You have no idea how tempted I was to make the title of this application alliterative and name it 'Chimes' Crew Crapplication'. It may have reflected the application itself. Anyway, on to the point...

As a reflection of my personality and interests this application will take a slightly altered form. I hope you enjoy it, even if I don't succeed. It was worth a try and I enjoyed writing it. The eight points will be put together in some places but they will all be there. Don't you worry, dears.

I.
Once upon a time there was a charming - said as the audience coughs profusely - young lady named [Chimes], who lived on the merry isle of Britain and spent most of her time clogging up the internet with her presence. Unfortunately for the citizens of Elftown she began her long - and probably permanent - visit to Elftown in 2005. However, she did have an account before that but her house - said house created a mere two months before, she was an unlucky little beaver - and all of her belongings were stolen so she thought it best to start on a clean slate.

As a person [Chimes] was always friendly - though there were, and are, a select few exceptions but, then again, who in this world is friendly towards everyone? - and was always happy to help those in need of assistance.

She tried to make her house as delightful as possible while still giving her visitors an insight into her personality and anything else that might be of interest. She wracked her brain until she thought of a creative and - hopefully - entertaining way of writing about herself not unlike this charming little application.

II.
Now [Chimes], being the creative individual that she was, created many wikis for many different purposes - primarily Roleplays such as: Portal. However she also owns wikis for: her music, A touch of Legato (This wiki has since been Featured, HOORAY!) and her writings, Her writings. As such her knowledge of Elftown itself was quite good.

She decided - being the lovely being that she is (The narrator pauses to look down at the audience, 'You might want to do something about that cough..') - to create an awards system, of sorts, to show her favourite Elftowners, artists, writers, goblins... how special they were. That was the beginning of Chimes' Special Stars.

She could navigate round the forums and polls as well as being quite well versed on the rules, she has submitted a fair few reports. Though Elftown changed while she was away for a few weeks she had adapted to the change and liked the newer Elftown within her first few hours of using it. She knows her way around it and was - still is - quite comfortable with its' workings. 

She tried to submit some graphics but she needs to change their file types as she was a silly little beaver. Though she has also submitted a few things to the The Town Herald - only one has been published, so far - of which she was, and remains to this day, an avid reader of. She also applied to become one of the Heralders. She is still working on becoming a Heralder, she thinks it would be enjoyable. As of 16th July '08 [Chimes] was honoured to become a fully-fledged Heralder. This made her happier than can be and continues to make her happier still.

Being a fun person [Chimes] contributed in some of the competitions that Elftown held and has plans to do so again in the near future. (Especially the current Magic Contest, the prose portion in particular.)

[Chimes] loved pretty things so her house and most of her wikis were appealing to the eye, in her opinion anyway, and she believes her English skills are quite good. However, she is sure they could be improved.

III.
When [Chimes] joined this site she found its ideals and general subject matter highly appealing. She wanted to keep it as the haven of creativity that it first appeared, finding that the most she could do was report those who violate the precious rules and litter the blessed green wiki expanses with her drawl she decided to apply to the crew. She spent most of her time here, so it would make sense to be productive. She had aims to be part of the crew - if she managed to get herself accepted - for a very, very long time with no plans of stopping in the future.

IV.
Patience is a virtue, one which [Chimes] was very proud of. She found it easy to get along with most people, having little to no trouble. Though I, the narrator of this tale, will not lie (nor will I let her lie to you) she has been known to have her moments now and again but they are completely controllable.

V.
The strange and orangey one - is it weird that I do not remember typing 'orangey'? - had something that was often found: a sense of humour. Why is that relevant? In all honesty I do not know, myself. She was just so eager to find herself a place in this wonderful world of fantasy - her favourite genre as well as romance, of course - that she may have gotten a bit carried away.

VI.
And so [Chimes] was let in to the Elftown Crew and they all lived happily ever after - she wishes.
