Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player Review

When I moved in with my husband, I brought with me a few of the things that I had in my home before meeting him. One of those things was my very own DVD player, a DVD player which has since been retired in favor of his, which is significantly better than mine was/is.

While I was living on my own, money was often very tight, so I never really had much extra cash to buy myself anything that was really high in quality. Generally I shopped for the cheap that would last long enough for me to get a year’s worth of use out of the product before I would have to buy it again. It sucked, but it was what I could afford. Therefore, when I purchased a DVD player for myself, I didn’t pick up anything that was top-of-the-line; rather, I opted for the Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player.

The Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player initially appealed to me because of the price, which was pretty inexpensive at right around fifty bucks, and the size, which was fairly compact, enough so that it wouldn’t take up much room in my tiny living-space.

The Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player really is pretty tiny, measuring in at nine inches long by nine inches wide. I’m not sure about the weight, but I do know that it is not nearly as heavy as other DVD players, in fact, it’s quite light! Because the Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player is so small, it fit easily in my small entertainment center that I had at the time. The Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player also comes with a remote that works well, the buttons are all easy to use and it was a lot easier to use the remote than to try to use buttons on the DVD player itself.

The Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player was simple for me to hook up, even on my own. Normally I’m not at all good at setting stuff up, and usually I end up hooking things up incorrectly a few times before I get things plugged into the right sockets, but the Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player was really a piece of cake! It was really as simple as just plugging things into the correct outlets, and took very little time.

The Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player has several features including the fact that it plays DVDs, CDs, MP3s and more, as well as it has Dolby Digital Surround Sound.

Unlike the DVD player that we are now using, the load time for the Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player is pretty slow, and there are a few DVDs in my collection that took a noticeably longer time to load up than other DVDs did, which I thought was weird.

The Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player surprised me in that it lasted longer than I thought it would for being such an inexpensive piece of equipment. However, I suppose part of that is due to the fact that it really hasn’t been used much lately.

I recommend the Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player for families that don’t have a lot of money to spend on electronics, or else for people who aren’t looking for top-notch, tons-of-features equipment. However, for those out there who are looking for something that is truly high-quality, the Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player is not the way to go, as it is a very average DVD player.
