criminal mind

Blaine looked up at the white wall from his love seat, he didn't know what to do today. Hailstone city was as non-boring as ever as the news played of a robbery and a murder. "Chalk up another one for the filth of this city." Blaine thought rolling over to look at the time on the couch side table. it told him that it was 3:45 pm. Blaine sighed "I'll go get some ice cream or something at the corner store since there's nothing else to do today."

Despite the frigid weather, Wylie sat on the curb of the street by the little ice cream shop with an ice cream cone in her hand. She casually licked at the desert while passerby stared curiously at the blood spatters in her hair and on her clothes, as well as the abnormally large ring on her finger.

Blaine walked towards the corner store. as he walked past he saw a very white girl with little drops of crimson on her. "wow she's really pretty i hate to be vain but we look a lot alike except she's like a porcelain doll." "Hey there i didn't think anyone else liked ice cream when it's this cold outside." Blaine stated towards the girl.

Wylie looked up from her fixed stare at the man. She blinked her red eyes that matched the blood that showered her and smiled bleakly. "Anything sugary helps me feel better."

"Why you chose ice cream over something warm is beyond me," Lawrence muttered as he walked out of the store. He sat down next to Wylie and took a sip of hot chocolate.

Wylie clicked her heels against the frosted pavement and replied, "You're beyond me."

Lawrence looked up from trying to wipe his hat clean of all the blood. " 'Scuse me?"

Darcy had just gotten out for lunch break from his office. "Yes out of the cubical onto the street. Now what do I want for lunch" he thought to himself. Looking across the street he saw the corner store, and Blaine talking to two people. "Maybe I could sneak up on Blaine, that should be fun." He quietly and carefully made his way across the street. He took out a bow and arrow which me made from a standard Bic round plastic ink pen. Aiming for Blaine's butt he fired.

Blaine was just going ask the girl what her and her friends names were, when something hit his butt. Blaine turned around fast ready to slap the person when he saw Darcy. "Yay Darcy's out on lunch break!". "Darcy i didn't expect you for a while."

"Than obviously you must have lost track of time again. I am out the exact time I am always out at." Darcy stated.

Blaine frowned "i didn't loose track of time again,i know very well what time it is Mr. know it all."

"Yeah right. I am not a know it all." Darcy said looking at Blaine and than to the people in front of Blaine. "Are these friends of yours Blaine? What are your names if you don't mind me asking." Darcy said.

Wylie continued clicking her heels and replied in a loud voice, "I'm Wylie!"

Lawrence cringed from the volume of Wylie's voice. "And my name's Lawrence," he said in a heavy British accent, eyeing Darcy's pen creation. I should get myself one of those.

"Pleasure to meet both of you." Darcy noticed Lawrence eying the pen. "You can have it if you like, it was just made out of a standard Bic pen. You find ways to amuse yourself when you are stuck in a cubical all day."

"Ah!" the blonde brit exclaimed happily before snatching the "bow" out of Darcy's grasp. "Thank you. Really."

Blaine looked at Darcy "well now that we all know each other," Blaine turned to Darcy "NO MORE PEN BOWS!"

Wylie took the bow from Lawrence. She stretched the pen back, as if about to shoot. "...You could do a lot with this if you shot it hard enough. Like, have it get stuck in someone's eye. Fuckin' sweet."

Lawrence attempted to swipe it out of her hands. "Which is exactly why you shouldn't touch it. give it back."

Blaine frowned "you take all the fun outta things Lawrence, Wylie you and i look so much alike it's scary only I'm colorful and your like a little china doll." Blaine stated

Darcy sighed "Well I have to go and get something for lunch. Otherwise I will go hungry for the rest of the day."

"Give it back!" Wylie whined, mocking Lawrence's British accent. She turned to Blaine and shrugged. "I guess so...was that a compliment?" She asked, confused and doubtful.

Blaine frowned "well yea i guess even though i don't view myself as pretty, please Darcy be safe I'll see you when you get done with work." he smiled hugging Darcy.

Lawrence grabbed the pen out of Wylie's grasp and pocketed it. "Well, I WAS going to agree with Blaine about your prettiness, but then you had to mock me. So I'll be keeping my opinion to myself."

Wylie shrugged. "Wouldn't mean much anyways," She replied. "By Mr. Dude!" She waved to Darcy.

The Brit frowned and shrugged. "Your low confidence is unboostable. ...and I'm hungry now, too." He contemplated going back into the store for a sandwich.

Blaine smile brightly "We should go get something to eat if you guys don't mind me hanging with....." Blaine trailed off for a second and put his hand on his chest, he felt a familiar pain take hold of him. He reached out towards Wylie or Lawrence so that he could have something to brace himself on encase he was going to fall the pain felt like a slow burning and Blaine knew he would pass out soon just not here. "hey guys could you try to help......." Blaine trailed out lightly.

Darcy, who was halfway across the street looked back. "Blaine!" he yelled as he turned to run toward his friend.

Wylie reached a hand out to help, then withdrew. She figured that Darcy would take care of him anyways. "Sit down or...something?"

Lawrence also reached out a hand, but retracted it quickly. "Um. Are you alright?"

"Blaine! Blaine! Talk to me, are you okay? What's wrong?" Darcy practically screamed the words.

Blaine looked at Darcy trying to hear him but he couldn't "Will someone turn off the radio?" Blaine asked quietly, he looked at Wylie and Lawrence, 'they look worried, Wylie you make me think of someone very close to me but i can't remember.' Blaine thought looking at them just before he closed his eyes and passed out.

Wylie blinked, unsure of what to do. "Hey. Dude." She lightly slapped the side of his face.

"There isn't even a radio on!" Lawrence exclaimed, his voice raising a few octaves at the end.

Wylie continued to try to get Blaine's attention. She looked up at Darcy. "Uh, does this happen a lot?"

"Not that I'm aware of." Darcy said with a worried tone. "Do you think we should take him to the hospital? I know that's probably a stupid question."

"Hospital. Sounds good," Lawrence said, hurridly, already heading off in that direction.

the doctor looked at Darcy, Wylie and Lawrence "He's having heart trouble for some reason his heart is failing him and we don't know why Darcy your a good friend of his right, do you know if there is any history of this kinda thing in his family? actually do any of you know?"

Wylie rocked back and forth on her heels and twiddled her thumbs. Hospitals made her very uncomfortable. On the way to the hospital, she had rubbed off her makeup and discarded her rabbit ears, giving her a more normal appearance. "I have no clue. I just met him." She clung on to Lawrence's arm nervously.

Darcy looked at the doctor "I am a good friend of his, but I sadly don't know of any heart problems from him or family. Sorry."

Lawrence, too, had discarded some of his makeup, as well as his hat and vest. He placed a hand gently over Wylie's. "Don't you have a file on someone related to him somewhere? I sort of thought that was a normal medical procedure."

"Of course they don't have files on him, Laurie," spoke a painfully familiar voice. "The people here are all",the speaker paused to lick his lips before continuing with a smile, "a bunch of bumbling idiots. They couldn't tell the difference between a stethoscope and an iron lung."

Lawrence's face showed a sign of recognition but his mouth stayed shut.

Blaine took a shallow breath and opened his eyes lightly, "whe...wher....where am I?" Blaine asked lightly trying to sit up. Blaine looked at Lawrence Wylie and Darcy.

the Doctor looked at Blaine and breathed heavy "Your heart i would like to know your family history to know if you have any history of heart problems."

"Blaine your awake!" Darcy exclaimed.

Lawrence sighed thankfully at Blaine's return to consiousness before eying the new speaker. "Joe," he said, eyes narrowing, "what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at home? Doing things."

The 'red headed nurse' laughed. "I'm here to," a pause and a mumble, "What do you call it?", another pause and a flick of tongue, "oh! Helll-heeeelll-heeellpppah. Heeeelp." He said it as if the word was foreign to him and laughed again.

Wylie avoided the eyes of 'Joe', continuing to cling to Lawrence's arm. "Um...how are you feeling?" She asked Blaine quietly.

Blaine looked at all of them then towards the doctor "I'm not sure on either side, you can get information from my father he's the politician for this area. Micheal Rivers, and my mother she died from a heart attack or some sort of condition."

the doctor looked down at his papers "I'll check with your father oh that information" he turned and left quitely

Wylie stilled clicked her heels. "So. Um. How are you feeling?" She asked Blaine.

Lawrence kept his eyes on 'Joe'.

Wylie asked the burly nurse, "...You gonna bomb the place?"

'Joe' shut his eyes and sighed. "...You're just ADORABLE, you know that?" He replied a little too happily, pinching Wylie's face rather hard, making her yelp.

He licked his lips and winked at Lawrence. "Bye now, Lawrie."

Wylie rubbed her cheeks. "...Ouch. That doctor's taking forever. Joe was right. Blaine would be better off with one of those doctors in the alleys that give abortions with coathangers..."

Lawrence groaned. "That man is too much." He took a clock out of his pocket and checked the time. "As long as 'JOe' hasn't decided to 'delay' him, he'll probably be back soon."

Blaine looked at them "Who's 'JOE'" he coughed hard and then sat up

Wylie replied, "..Don't worry about it." She looked around, seeing no smoking signs, craving a cigarette.

The brit pocketed his watch. "...He's just some guy we know." Giving Blaine a wary look, he added, "You should probably lie down until the doctor returns."

Blaine shock his head no "i don't wanna lie down i'll be fine." in Blaine's mind he heard someone else state that very same fact 'yes we are fine.' "Did on of you two say something?"

"I agree, you should lay down." Darcy said looking at Blaine.

Blaine looked at Darcy with a pout "i'm fine" he stated 'oh yes we're fine look at that man's eyes they are so beautiful i could keep them forever in a jar by my bed.' Blaine grabbed his head quickly almost into a fetal position

"Blaine!" Darcy said in a concerned and worried tone. "Blaine are you okay? Answer me please!"

Blaine heard Darcy screaming at him "SOMEONE'S TALKING TO ME IN MY HEAD I'M GOING CRAZY!" Blaine screamed

Wylie shrugged. "Welcome to the club, man."

"And you just discovered this now?" Lawrence questioned, uncharacteristicly sarcastic. "I think we've relized we're all mad here. No need to shout it out."

Blaine threw Lawrence and Wylie a mean look "no seriously, he says he's names Blade. And he hates all of you."

"Oh just what we need. He probably hate me to." Darcy says in a slightly sarcastic tone. "Well either way you are still my friend no matter what."

Blaine looked at Darcy "Thank you friend, i can't wait to get out of here"

Wylie sighed. "Me neither," She mumbled. "What are we waiting for, anyways?"

The doctor walked in at that moment "Just for me to come in," He smiled lightly "Alright Mr. Blaine i think you should be ready to get out of here"

"Good," Lawrence sighed. "Hospitals make me all stuffy and uncomfortable."

Blaine smiled in his mind he was jumping for joy till Blade kicked him when he was happy 'they'll just send you to a mental hosptial for hearing me you know that kid.' Blade stated to him "They're not going to send me there." Blaine said out loud.

"Of course they aren't," Wylie replied, "You're already in the hospital. Hopefully not for too much longer, the smell of this joint is giving me a headache."

Lawrence cock an eyebrow. "...I don't think he meant the hospital, Wylie. I'm quite sure he knows where he is. Anyways, I'm tired of being in here. I'll be outside getting some air if anyone needs me." He walked towards the door.

Wylie was about to follow him, but then hesitated. For some reason she thought it would be better to stay with Blaine and leave Lawrence alone. "So you're hearing voices, huh?" She asked Blaine curiously

Blaine nodded "yes, he says things to me, he says his name is Blade."

Wylie swayed and played with her hair. "Curiouser and curiouser," She chimed dreamily.

Blaine pulled his knee's into his chest "i really don't want to hurt anyone, but he does he want's to kill those special to me."

Wylie looked at a lone scalpal on the surgical table and picked it up with gentle hands. She stared at her big-eyed reflection. "You should be worried about the people special to you. Those are the only ones that matter." Making sure none of the hospital staff watched, she slid the utensil into her skirt. "Who is special to you, anyways?"

Lawrence walked angrily back into the hospital. "It's bloody raining out. I'm staying in here." His once mildly tame hair was now a clump of curls.

Blaine looked at Wylie and Lawrence just as a man in a gray tux walked in. "Blaine!" he walked in, he turned his head looking at Wylie and Lawrence 'that female reminds me of someone.' the thought. "Blaine what the hell happened to you, do you know how much a heart replacement for my only son is going to cost my polls it'll look like I'm unfit!"

Blaine looked at his feet "hi Father."

Wylie sheepishly stared at her feet and fumbled for Lawrence's hand, obviously uncomfortable. The man's demanding prescence and familiarity made her nervous.

Lawrence grabbed her hand and patted it gently. Suddenly, he really wished his hair was neater. And that he had put on cleaner shoes.

Blaine looked at his father, he already knew that his father was disappointed in him for being not the straightest person on the block. "i'm sorry dad it's just, i'm sorry."

Wylie stared at the man, examining everything about him. She wanted to say something but couldn't speak. Instead, she squeezed Lawrence's hand.

Lawrence squeezed back. "Well. Um. Perhaps we should step aside and let you two have some private time?"

Blaine looked at Wylie and Lawrence "please don't leave."

Blaine's father looked at the two of them then back towards blaine "Fine, who the hell are you two?" he said straightening his tie.

Wylie still wouldn't speak. Her mind screamed at her to flee, but her feet stayed firmly on the ground, obeying Blaine's pleas. She gave Lawrence a troubled look.

Blaine frowned "dad, these are my friends, Wylie and Lawrence."

"Okay. We won't leave." Lawrence looked uneasily back at Wiley before looking at Mr. Rivers. "Nice to meet you, sir." He squeezed Wiley's hand a little tighter.

Mr. Rivers turned towards Wylie "you look very familiar like i know you, i think i know you." his face suddenly turned in shock "ALICE!"

Wylie pulled her hand away from Lawrence and fled without saying a word, pushing nurses and doctors out of the way.

Blaine looked at his father "you mean Alice, my sister Alice? Lawrence get Wylie before she gets hurt"

Lawrence nodded and took off down the hall after, apologizing to the staff as he went. "WYLIE! PLEASE DON NOT RUN IN THE HALLS!"

Wylie continued to run until she made her way outside of the hospital. She didn't know where to go from there, so she sobbed, staring at her shoes.

Lawrence caught up with her quickly. "What's the matter?" he asked, hugging her from behind.

Wylie turned around and collapsed in his arms, crying into his chest. "I thought they forgot about me!" She choked between sobs.

Stroking her hair, Lawrence hugged her closer. "But they didn't." His voice came out ragged with relief.

Wylie sobbed harder and said angrily, "I'm so stupid! Stupid, stupid, STUPID!"

Lawrence grabbed her face and tilted it upwards. "Look at me." He took a deep breath. "You're not stupid. Not of this is your fault and your reaction was a common one. Now, calm down. I'm sure they want to see you, to talk to you, to get reunited."

Wylie's lips quivered and she shook her head. "Nuh uh. They won't want me," She sniffled.

"You don't know that until you talk to them." Lawrence reached out to wipe some of her tears. "Besides. Who wouldn't want you?" He smiled at her lovingly.

After wiping her eyes on the back of her sleeve like a child, Wylie replied with a meek, "Okay."

Lawrence smiled again and kissed her forehead. "Ready to go back in? They're probably reading worried."

Wylie nodded and smiled. "Thank you," She said quietly.

"Anytime." Lawrence grabbed her hand and led her back inside.

Blaine jumped off of the bed "sorry dad" and he took off running down the hallways "Wylie!" he yelled jumping on her. "i thought you died that's why, i knew you looked like a lost memory when i saw you!" he stated crying.

Though startled by the sudden embrace, she returned it and cried, too. "Died? I thought you forgot about me," She said, hurt.

Blaine frowned "FORGET! i feel down a well and hit my head but i didn't forget about you we thought you were killed. We lost mum, and then we thought we lost you."

Wiley stopped crying, shocked. "Wait...Mum? What happened to her?"

Mr. Rivers walked down the hall then "Your mother passed away not long after we lost you. Blaine and her would go out and look for you for hours, i had the whole police force looking for you also. She just got very sick, we don't know what happened, i believe it was the same thing that Blaine has. the heart problem i mean. But she wouldn't let me send her to the doctor, no matter what."

Wylie didn't cry anymore. Nothing could really suprise her now. She avoided looking at her father. He seemed much colder than the father she used to favor over everyone else. She still clung onto Blaine.

Blaine looked at Wylie "It doesn't matter mum would be so happy, but were a family again well, at least you and me Wylie." Blaine threw a mad look at his father.

Wylie looked longingly at her father. Even if he didn't want her, she wanted him. She hugged him and said quietly, "Daddy."

Mr. Rivers smiled and kissed his daughter's head "my little girl, i missed you so much."

Lawrence smiled but looked away from the scene awkwardly.

Blaine looked at Lawrence "it's alright Lawrence." Blaine smiled, Blaine frowned and grabbed his chest. He put his hand against the wall.

Wylie peered into his face curiously. "What's wrong?" she asked.

Blaine smiled trying to wipe that look off his face "Nothing, nothing at all." he smiled guitly

Not believing him, she asked, "Um, are you sure? Maybe you should lie down or something."

Blaine smiled "yea i think it's just my heart is acting up, after all just got a new one ya know."

"Should we call the doctor in?" Lawrence asked.

Blaine looked at Lawrence "oh no I just need to go get the pain medication."

Wylie took Blaine's arm. "Okay. Let's go get them, then."

Blaine smiled weakly "yea, sorry today's just been a heart stopping day, it's been very exciting." He laughed lightly at his own little pun and held his hand to his chest as they walked down the hall.

Mr. Rivers followed behind keeping his distance, he'd never been to close with his son but he still loved him enough to keep tabs on him. Plus his daughter was there and he had missed her so much. the smiled looking at Blaine and Wylie and sent positive thoughts to his wife 'They both remind me of you so much, they both look just like you.'

Wylie smiled at Blaine's joke as she helped him along. She looked over her shoulder and gave her father a big smile.

Blaine frowned he felt like he was letting his father down, maybe he should have been the one to disappear. 'Yes you should disappear.' Blaine heard lightly. Blaine looked at Wylie "did you say something?"

Wylie blinked and shook her head. "No," She replied innocently. "We should get you that medicine..."

Blaine nodded "I Agree." Blaine felt like someone smiled in the back of his mind 'They only want to give you that medication because your insane already you fag. Don't take it, we could do excellent things together we could rule." the voice said. "Who are you?" Blaine stated

Wylie, "I'm Wylie. Hey, hey Mr. Doctor-man!" She tugged at the sleeve of a passing doctor, "We need some medicine for my brother. He's acting funny."

The doctor turned to Wylie "how so?"

Blaine looked pissed off "I'M NOT ACTING FUNNEH!" Blaine stated. 'Blaine lets get out of here, there is a window open over there. we are only on the second floor the fall won't hurt us.' the voice told Blaine. Blaine looked at the window and made a run for it.

"HEY WAIT!" Wylie sprinted to the window and saw Blaine running away. It was a long fall. She decided to go out of the front doors of the hospital instead of jumping.

Lawrence ran after Wiley. His long legs let him catch up to her quickly and he scooped her into his arms as he passed her.

"HEY!" She protested loudly, feebly pounding on his arms. "Lemme down! He's gonna get himself hurt!"

"Or he'll hurt you," the Brit stated calmly, still sprinting. "Besides, I'll get us to him much faster."

She kicked her feet like a pouty child. "He wouldn't hurt me! Lemme go!"

Lawrence looked at her briefly, his expression stern. "No."

She kicked harder. "I have legs, I can walk myself! Stop being a jerk, Lawrie!"

"Fine," Lawrence spit out before letting her fall unceremoniously to the ground. He manages to at least make sure her feet hit the hard dirt before the rest her body does before taking off after Blaine.

"OW!" Wylie clamored to her feet before going after them. "GUYS! STOP RUNNING!"

Blade looked back at Lawrence who was catching up quick along with Wylie running after him. "Damn! the tall one is faster than we thought." Blade stated as he turned into a alleyway. Blade's eyes flew everywhere looking for something to get him away from those two, he needed time to prepare and to get real clothes. he saw a pipe and smiled to himself as he jumped up to climb up the pipe, in the back of Blade's head he could hear Blaine screaming 'NO WE NEED TO GO BACK TO THE HOSPITAL I DON'T WANNA BE HERE!'

Wylie yelled, "BLAINE! BLAINE!!" until she finally caught up to him in the alley. "Blaine, what the fuck are you doing? Come on, let's go back to the hospital."

Blaine smiled "The name is Blade. I'm not going back to that hospital, but I am going to get some real clothes maybe a suit. I'm the Red Knight of this world girly and there is nothing you can do about it."

Wylie rolled her eyes and grabbed his wrist, "Yeah, whatever. Let's go."

Blade eyes narrowed and he grabbed her wrist with his other hand and twisted "I SAID I'LL BE TAKING MY LEAVE" he said with a lot of force. Blaine was screaming in his mind 'NO DON'T HURT MY SISTER!'

Wylie felt her wrist snap and she winced. Then she knew this really was another person, even if she didn't know Blaine well, he wouldn't harm anyone.

Blade smiled "So do you know now that i am not Blaine?" he laughed a bit and let go of her wrist. and again tried to climb up to get away from her and Lawrence.

Lawrence grabbed Blade by the back of his shirt and pulled him towards the ground. "Are you ok?" he asked Wiley, voice full of concern, as Blade continued to struggle.

Wylie wrung her swollen wrist. "Yeah," she said. She looked down at Blade with confusion.

Blade looked very pissed off as he couldn't get away, 'Curse this short body of mine.'
