Once, a very long time ago, there lived two young and very special men. There names were Merlin and Arthur. One a socerer living in a world where his natural gifts in magic were punishable by death. And another an arrogant prince. Together they grew and in their time and names Camelot rose to a great power. But it faced darkness too. Evil magic worked to destroy everything Arthur and Merlin built. In a final epic battle, Arthur gave his life to protect Camelot.

After his sacrifice evil magic was driven from Camelot and the kingdom blossomed under Queen Guinevere with Merlin there to always protect it. King Arthur remained in a place between life and death, held by the waters in Avalon. Queen Guinevere born one child, a son who would go on to rule Camelot as he thought his father may. When Guinevere neared the end of her life, she asked a favor of her dear friend Merlin. With Arthur destined to rise again, she asked if Merlin could some how make her young again. To somehow make it so she may return when Arthur rose. Merlin, being a powerful wizard agreed, returning her to her younger self before concealing her in Avalon as well, where hundreds of years could pass outside of the mist, but she would not age more than a day. Merlin promised her he would return when Arthur rose to protect Camelot once more.

But hundreds of years passed, the stories of Camelot and Arthur became legends and myths and Camelot's name changed until Carlisle became the final name. Magic faded into myth and eventually became a very rare gift indeed. Marlin watched, always protecting, always watching for the day Arthur is meant to come again. Alone, he never went on to marry, and never knowing that he too produced an heir, years after Arthur's son was born. The woman, a nurse maid who helped Guinevere left after becoming pregnant, never telling Merlin of his daughter.

The name Pendragon faded too, though there are decendants of Arthur and Guinevere, only two bear the name Pendragon. Merlin watches over them carefully, they're his only link to his good friends long gone.

What Merlin does not know of the two Pendragon sisters is they're also his decendants and have his gift, which they keep safely hidden from the world and each other.

Evil is brewing though, laying dormant for so long, seemingly gone for good. But it isn't gone, it never truelly was. It's been growing, getting stronger as the years passed, waiting until it believed it would be safe of Emrys and Arthur. Morgana and Mordred's hatred went on as an entity of it's own, combining until it finally found a heart to live in and grow stronger and infect the hearts of others.

Age: He's honestly stopped counting but around 400 years or so. Give or take.
Other: Sometimes he appears older, sometimes younger. He can change his appearance permanently now, so he can start young and seemingly live a 'normal' life. He keeps to himself now.

Age: Technically as old as Merlin, but he's not aged a day over 24-how old he was when he 'died'.
Other: Now that Morgana and Mordred's evil is becoming so strong and increasing in numbers, he's awakening to this new world. Something he believes is all a trick at first.

Age: She lived originally to 84, but Merlin returned her to 23 before taking her to Avalon where time could be slowed down.
Other: She's never regretted her decision to become young again. She never loved anyone but Arthur and the thought of him possibly rising again and her not being there broke her heart. So after raising their son and seeing the first of her grandchildren born, she asked Merlin if there was anything he could do.

Personality: Kind of bitchy, very protective of her twin and she isn't scared to stick up for herself and kick some ass.
Other: One of the last descendants with Pendragon as a last name. Has magical gifts- thanks to being one of Merlin's descendants too, on her mother's side- but she doesn't tell anyone about it. Not even her sister. She and her sister are fraternal twins, but they don't look anything alike; except they both have bright blue eyes.Their different skin tone is because both of their parents are biracial, and there's a one in a million chance of the genes lining up in such a way that their skin tones are different. Personality: Fun-loving, hyper, flirty, but also rather sassy. She's protective of her sister too, but knows she can handle herself.
Other:One of the last descendants with Pendragon as a last name. Has magical gifts- thanks to being one of Merlin's descendants too, on her mother's side- but she doesn't tell anyone about it. Not even her sister. Other: Though she was killed by Merlin many years ago on the same day Arthur died, a part of her in the shape of evil magic and hate lived on. It was drawn to the same kind of magic that was left of Mordred and together, the two energies grew stronger and stronger. The evil magic infected the hearts of men and women, building an army that has magical talents. Their army has stayed quiet so they don't give themselves away. Finally, when there were enough fallowers, they performed a spell that brought her back to life, then she brought Mordred back.

Other: After Arthur killed him, a part of him lived on much as it had for Morgana. His hate for Arthur and his magic combined and carried on, drawn to Morgana's energy. Eventually Morgana with the help of their fallowers brought him back and his desire to destroy anything related to Arthur has only grown.
