Cycle of Script.

In this world, the attention and appreciation for the writers is dropping. Less and less people are willing to buy a book, or a magazine. Of course, all this makes sense, because internet makes everything more accessible, and not to mention cheaper. It saves you the walk to the store, the money, and all the information you don’t care about.

In other words, internet outnumbers normal writing.

However, with the decreasing of writers, and of course, writings, the number of readers also drops drastically. Let it be that we get most of our reading skill from magazines and other writings, this causes people in the future to have more trouble in school with their native language, and through this, also the other languages they learn.

People do not read online. They just don’t. And even if they do, it’s only temporarily, or it is a comic, which barely contains any literature at all. The numbers will eventually drop too low to keep up interest. The amount of writers will slowly decrease, and only the outstanding ones will remain. It will become like the acting business, you can’t really live of it, unless you are really good.

Cycle of Script:

Cause: Less and less people are getting interested in reading, be it on the internet, or actual books and magazines.

Effect: Less writers will appear, because it will get harder and harder to make a living of it, plus, a decent skill in language is needed, unlike acting or such, which will be equal to get known by.

Cycle: With less readers, and the decrease of interest, less and less writers will appear. With less writers, less writings will be made, thus decreasing the number of readers even more.

Input: Writers with the, so called, “balls” will be still appear, and will not back down until they get to the top. This is what will keep the write-and-read world alive, and loved by few.

2010-04-27 [Alexi Ice]: Ok. Firstly; if you think you can live of writing you are a little deranged. Everyone I know tells me 'you can publish a novel, but unless your Stephanie Meyer, you need something else to put bread on the table.' The question I have is..where is the faith? For writers, people who TRULY love and want to write, can we stand up to books like Twilight and Harry Potter, Eragog (SP?) and The Hobbit?
No. Probably not. But the way I see it is, if I can change one persons life with the things I write, or bring one smile to someones face then...well...it might just be worth wasting my time.

2010-04-27 [Sinchao]: That's true, but Stephenie Meyer is definetely not having trouble putting bread on the table.

I'm not saying it's easy, but the possibility is there.

2010-04-27 [Alexi Ice]: Whore. She ruined my Vampire genra. Everything I write that even MENTIONS a Vampire now has people going 'oh, is this like Twilight?' <----- Rant for the day. It makes me so freaking angry!

True! All we have to do is work hard!

2010-04-30 [Sinchao]: Twilight does suck very hairy balls. But yeah, she's still a rich whore ;P
