Dahaerik teaches Anya
Dahaerik stopped at a black door, swinging it open, allowing Anya to step through first. The floor was made from remarkeable marble stone. In the center of the hall were several training dummies, each with a rotating base, and several arms hanging out.
"Welcome to the sword play training ground" the drow said, a smile upon his face.
Anya walked in smiling. She looked around curiously and poked the dummies smiling. "Well I surprised I haven't seen this place before. I am a curious creature."Anya turned and faced the Drow. "Ok. What's first?" She asked smiling.
"First of all, posture" the dark elf said, "you need to learn how to stand, and how to hold the blade" He moved behind her, grabbing her arms gently. "Hold the sword with the point upwards" he said as he raised her arm.
Anya nodded and allowed Dehaerik to move her arms. Anya turned her head to look at the Drow "Am I doing this right,or do I just look like an idiot with a sword?" Anya laughed alittle.
He shook his head. "It'll take time and practice before I can judge you" he said quietly, kicking lightly at her feet, "I'm not going to move those for you" he said softly, "make sure when fighting your feet are always spread. You'll find it much easier to ballance yourself this way"
Anya nodded and spreaded her feet. She laughed at the thought of someone walking it and seeing there faces. She tighted her grib on the blade and waited for the next command.
Blake sat at the edge of the ring watching them quietly.
The drow reached out from behind her, placing his hand on hers, "Loosen your grip," he said softly, "It'll only drop if you let it. And you don't want you hand to blister."
Anya blushed alittle when he touched her hand making her drop the sword. "Droping it like that?" she asked smiling. Anya shook her head "I'm sorry. I guess I'm not all here." She replied quietly.
Dahaerik chuckled, leaning over to pick the hilt of the sword up. He then looked her top to bottom before saying "You seem to be all here" his voice still soft, "if you're not all here, then where's the rest of you?" he continued as he handed the sword to her.
Anya laughed and rolled her eyes "Oh aren't you a clever one. I meant well..you know what I meant." Anya shook her head. "Maybe this isn't the best day for me to learn I guess. I don't know what has gotten into me today." Anya threw the sword in the air and caught it again. She was always good at doing tricks with swords but she never learnt how to fight with them.
"Then...may I ask why you asked me to teach you today?" the drow said, a smile upon his face. "That;s a somewhat neat trick, perhaps you could use it to fight"
Anya sighed "I guess I didn't see that I was so out of it. But atleast now I'm away from people. "Anya smiled "Thanks. I can also spin a sword in my hand. I used steal my brother's sword to practice. He would get so angry because of the scratches I put in the sword."
The drow smiled, his eyes glittering in the light of the room. "Do you wish to stop for the time being?" he asked her.
Anya nodded and noticed that she was staring into the drows eyes for a long time. Anya quickly looked away. "Yes that would be maybe best." She said softly.
He smiled once more and turned. As he made his way to the door he stopped and turned his head, "Keep that sword for now, I'll teach you how to use it" He said, his tone calm and gentle, his smile warm and sincere. "Give yourself time, and you will learn well"
Blake smiled at the pair and got to his feet. he unsheathed his sword and began to attack a dummy.
Anya smiled and nodded. She sat down and watched Blake and thought quietly. She was so confused about what she wanted. She rested the sword down and kept watching him.
Blake took all his anger and hurt out on the dummy. Soon enough the dummy had been totally desroyed. He sank to his knees and looked at the ground ashamed of himself
Blake walked back into the ring and looked around for Dahaerik
