Appearance: She's a rather short young woman about 4 and a half feet tall.Her hair is thick and red brown and reaches down to her ankles when she leaves it down. She almost never does however and instead she tends to keep it tied up behind her head with a metal hair clip she made herself. Her skin is a dark tan to light brown color. She's fairly muscular, although not overly built. Her eyes are two different colors. The right is a dark brown and the left eye is a yellowish green color. She has two obvious scars on her and other ones that are hidden by her clothing. The first obvious scar crosses across the bridge of her nose and down her left cheek to her jaw. The other is an x shaped scar on her shoulder. She's rarely seen without bruises and scrapes on her, as well as soot or some dirt or stain on her skin and clothing. She wears usually a very tight, sleeveless shirt. And overly thick heavy pants, that sag down at her hips. It's barely held up by a belt that crosses her hips at an odd angle, and weighed down by a heavy leather bag. The belt itself is covered with pockets all over with odd trinkets and tools in them. There are multiple tools and devices strapped to her in various places. She has a metal mechanical cover for her shoulder that looks like armor and is usually strapped down to her shirt. She has a metal clip that holds her hair in place that she uses often to hold her tools when she's working on something, but still tends to forget they're there and so they stick out of the bun almost all the time. Her gloves each have wires and other mechanical objects with several uses programmed into them, that Deltira tries not to change too often, but occasionally fiddles with them and has to reprogram and fix. Her four earings (two on each ear) are similarly programmed. When her clothing get's torn she tends to staple them shut instead of sewing them, so she can get back to work faster.
Profession: Engineer, inventer, and mechanic
History: Deltira was born in a smallish town in southern United States. She was a prodigy as a child liking to take things apart and usually making them somewhat better or entirely different when she put them back together. Her parents sent her as an apprentice to a cranky old engineer, who taught her some and often ignored her. He died after a couple of years and Deltira shut herself away in his home that he'd passed on to her after the funeral. She stayed in their alone, for a few years. When she came out she started traveling and using all the things she'd learned from his library as well as the old man's teachings, and on her own. She seemed to be crazy from her long time without human contact, and had developed a strange sense of humor that wasn't always funny. At least that's what she tended to let people believe. Eventually this led her on a journey to Africa.
Personality: Deltira is wickedly clever engineer, mechanic, and over-all machine fix-it. She likes to throw people off by acting as if she's eccentric and a little crazy. She's more likely to fix her everyday problems with machines or peices of metal. Hence the stapled rips in her clothing and the metal, hair-clip/tool
-kit. She doesn't care anything about the way she looks and is often dirty, her clothing mainly for convienience and efficiency not for modesty or fashion. She occasionally has a gruesome or cruel sense of humor, but she's a softy deep down. She is often willing to help anyone who seems to need her help, but she acts almost as if she's doing it by accident, and usually complains about it at length. She does get angry when people mess with or destroy her machines and often makes people regret that they had anything to do with her, but she doesn't really kill people. She spends a lot of time alone with her machines and seems to prefer their company to other human beings. Despite that she is physically extremely fit, and makes certain that she can fight some even without her machines. Although you never know what sort of weapon she might pull on you if she gets annoyed. She doesn't easily lose her temper, even when she's acting as if she's angry it's usually just an act.
