Dayo walked back into the arena, waving to the referee, "Hello, I'm here for another round of circus maximus, but it's just myself this time."

Nickademus lifted his head when Dayo walked in then got up and walked out from his small shaded alcove.
"Oh, I don't think you would fare all that well against another kitty, kitty." He said, remembering the Seeker Sharpshooter she had fought with Usserhadd last time.

"You don't say..." Dayo said, drawing out her words with a deathly glance towards Nickademus, "I was hoping you'd have something a little more to my pace, somewhere in this scum hole you call an arena."

Mika entered the Arena, accompanied by Audun, his Silveron pup, and called out to Dayo. "You won't have to fight alone, if you do not wish to. I am looking for some training myself, and I would be happy to assist you in your fight."

Dayo turned and looked at the man who had just called to her, "Well, this seems to be my lucky day," she said, planting the end opposite the blade of her voulge into the ground, "The name's Dayo, and I'd be happy to have someone else fight along side me."

"Both of you seem in agreement! Two fighters it is!" Nickademus said, ignoring Dayo's affront to his Arena. "How much of a sweat do you two want to break?"

"We'll take an average contest please, somthing at our level of skill. Unless he has other ideas," Dayo said, jutting a thumb towards Mika.

Mika shook his head. "An average challenge will do just fine, m'lady. My name is Mika, and this is my Silveron, Audun."
He tapped his tabard, which he wore over his chainmail, showing the sign of Nesha. "The light of Nesha will be on our side. Let's see if we can give this Arena a good fight."

"Right..." Dayo said as she scanned over Mika, "Sorry, but I'm not a very religious woman, and about the only thing I'm going to revere is Sei'anna."

"It doesn't matter." Mika said. "You don't need to be a follower of Nesha to recieve her blessings. In any case, my healing magic might give us a small edge in battle."
He turned towards the referee. "We are both ready. Let's begin, shall we?"

"Let her bless me then. I just hope you're as good of a fighter as you are a talker," Dayo said as she readied her weapon.

"I can assure you my blade is sharper than my tongue." Mika said, drawing his Damascus. "I'm just a bit uncomfortable having no shield. That smithy, Rizzo, wouldn't give quite as much money for my spoils of war as I'd hoped."

"You two should get married." Nickademus commented before running off to his shaded alcove and disappearing down some steps.

Within a few moments of Nickademus' vanishing act, a porticulis at the edge of A10 oppened. Out stepped a black Thazerian, which was easilly identifiable by his large cobra-fan at the back of its head, and it carried the customary pair of blade shields and fang daggers!
It smoothly walked to G12, its forked tongue slithering out to test the air on the way.

Sensing some impending violence, a pile of rubble at B3 (that had been created by some overzealous knight in a previous fight) started to shake and out popped a rock figment!

Venomancer's turn!

Without much warning, the Venomancer charged the combatants, a cloud of smoke rose as he covered the distance between them, his tail flailing behind him!
As he reached G4, he used his momentum to lunge at Mika and tried to bite the lochmorian in the face!

As Mika tried to defend himself, the thought that he should've bought a helmet went through his head.

Mika got unlucky and fumbled with his sword as he tried to bring it up to defend himself!
The thought of getting a helmet was the last thing that passed through his head before the venomancer's teeth were upon him and sinking into his face! It ripped out Mika's left cheek and left deep gouges on the right side of his forehead, dealing 14 damage! Though he was lucky and his eyes remained untouched, blood was now pouring from his forehead into his right eye!

Dayo's turn!

"Well, that proves you're a good fighter, fumbling on your own sword," Dayo said, as she swung her voulge at the venomancer.

The Venomancer quickly let go of Mika's face and brought up both his bladed shields!

Dayo's voulge bounced harmlessly as the Venomancer's shields came into position and deflected it!

Mika's turn! -
Trying to restore his wounds, Mika took his healing potion of his belt, and quickly drank it.

Mika quickly downed the potion while Dayo was keeping the Venomancer busy and restored 11 HP! The bleeding stopped and his wounds closed up as best they could, but he'd now have a scar on his forehead and left cheek.

Audun's turn! -
Audun bravely jumped at the Tharezian, trying to bite him in the leg, and trip him if he got a hold.

It's reptile reflexes warning it, the Venomancer saw Audun and tried to sidestep the silveron's attack!

Audun's teeth closed in on air as the Venomancer jumped aside!

Rock Figment's turn! -

The Rock Figment hardened itself twice!

Rock Figment's Base Def is now 7!

Venomancer's turn! -

Turning it's attention on Dayo, the venomancer attacked the lioness, aiming for a shoulder this time!

Dayo tried to push off the venomancer with her voulge, hoping that if she couldn't catch his attack with her weapon, her armor would protect her.

Dayo's voulge couldn't have done a better job at stopping the Venomancer's attack! The reptilian got a mouthfull of metal instead of flesh!

Dayo's turn! -

A wily smile spread across Dayo's face as she saw the venomancer took a faceful of steel, and with such she shouted in an uncomprehensible tongue as she thrusted her voulge at the venomancer, hoping to connect with a weak spot in his armor.

The Venomancer quickly brought up his shields again to meet Dayo's voulge!

The steel from Dayo's voulge rang as it hit the blades on the Venomancer's shield! Sadly though, for the feline, the voulge didn't make it farther than the shield, again.

Mika's turn! -
Mika spotted the rock figment from the corner of his eye, but figured Audun might be able to take it. He focused his attention on the reptile, and grasped his blade tightly. Then he attacked the creature, shouting a warcry! "LOCHMORE!!"

The Venomancer, warned by the lochmorian's battlecry, tried once again to jump to the side to evade the attack!

Though the reptilian was quick, Mika's blade was quicker still and caught it on its side! The damascus left a deep gouge and dealt 19 damage!

Audun's turn! -

"How's that for fumbling?" Mika said, as an answer to Dayo's earlier remark when he was caught by surprise by the reptilian.

Audun shifted his attention to the small pile of moving rock, and attacked the figment instead of the Tharezian.

The Rock figment defended against the attack how he knew best, he stayed put.

Audun tried attacking the figment but didn't succeed in dealing any damage! Seems biting down on rock wasn't all that effective!

Rock figment's turn! -

The Rock figment hardened himself twice more!

Rock Figment's Base Def is now 10!

Venomancer's turn!

Uttering sounds of pain and venomus anger, the Venomancer snapped at Mika's face again, knowing it had been a good weak spot last time it tried!

Mika, better prepared this time, defended by hacking his sword at the Venomancer's face!

Mika was indeed better prepared and successfully foiled the Venomancer's attack!

Dayo's turn!-

With Mika to the Lizard's flank, Dayo took a well aimed hack towards the lizard's neck with her axe, hoping that it would pierce through his defenses.

Mustering up as much effort as he could, the Venomancer scrambled to get his shield up between itself and Dayo's voulge!

The Venomancer got his shield up in time, but his arm wasn't strong enough to sustain Dayo's attack this time! Dayo's voulge plowed through the shield and continued on to the lizard's neck! A few large gushes of blood later, the Venomancer was sprawled on the ground, his head nearly severed.

Mika's turn! -
Mika gave a sigh, happy they were done with the snakeman. He turned around, saw Audun trying to get at the rock, and noticed the pup didn't really have much luck. Mika charged and lunged his damascus at the rock, hoping to smash it into tiny bits.

The Rock Figment did what it knew best and decided to weather Mika's attack!

Mika's damascus violently came down on the rocky form of the Figment, caught a straight edge and was harmlessly deflected to the side! Mika was lucky his sword didn't chip!

Audun's turn! -
Audun didn't feel like biting down on a stone again, and tried to bash the rock with the sheer force of his weight (aka tries to tackle/body bash the rock, whatever you call it).

Once again, the Figment stayed its ground!

Where tooth and blade failed, Audun's tackle succeeded, surprisingly! The silveron slammed into the Rock Figment with enough force to send it flying into the remnants of the stone pillard at C3! The impact of rock upon rock was such that it caused 10 damage to the Figment and cracked it in half! Audun took 1 damage from bashing into the Figment so hard.

"Good boy, Audun! Very well done!" Mika applauded his pet, as he helped the Silveron get out, and brushed the dust of his fur. Audun happily barked, glad he'd defeated the moving pile of rocks.
Mika got up, and threw the loot on a pile. "Alright, seems like a fair loot to me. I say we split it 50/50. Each of us a shield, a dagger, a vial of antidote and a vial of poison, and 25 GP. Would you agree with that?"

"Sounds fair to me," Dayo said as she stretched out her hand to Mika, in an attempt for him to shake it, "You did fight well, save for that one mishap, but I won't hold it against you after slaying that foul thing the way you did," She smiled as she looked down at the pile of loot, and sorted it out into the two equal piles before she started to pack up one of the piles. If nothing else, she surely figured it would fetch a fair price at market.

Mika shook Dayo's paw, and took his fair share of the loot. "Yeah, that little slip will probably leave me with a permanent scar." He touched his forehead, feeling the new scar. "I guess I'd best use this money for a helmet or something." He laughed. "Come Audun, it's time to go."
Audun happily barked, still proud of himself, and followed Mika as he left the arena, waving a last goodbye at Dayo before completly dissapearing.

Dayo smiled and nodded before slinging her stuff over her back and heading out.
