Auna sat on a sun-warmed stone, her toes trailing in the cool water of a shallow creek. Tucking a tress of her long black hair behind her ear she gazed up at the sky, smiling fainly as clouds drifted lazily in a sea of blue. After a moment she closed her eyes and allowed her mind to sink away. Down into the depths she went, beyond the earth and the air. Pushing past the ancient magicks of the world she broke through.

It took only a moment to find what she'd been looking for- a young man with shaggy honey-colored hair and black eyes. He was handsome and well-built. Auna watched him work, cutting wood and nailing boards together, he was building a frame for a house and though he wasn't working alone... He was all that she saw. She reached out as though to touch him affectionately as he wiped a bead of sweat from his brow. Thinking better of it she drew her hand back, shuddering as the air grew cool around her again.

Blinking hazily, Auna realized that some time had passed since she'd drifted from her body.
