and walked up to him, sitting on a barrel in front of him.
Already somewhat relaxed, John replaced his flask inside his jacket, despite seeing Siren with one. "John Brekettii," he told her. "Then you must be Siren. Artemis told us a few things about you." He took to watching the water around the docked ship.
Siren laughed, "And pray tell, what exactly did my big sis say about me?" She took a swing from her flask, looking at John.
"Your name, your looks, and that she's more strict," John replied, simply. It didn't take long to list what Artemis said about her. She and John didn't get to know each other very much or very well.
BJ shrugged at Chlieo. "Well. Yea. But she is a pirate!"
Chlieo allowed the bottle and her hand to fall into a more comfortable position and furrowed her brow for a moment before it smoothed out and she smiled. "I've seen worse off couples," she said. "I can't think of any right now," she paused, then looked back to BJ. "Do you want some?" She once again offered the drink, adding in the verbal question as well.
Coi stretched where she was sitting, watching BJ and Chlieo.
Siren laughed, it sounded like a melody, light and musical. She smiled, "Well, it's not hard to tell what I look like or my name, but as for being strict, I'm not. Just give me loyallty and there'll be no problem."
BJ smiled and took the bottle. "Sure. Thanks." He took a large swig of it and handed it back to her.
Taking the bottle from BJ, Chlieo kept eye contact as she sipped again at the bottle. Slowly, but surely, the liquid had decreased. "How did you two meet?" she asked, leaning on her side against the wall. Her right arm managed to move behind her, messing with a portion of her outfit around her waist while her left held the bottle, swirling the liquid into a bowl-like whirl pool.
John smiled, continuing to watch the waves. "Loyalty," he repeated. "I suppose giving it to the Navy herself isn't enough for you?" He was joking as she said she wasn't strict, and didn't wait for her to answer. "Well, what are your policies on crew interaction?" It had a hidden tone not exactly detectable by those who generally miss things.
Siren smirked, she heard a hidden tone in John's voice, She leaned back, "Let's just skip the subtext, is there something that you want to tell me?" She peered into his eyes, "I do appreciate honesty from a man."
"Honesty," he repeated, turning to face her. "Would you possibly allow me your company for dinner?" John spoke strangely formal but kept it none-the-less. He'd stood his full height, about a head and a half taller than Siren.
Siren stood up, taking the half away, she was taller than she looked. She looked at John, placing her hand under his chin, pulling it down to her. "If you insist<" she whispered against his lips. She let him go and walked to the railing, looking at the sea, smirking.
BJ looked at Chlieo. "Here." He said. "She wandered onto the ship while we were docked."
Artemis laughed, "I like this ship, don't worry." She looked up, "Night already. I better settle in." She smiled and nodded to Jamil. She winked back at Marissa, "I hope you keep to that promise of yours'."
Jamil took Narissa's hand and kissed the back of it, "Till Morning.." He winked and headed in.
"Till the morning." Narcissa whispered with a smile.
Marissa chuckled and took Nathen's place at the wheel.
Nathaniel wrapped his arms around Artemis once they were free of the wheel.
Narcissa jumped off the step and went down below the deck.
Artemis grinned, "I gues we're going to your room then, cuz I don't have one."
Jamil, leaned against the wall in the shadows, and spurng out, hugging Narissa around the waist.
Narcissa put her hand over her heart. "Oh god don't do that."
Jamil grinned, picking her up bridal style, "So where's your room?"
Marissa was at the wheel, still not even tired yet.
Nathaniel chuckled. "Yeah, I guess so..."
Artemis laughed, "So where is it?"
Nathaniel lead her to his cabin and smiled softly.
Artemis sat on the bed, "So how did you become th helsman?"
Nathaniel looked up thoughtfully. "Well... I was a stowaway at the time... and her helmsmen was killed during a storm... so I took his place when he went down."
"Interesting, so let me guess, you've been here ever since," Artemis chuckled.
Nathaniel nodded. "Yup."
Artemis laughed, laying back on the bed, "This is comfy."
Nathaniel did the same. "Yeah, its nice." he chuckled.
"Jamil was the only man allowed on my ship when I received the title of captain, all the others left of their own choice," artemis said.
Narcissa pointed to a door on the left side.
Jamil nodde, gently opening the door, and layin Narcissa on the bed.
Narcissa sat up and watched Jamil closely. "What are you planing?"
Jamil smiled softly, "To say good night. So good night, Narissa." He walked to the door.
Narcissa hopped off her bed and jumped in front of the door. "So soon?"
Jamil turned around, taking her hand once again, kissing the back of it, and smiled, "I would hate to intrude and Captain has made sure that I have a great respeect for women, especially pirates." He winked.
Narcissa smiled. "You aren't intuding. I promise you."
Jamil smiled, "Alright then."
"So will you stay?" Narcissa pushed him slightly from the door.
"Well it seems like you don't want me to go," Jamil laughed.
"Do you want to leave?" Narcissa asked as she stepped away from the door.
jamil stepped closer to her, smiling down at her, "Now why would I want to do that?"
"I don't know why would you." Narcissa smiled and backed up against the wall.
Jamil, pulled her back to him, "You're not getting away that easy." He grinned.
"I didn't think so." Narcissa wrapped her arms around Jamil.
"Good," Jamil, titled her face up toward his.
Narcissa leaned into Jamil and kissed him.
Jamil kissed her back, and pulled back, smiling, "We head to Tortga in the morning. Both you and I need our rest."
"Ok only if you join me tommorrow night in my room for dinner." Narcissa whispered. "And please call me Cissa."
"Alright, I agree, Cissa. You can call me....whatever you want," Jamil laughed.
"I will stick with Jamil. After sundown. Ok?" Naricissa backed away from him
Jamil grinned and playfully bowed, "As the lady wishes." He turned to the door.
"Good night."Narcissa said.
Nathaniel looked at Artemis next to him and smiled softly.
Artemis smiled softly up at Nathaniel.
Jamil walked down the hall into anempty room and hopped into a hammock, closing his eyes.
Narcissa layed down and fell asleep pretty quickly.
Nathaniel nuzzled her gently.
Artemis smiled, kissing him on the cheek.
Nathaniel smiled and kissed her forehead.
Artemis chuckled, and kissed the tip of his nose.
Nathaniel blinked.
Artemis layed back, laughing at the look on his face.
Nathaniel chuckled softly.
"Morning will be soon," Artemis leaned her head back slightly to look out the small window.
Nathaniel nuzzled her, closing his eyes.
Artemis closed her eyes, pulling herself close to Nathaniel, "Can we just stay here today?" She sighed, closing her eyes.
Jamil opened one eye lazily, Looks like moring already He stood up and streatched, walking up onto the deck.
Narcissa yawned and looked out her window to be blinded by light. She rolled out of bed and walked up to the deck.
"Watch your step," Jamil said to the person behind him.
Narcissa turned around and saw Jamil and smiled.
Jamil looked back and grinned, "'Ello Cissa."
Narcissa waved still half blinded by the light. "Morning."
"Apparently," Jmail grinned.
"Smart ass." Narcissa joked.
"Yup," Jamil laughed.
Narcissa just shook her head. "So how are you this lovely blinding morning?"
"slightly tired, and yourself?" he asked.
"The same." Narcissa was pretty tired and she wished she could crawl under her blanket and sheild herself from the stupid sun.
Jamil streached his sore muscles again, he looked around, and took Narcissa's hand, "Let's go back to bed before they see us and put us to work this early. We stil have about an hour or so." He grinned.
"Ok." Narcissa pulled him softly from the deck.
Jamil smiled softly, following her.
Narcissa went down into her room still pulling Jamil lighty. "I am not a morning person."
"I guessed," Jamil said, the smile gone from his face. He was tired.
Narcissa got in bed and rolled to the other side and motioned Jamil to join her.
Jamil layed on top of the covers, laying back, and closed his eyes, smiling a bit.
Narcissa put her arm over Jamil and nuzzled in her pillow.
Jamil slid his arm under Narcissa and kept his eyes closed.
Narcissa snuggled up to Jamil's warm body.
Jamil smirked, holding Narcissa.
Narcissa almost fell asleep instently.
Jamil faced Narcissa, falling alseep himself.
Narcissa poked Jamil. "Lets at least go to my room if we are going to fall asleep." She whispered.
Having willingly moved towards Siren, John kept a calm facade as his heart raced at her touch. Surprisingly, he hadn't meant he would escort his superior to dinner, but rather thinking of his sister. This new turn of events sent John down a path he hadn't been on for years. He'd watched Siren move back to the railing as he removed the flask from his jacket. Having removed the cap and pressed the threaded brim to his lips that barely brushed the air surrounding Siren's as she spoke, swallowing a rather large swig before moving next to the woman. "I never insisted," he commented, only about a minute after her words. "I asked for your willingness to comply." His tone reflected the look he held as he had followed her gaze towards the dulling horizon.
Chuckling, Chlieo simply stopped moving her hand, forgetting the bottle of rum hanging limply from her hand, gravity eagerly, jealously pulling at it, but it never fell. "Must be nice to have a crush," she said, a glazed look over her eyes. Despite this strange new look, she was quite aware of what was around her.
Siren laughed again, it sounded musical and light, "That was a yes, John." She looked at him, smiling. She reached for the flask, taking a small sip and handed it back to him, holding out her other hand.
John watched Siren after feeling the flask leave his hand. When it was returned, he simply recapped it, without removing his gaze. Having also noticed her outstretched hand, his brow furrowed questioningly.
Siren shook her head slighly, chuckling. She took John's hand and headed under the captain's quarters.
John followed, without making it seem he was lagging like a small child through a fair. He wasn't surprised to see less decoration, as it was once Artemis' quarters.
Siren looked at the walls, it had much more on the walls than when her sister had used it. There were mostly maps, charts and swords that covered the dek and the walls. She walked to the table where the cook had already laid out the supper. Siren smiled at John, "Have a seat." She took one herself.
Removing his long outer jacket, John draped it over the back of his own chair before sitting in it. He naturally sat with a straight back, and quickly looked over the food, wondering what her own customs were on eating. He looked to Siren before shooting a smile at her. "I apologise," he told her.
Siren smiled, "John, you don't have to be formal. We're just two peoplehaving supper." Siren leaned back into her chair. "Help yourself."
"I suppose it's hard to supress habit," he told her, pouring a glass of wine for hisself. "Aren't you going to eat?" He had already added a few things to his own plate, almost in one fluid motion, too. He sipped at the red drink, compared to the amber colored on in his flask.
Siren nodded, "Yes, I suppose it is." She laid some things onto her plate gracefully. It seemed every movement of hers was somehow. She stood up and walked to a cabient to the side. She opened it up and grabbed a bottle of rum and walked back, pouring herself a glass.
John chuckled warmly. Without using a fork or knife, he stole bites of the large leg of meat he'd planted on his plate a few minutes before. After swallowing, he wished to say something, but couldn't think of anything to say, so simply took a larger bite.
Siren ate what was on her plate and took some more, "So why did you join the navy?"
"To look after my sister," John said, having finished his roll. He, however, didn't reach for as much as before, taking only snack items, like fruit or bread, as well as a bit of the rum Siren retrieved. "If you haven't noticed, she's rather unstable." He didn't explain what he meant, but continued. "She joined simply to serve in uniform and I gave my word to our father to look after his wife's only daughter. They both had passed away years ago." He seemed to be at peace with this information.
Siren nodded to show that she understood, "There was a storm, it killed my entire family. I was thrown into the sea, as well as my sister, Artemis. The navy saved me and pirates took in my sister. So I joined the navy when I came of age and Artemis joined to watch over me."
"Which Naval officer took you in?" John asked, curious as he tore a small piece of fluffy bread from the roll on his plate, placing it in his mouth, chewing shortly before swallowing. He took no notice of how he ate, simply from his interest.
Siren leaned over, lowering his arm, "You don't need to overstuff yourself," She smiled, sitting back down, "Courts. General Courts, though I do believe he is a governer now."
Smiling John placed his elbows on the edge of the table, folding his hands together, leaning forwards against them. "I don't believe I've ever met the man," he commented before looking to her.
'Most don't. He hates public apperances," Siren shrugged.
John nodded and looked down to his plate. When he looked back up, several people were arriving, waiting for either person to tell them that they were finished, but he felt he didn't have as much authority over them, and simply looked back to Siren.
Siren stood up, walking to the door, she nodded and the crew left. "Sorry, forgot that the mess hall was right across from my room," Siren sat back down, smiling softly.
John nodded. "I don't mind," he said, having stood when Siren did. The table seemed oddly large without the display of food.
"You can sit John," Siren laughed. She helped herself to more rum. "So tell me something about yourself."
Instead of sitting in a chair, John leaned against the table. "Thanks," he said, but didn't sit. "There's really not a lot to know. I have a sister, Chlieo, and we're both in the Navy." He didn't really think of anything else that would interest her.
Siren stood up as well, she walked over to John, looking into his eyes, "Hmm...well you believe in disiple and family...there's something else though." Siren chuckled, "Very good, normally I can tell what's in a man's heart but you can hide your's a bit well."
A smile flitted across John's face when he met Siren's eyes. "Then it should be a challenge for you," he said. "Refreshing, I suppose." His relaxed demenor didn't help Siren's quest.
"Well, you're not the first John," Siren put down her untouched glass and walked over to the deck, she leaned against it, smiling softly.
"I wouldn't doubt that," John said and smiled to himself. He moved to lean against the doorway with his shoulder.
Siren turned around, smiling softly, "Come here John. I want to show you something."
Narcissa's eyes slowly opened after about a hour or two and tried to roll over but then she remembered Jamil was next to her. Just that thought made her smile.
Jamil wrapped his other arm around Narcissa's waist, and nuzzled his head in the crok of her shoulder. HE smirked.
"You know we are going to have to get up soon." Narissa whispered.
"Not till the captian come and gets me," He chuckled.
"So how long do we have?" Narcissa asked.
"Well, with your captain, I have no idea. With mine, probably, a few more hours," Jamil guessed.
"Well what shall we do?" Narcissa asked in a loving voice.
"What ever you wish, my lady," Jamil chuckled deeply.
Narcissa turned over so she was facing Jamil. "I asked first."
"And I answered," Jamil chuckled.
"You are being a smart ass again." Narcissa started to pout.
Jamil quickly kissed her and pulled away.
Narcissa just glared at him and the started to laugh. "That won't always work."
"Guess I'll have to come up with somethign different then<" Jami grinned.
"Yep you sure will." Narcissa nodded.
"I can always ask the captain," He laughed.
Narcissa took Jamil's arms and put them over his head with her left hand and got on top of Jamil. "You will not."
"I really don't have to, she already taught me everything," Jamil flipped them over so he was on top. He pinned her wrists and pinned her legs using his own. He smirked.
Narcissa let out a playful growl. "As I see."
Jamil laughed and let her go, laying back down.
Narcissa smiled as she sat up. "You are too much sometimes."
Jamil laughed, "You've only known me for two days."
Narcissa just shrugged and rolled her eyes.
Jamil looked out the porthole, he sighed, "Guess we should head up now. Captain'll be wakin gup soon herself." He chuckled and stood up, holding out his hand to Narcissa.
NArcissa took his hand and allowed Jamil to pull her up. "Yeah we should."
Jamil held Narcissa's hand and headed up to the deck, it was sunrise.
"I don't feel as tired." Narcissa said. The sun didn't seem so bright.
"Only sunrise, huh," Jamil streached, and sat on the stairs.
Narcissa nodded and sat down next to Jamil. "I thought it would be later than that."
Jamil shrugged his shoulders, "Ay, ye never know what the sea will do." He gazed out at it.
"True." Narcissa yawned.
Jamil wrapped his arm around her so she was leaning back against him. Jamil glanced up at the wheel, seeing hte captain. "Looks like Black still be with the helsman," Jamil chuckled deeply.
Narcissa placed her head on Jamil's shoulder. Shed nodded at his comment.
Jamil looked down at Narcissa, smiling softly.
Narcissa gazed out to the sea, she was deep in thought.
Jamil looked back up at the patchwork sky of golds, reds, pinks, and blacks.
"This is almost like heaven." Narcissa said after a few moments.
"Aye, this be heaven alright," Jamil looked down at Naricissa.
Narcissa looked up at Jamil. "I wish we wouldn't have to work today."
Jamil chuckled, "Every day ye be aboard a ship, you have to work, Cissa."
"I know. I can't wait to get to port." Narcissa sighed.
"That's won't be for a few days," Jamil said.
"Yeah. Where is everyone I am starting to think we are up early." Narcissa looked around the deck.
Nathaniel nodded and kissed her neck softly. "Alright."
"Mmmm, good," Artemis smiled.
Nathaniel chuckled softly and nuzzled her neck gently.
Artemis wrapped her arms around Nathaniel neck, "We should at least get some rest," she whispered into his ear softly, smirking.
Nathaniel nodded and smiled. "Yeah."
Artemis laid back down on the bed spread out, she closed her eyes, smirking.
Nathaniel climbed on top of her and kissed her gently.
Artemis wrapped her arms around Nathaniel's neck and kissed him back.
Nathaniel smiled softly and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Now this is better," Artemis smiled. She kissed him again.
Nathaniel chuckled and kissed her back. "It is..."
Artemis smiled into the kiss.
Nathaniel broke the kiss only to go down to her neck, kissing it gently.
Artemis whimpered a bit when he broke the kiss, but stopped and 'hmmed' in agreement when he moved to her neck.
Nathaniel chuckled softly and gently nipped at her neck.
Artemis pulled him back up for a kiss and flipped them over, so she was on top.
Nathaniel kissed her back and kept his arms around her waist.
Artemis pulled away from the kiss, and nipped at his ear, before moving to his neck.
Nathaniel arched his neck and murred softly.
Artemis pulled away, sitting up, she straddled his waist, before half-laying back down, kissing Nathaniel.
Nathaniel kissed her back.
Artemis pulled back a bit smiling.
Nathaniel smiled and kissed her forehead.
Artemis laughed lightly and kissed the tip of his nose.
Nathaniel smiled softly and nuzzled her.
Artemsi climbed off of Nathaniel and settled herself by his side, curled up by him. Her legs weaved with his, and her head on his chest.
Nathaniel nuzzled her gently. "I love you Artemis."
Artemis was a bit taken back, but after a moment smiled, "I love you too, Nathaniel."
Nathaniel smiled and kissed her head softly.
Artemis nuzzled her head in the crook of his shoulder.
Nathaniel smiled and held her close.
Artemis closed her eyes, "Mmm...comfy." It was muffled beacasue she had not moved her head.
Nathaniel chuckled softly.
Artemis lightly tapped him on the chest.
Nathaniel blinked. "Yes...?"
"...Queit you," Artemis mumbled, her eyes still closed, she cuddled close to Nathaniel.
Nathaniel smiled and nuzzled her, closing his eyes.
"Hmmm.." Artemis opened one eye, looking up at Nathaniel. She smiled, closing her eye again.
Marissa stood boredly at the wheel. She wasn't going to call upon Nathaniel, because she knew he needed a good days rest.
"I wouldn't doubt that," John said and smiled to himself. He moved to lean against the doorway with his shoulder.
Siren turned around, smiling softly, "Come here John. I want to show you something."
John obeyed, moving over to Siren with few strides of his naturally long legs. He waited expectantly for whatever she wished to show him, about three feet between the two.
Jamil nodded up at the wheel, "The captain be up there."
Narcissa rolled her head so she could see the captain. "Yep."
Jamil leaned back against the stairs.
Narcissa nuzzled up against Jamil and closing her eyes.
Jamil held Narcissa closer, smiling.
Narcissa's fluttered open and she looked at Jamil.
"Hmm?" Jamil looked down at her.
"I didn't say anything. I am just enjoying the view." Narcissa said with a sweet smile.
"Me too. It's beautiful," Jamil kissed her on the forehead.
Narcissa just giggled. "I think so too."
Jamil raised an eyebrow, chuckled and closed his eyes again.
Narcissa glanced at the sea, back at Jamil, and closed her eyes. "Have you ever wondered what would happen if we touched the horizon?"
Jamil looked at the horizon, "No, not really, I prefer to stay on the sea."
"You and everyone here." Narcissa said. Her voice muffled by Jamil's shoulder.
Jamil laughed, "Aye, that's why we be pirates."
Narcissa laughed softly but said nothing.
Jamil closed his eyes.
Narcissa had to be careful she was close too falling asleep again.
Nathaniel chuckled. "Hmm?"
Artemis looked up, "What?"
Nathaniel nuzzled her softly. "What was that 'hmmm' for I wonder...?"
"I was comfy," Artemis laughed lightly, it was musical, sounding like her mother's.
Nathaniel nuzzled her. "I love it when you laugh."
Artemis laughed lightly, "Why?"
"Its peaceful. Music." He murred softly.
"You should hear my sister, sounds like a siren," Artemis laughed.
Nathaniel nuzzled her. "Oh dear..."
"What?" Artemis looked at him.
"Is she loud?"
"No, just hates all pirates," Artemis layed back down.
"Uh oh, well, you'll know she hates me already..." He sighed.
"No, it's me," Artemis sighed, she leaned up and kissed him.
Nathaniel kissed her back.
Artemis smiled.
Nathaniel chuckled lightly and smiled.
Artemis layed back down, smiling teasingly up at Nathaniel.
Nathaniel smiled and kissed her nose lightly.
Artemis laughed lightly.
Nathaniel rested his head on her chesst and closed his eyes, sighing contently.
Artemis blushed and sat up.
Nathaniel blushed. "I'm sorry..."
Artemis shook her head, "You didn't do anything..."
Nathaniel was blushing brightly, He put his head on the pillow, but snuggled closer to Artemis.
Artemis layed down and nuzzled Nathaniel, sliding close to him.
Nathaniel kissed the top of her head softly.
Artemis smiled softly, and cuddled closer.
Nathaniel murred softly, nuzzling her head. "Your hair smells nice..."
Artemis laughed lightly, "You're completely random, you know that?"
Nathaniel chuckled. "I know."
Artemis laughed, "Just one question, where did you come from the night I was first one this ship? You just popped up behind with a gun to my head."
Nathaniel smirked. "I was stuck in a box, and I heard someone threatening my captain so I got up to help. I was trying to find one of my daggers that fell among the boxes."
"Why did you drop one of you daggers?" Artemis asked.
Nathaniel shrugged. "I dunno, it just fell."
Artemis laughed.
Nathaniel smiled softly and kissed her cheek.
Artemis kissed Nathaniel's cheek.
Nathaniel rested his head on her shoulder and slowly fell asleep again.
Artemis nuzzled him, closing her eyes and fell asleep.
Siren turned around, smiling softly, "Come here John. I want to show you something."
John obeyed, moving over to Siren with few strides of his naturally long legs. He waited expectantly for whatever she wished to show him, about three feet between the two.
Siren laughed, "I won't bite." She leaned agianst the railing, watching the horizon.
"What did you want to show me?" John said, moving next to her, pressing his hands against the railing, lightly.
"Just wait and see," Siren looked out at the horizon, smiling softly.
His eyes softened for a moment before he looked to the horizon, following her gaze. He'd taken to crossing his forearms as they pressed against the wooden planks creating the railing, his short white hair shifting lightly in the breeze. He had neglected the long cape-like cloak he'd've worn had it been raining.
The sun began to rise, painting the sky in golden, pink, purple hues.
Siren smiled, "...I love sunrises." she mumbled, not realizing she said it out loud.
John glanced to Siren when she spoke. He smiled lightly, returning to look at the colored sky near the water edged horizon. He enjoyed watching the sunrised, but it only gave light to the fact he didn't sleep much. Despite how alert he always seems, his body is tired. "How long do you watch the sunrise before you turn back to reality?" he asked, conversationally.
Siren glanced at John, she laughed lightly, "Excuse me?"
"Sunrises are only colors," Jon told her, watching the horizon still. "Sights we can never touch, even if we travel that far, it will still be half the world away." He stole a peak at Siren only to smile before looking back to the lightened sky, far away from the place his feet were planted.
Siren chuckled, "Yes, but it's actually two worlds away. 'The sun is too far to touch, to close to the sea, and too beautiful for eyes to see'." Siren smiled, looking back to the sunrise.
Jon laughed hartily. "Aye," he said, straightening and stretched his arms above his head.
Siren stood up, swong her legs over the railing and sat on it. She looked back a John with a sweet smile.
John positioned both his hands behind his head and returned her smile before speaking. "Well, Captain," he said, emphasising the word, "What is our heading?"
Siren smirked, "Port Royal, we'll be restocking supplies."
Jamil gently shook Narcissa, "Don't fall asleep.." He chuckled.
"I am trying not too." Narcissa whispered.
Jamil chuckled, "We better stand up then."
"Don't want to." Narcissa whispered. She was to conferable right now.
"Fine, I'll carry you," Jamil swept her up and carried her as he stood up.
Narcissa was awake now. "Ok I am up."
Jamil laughed, he pouted, 'Fine, I guess you want to be put down?"
"Did I say that?" Narcissa lightly touched Jamil on the nose before puting her arms arouns his neck.
Jamil chuckled, swingng her around in a circle.
Narcissa laughed and she held Jamil closely making sure he won't drop her.
Jamil slowed down to a stop smiling.
Narcissa was still giggling. She smiled at Jamil.
Jamil grinned.
Narcissa stroked his hair, wrapping her fingers in Jamil's hair.
Jamil kissed her lightly.
Narcissa kissed him back.
Jamil placed Narcissa on her feet, he smiled down at her.
Narcissa laughed sweetly. "Thanks for the ride."
Jamil chuckled, "My pleasure."
"I'll keep that in mind." Narcissa pulled her hand from Jamil's hair.
Jamil smiled, nodding, and headed up to the captain.
Narcissa sighed and walked over to Marissa. "Orders captain?"
Marissa smiled. "Not much, just bein bored. We're going to be heading into Tortuga for restocking, so just relax."
"Great thanks." Narcissa smiled and went down under the deck.
Jamil nodded, and walked over to the railing and stared out at the sea.
Narcissa laid down in her bed after lighting the candles in her room.
Siren smirked, "Port Royal, we'll be restocking supplies."
John nodded and continued his stretching. "I don't suppose we should begin that short journey?" he asked, allowing his arms to fall back to his side, his height far more apparent than before, despite the almost matching height of Siren.
Siren smiled, "We're already half-way there, we'll be in port by tomorrow morning." She swung her legs back over and stood next to John.
John smiled. He'd usually been the one behind the wheel, but seeing as he spent time with the new captain, he didn't think it was a bad trade. "It should be good to see home, again," he said. He lived with his sister in a rather large house, very close to the port.
Siren chuckled, looking out at the sea, "I'm always home."
John nodded. He glanced to Siren then to the deck. He could tell a few had taken to sitting around, but wasn't too bothered by it. Not much happened unless a pirate ship was near and willing to fight.
Siren glanced out to the horizon, "I take that back, we'll be there by nightfall." She chuckled.
John smiled. He looked back to Siren before he sighed. "Thanks for the dinner," he said, holding his hand out for hers. "I was delicious."
Siren slid her hand into his, "Well I'll pas the commlment to the cook then." She smiled.
Moving a step closer, John lightly pressed his lips to the back of her hand before lowering it. "I bid you good morning and sadly must leave to the lower decks," he said with a smile, keeping hold of her hand for a few moments, waiting for her reply.
"Well as Captain, I'm ordering you to stay," Siren smirked, stepping closer.
With a hint of longing in his eyes, John took in breath only to let it out. "I must check on my sister," he told her, quietly. With a light squeeze of her hand, he let go and bowed lightly. "I'll be back, soon." He smiled and turned to the deck, moving to the door leading to the lower decks.
Siren sighed, walking over to her bed and laid down.
